Mr. Freddie Eugene Jacobs, age 57, of Briston, Fla., passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2001, at Tallahasseee Memorial Hospital, after a lengthy illness. He was born in St. Marks, Fla., and had lived in Bristol for five years. He was employed with the City of Tallahassee. He was a protestant. Visitation will be held Thursday, May 3, from 6 to 8 p.m. at McClellan Funeral Home in Bristol, Fla. Services will be held today, May 4, at 2 p.m. at McClellan Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Woodville Cemetery in Woodville, Fla. He is survived by his wife, Sherry Jacobs of Briston; son, Anthony Jacobs of South Dakota; three daughters: Cynthia Jacobs Stone o f Tallahassee, Genie Lynn Jacobs of Bristol, Ashley Elizabeth Jacobs of Briston; mother, Winnie Lou Pitts of Panama City; brothers: Leroy Jacobs of Crawfordville, Wayne Jacobs of Panama Cioty, Corky Denim of Youngstown, David Flethcher of Brannonville; sisters: Gail French of Panama City, Donna Flethcer of Brannonville, Joyce Young of Crawfordville; and three grandchildren. McClellan Funeral Home in Briston is in charge of the arrangements.

MARIE WATERS
Mrs. Marie Waters, 88, of Graceville, Fla., and formerly of Marianna, Fla., in the McChapel Community, died Sunday, April 29, at 12:18 p.m. in Campbellton-Graceville Hospital following an extended illness. She was a native of Jackson County and a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Malone, Ga. Funeral services for Mrs. Waters will be held Saturday, May 5, at 1 p.m. at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church with Elder W.C. Franklin officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Christian Memorial Chapel of Graceville directing. Mrs. Waters is survived by three sons: George Waters of Seattle, Wash., Roy C. Waters of Graceville and Leroy Waters of Lakeland; and six daughters: Coretha Caw of Lakeland, Elizabeth Young of Graceville, Joyce McClain of Marianna, Johnnie M. Murff of Lakeland, Ollie Daniels of Lakeland and Bobbie Hall of Graceville. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today, May 4, from 6 to 7 p.m.

MARGARET R. ALLAN
Margaret R. Allan, age 89, of Panama City, Fla., passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2001. Mrs. Allan was born and raised in Iowa, where she graduated from Iowa State Teachers College in 1934 and later did graduate work at Florida State University. She moved to Bay County as a bride in 1935. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Oran J. Allan who died in 1991. One son, Merlin Allan and his wife Deanna of Destin, Fla., survives Margaret. As well as granddaughters, Shelly St. James of Seattle, Wash.; Tracey Gwaltney, Kristi Penuel and her husband Charles, and Suzette Allan, all of Birmingham, Ala.; Joanna Coley and her husband Sean of Mobile, Ala.; six great-grandsons and three great-grand-daughters; sisters-in-law, Mrs. Helen Allan Stansberry of Winter Park, Fla.; and Mrs. Evelyn Riggs of Montgomery, Ala.; and many friends. Margaret was associated with the Bay County School System for 30 years, first at Panama Grammar and then retiring in 1971 from Bay High School where she was a teacher and librarian. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Panama City, Women's Progressive Bible class, Sara Circle, Friday Angel Club, former member of A.A.U.W. Pilot Club and Senior Friendship Club. Memorial services for Margaret will be held at the First United Methodist Church of Panama City at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 7. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Library Fund of the First United Methodist Church, 903 East 4th Street, Panama City, FL 32401. Honorary pallbearers will be Earnest Walker, John Allan, Earnest Casalini, John Beach, Richard Locher, Ronald Drum, Thomas Smith, Kent Hall, Charles Lahan, and Marshall Anderson.

THURMOND GLENN BROWN
Thurmond Glenn Brown, age 95, died Friday, May 4, at the Glen Cove Nursing Pavilion in Panama City, Fla. Born in Foss, Okla., he moved to Panama City from Sayre, Okla., in 1997. Mr. Brown was retired from the State of Oklahoma following 28 years of service with the State Examiner and Inspector's Office and the State Highway Department. He was previously self-employed, owning businesses in both Sayre and Elk City. He had was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Sayre, where he served for many years as treasurer and as a deacon. He had been awarded a lifetime membership in Rotary International and was elected a Paul Harris Fellow. He was a past member of the BPOE and Scottish Right Temple. He was predeceased by his wife Katharine Brown of Sayre. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Sam and Evelyn Brown of Panama City Beach; three grandsons, Sam III and his wife Theresa of Tallahassee; Steven, of Palm Harbor, Fla.; and Scott, of Los Angeles; sister, Eugenia of Daytona Beach and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be conducted in the First Presbyterian Church of Sayre at a time to be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Shortgrass Country Museum or the general scholarship fund of the Sayre Junior College in memory of Thurmond and Katherine Brown.

Jason Michael Dandis, 29, of Bakersfield, Calif. died Thursday, May 3, 2001, in Bakersfield. He had been a lifelong resident of Panama City before moving to Bakersfield in January. He was a restaurant chef and was a graduate of Haney Vo-Tech. He was preceded in death by his father, Jon Michael Dandis. He is survived by his mother, Charlene Audet and her husband Stanley of Panama City Beach; daughter, Jade Michele Dandis; soul mate and mother of his daughter, Cassandra Allen, both of Bakersfield; an uncle, William Worthington. Memorial services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lewis Miller officiating .

MR. JESSE CARL EUBANKS
Mr. Jesse Carl Eubanks, 84, of Wewahitchka, passed away Friday, May 4, 2001, in Blountstown. A native of Clayton County, Ala., he had been a resident of Wewahitchka since 1951, and ran a milk truck in Gulf County for Borden's Dairy and Velda Farms before his retirement. Mr. Eubanks was a member of the First Baptist Church of Wewahitchka. Our Daddy was preceded in death by his wife and our mother, Louise Eubanks. He is survived by three sons, Jesse Eubanks Jr. and wife, Barbara of Wewahitchka, Bobby Eubanks and wife, Jeanne of Tallahassee, Harold Eubanks and wife, Jeanette of Kinard; two daughters, Jane Wade and husband, Timmy, Brenda Little and husband, Charlie, both of Wewahitchka; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. CDT, Monday, May 7 at the First Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Claude McGill. Interment will follow in the family plot in Roberts Cemetery. RUSSELL JAMES GREEN
Mr. Russell James Green, age 68, of 1119 Kentucky Ave., Lynn Haven, Fla., passed away Saturday, May 5, 2001, at a local hospital. He had been a resident of Bay County for 30 years. Mr. Green was a member of the St. Dominic's Catholic Church, served over 20 years in the U.S. Air Force, and over 20 years with the U.S. Postal Service. He was a former Little League Coach, and enjoyed sports. Mr. Green is survived by his wife, Betty Green of Lynn Haven; two sons: Michael Green, Rusty Green and wife Sandra, all of Panama City, Fla.; two daughters: Catherine Green, Meg Gavin and husband Chuck, all of Panama City; four grandchildren: Charlie, Justin, Jennifer, and Micah; one brother, Joseph Green of Miami, Fla.; and a special friend, Pamela Beck of Panama City. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, May 8, at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Father Peter Zalewski officiating. Interment will follow at the Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery with full military honors conducted by the Tyndall Air Force Base Honor Guard. ANNIE MARIE KITTS NELSON
Mrs. Annie Marie Kitts Nelson, 52, of 3033 Transmitter Road, Panama City, Fla., passed away Friday, May 4, 2001, at her home. She had been a lifetime resident of Bay County. Mrs. Nelson was a member of the Union of Bay County School Board Transportation, attended the Springfield Community Church, and enjoyed sewing, knitting, and quilting. Mrs. Nelson is survived by a daughter, Rhonda M. Tersigni and husband David E. of Northwood, Ohio; two sons: Joe Bob Nelson of Panama City Beach, Fla.; and John Stacy Nelson and wife Heather of Panama City; mother, Annie Hunt of Panama City; father, Leroy Kitts of New Augusta, Miss.; seven grandchildren: Thomas, Christopher, Lisa, Kenneth, Haley, Justin, and Zachary; three brothers, Douglas Kitts and wife Ann of Dothan, Ala.; Frank Kitts and wife Margaret of Sulfur, La.; and Raymond Kitts and wife Karen of Houston, Texas; a foster son, John Bunkley and his daughter Shanen; a special friend, Bill Limban; and special friends, Mary Vickers and Marilyn Pippin. Mrs. Nelson was preceded in death by her husband of 15 years, Kenneth R. Nelson and sister Diane Barlow. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, May 7, 2001, at the Springfield Community Church with the Rev. J.W. Hunt and the Rev. Dale Worley officiating. Interment will follow at the Oakland Cemetery. HELEN B. JOHNSON
Mrs. Helen B. Johnson, of 146 Helen Dr. Panama City, Fla., passed away Saturday, May 5, 2001, at a local hospital. She had been a resident of Bay County for 47 years, coming from Dothan, Ala. Mrs. Johnson attended Callaway Assembly of God Church. Mrs. Johnson is survived by her husband, Beauford H. Johnson Sr., of Panama City; one daughter, Carole Koagel of Panama City; two sons, Beauford H. Johnson, Jr. and Bobby E. Johnson, both of Panama City; three grandchildren, Michelle Roberts of Ft Lauderdale, Fla.; Chris Johnson and Justin Busch, both of Panama City; one sister, Mary Irvin of Jacksonville Fla.; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, May 7 at the Evergreen Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Bobby Thompson officiating; interment will follow. The family will receive friends at the Kent Forest Lawn Funeral Home today, May 6, from 2 to 4 p.m .

MRS. ELLA JEAN DICK NIX
Mrs. Ella Jean Dick Nix, age 78, died Thursday, May 3, 2001, at Shands at Lake Shore Hospital in Lake City, Fla. She was a native of Panama City, Fla., and had lived in Tallahassee for a number of years before moving to Dowling Park, Fla., where she had lived since 1987. Mrs. Nix was a member of the Order of Eastern Star #178 in Panama City for over 50 years. She was very active in Farm Bureau and was the woman's chairman for six years in Tallahassee; while there she achieved the highest women's activities in the state through Leon County. She was a member of the Baptist Church until she moved to Dowling Park, where she joined the Advent Christian Church. She was very active in her church by singing in the choir, serving in children's and youth ministries and teaching Sunday school. She served as a church hostess and worked with the senior citizens groups. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Carmen Dick and later by her second husband, Russell Nix and also by her brother, Charles M. Barnes. She is survived by a daughter, Mary Ann Williams of Martinez, Ga; one son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Sandra Dick of Albertville, Ala.; two sisters-in-law: Catherine Nix and Joanne Barnes, both of Panama City; two granddaughters: Carmen Williams of Hilton Head, S.C. and Sabrina Diehl of Augusta, Ga.; one stepson, James Nix Jr. of Jacksonville, Fla.; two step-granddaughters: Dianna Nix of Charlotte, N.C. and Wendy Morris of Fort Monroe, Va.; a niece, Jill Miley of Panama City; a special friend, Jim Henry of Dowling Park, Fla.; four great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. A graveside service will be held on Monday, May 7, at 2:30 p.m. in the Bixler Memorial Gardens, East. A memorial service will follow at 3 p.m. in the Good Samaritan Center in Dowling Park, Fla. The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until graveside services begin. LORINZO LEE TEW JR.
Lorinzo Lee Tew Jr., age 64, went to be with his Lord on Friday, May 4, 2001. Born in Slocomb, Ala. he moved to Panama City, Fla., in 1940. He moved his family to Niceville, Fla., in 1959, where he accepted a civil service position at Tyndall Air Force Base as a master baker and had been there for the past 21 years. He is survived by his loving wife, Betty M. Tew of Youngstown, who cared for him faithfully during his illness, and their five children; one son, Lorinzo Lee Tew III of Niceville; daughters, Debbie Elliott and husband Clay of Niceville; Donna Courtney and husband Wayne of Niceville; Deniese Carter and husband Bob of Youngstown; and Diana Siela and husband Gary of Ft. Wayne, Ind.; three brothers, Gerald Tew and wife Emma of McClenny, Fla.; Herbert Tew and wife Yessie of Kingman, Ariz.; and Carl Tew of Niceville; sister, Joyce Crandall and husband Bob of Niceville; seven grandchildren: Crystal, Jennifer, Austin, Andrew, Matthew, Jessica and Jake; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces. A funeral service will be conducted on Monday, May 7 at 11 a.m. in First Pentecostal Church, 179 N. Tyndall Pkwy. with the Rev. Allen Crabtree officiating. T. Julian Webb Jr., 65, of Chipley, Fla., passed from this life on Thursday, May 3, 2001, in Tampa, Fla. He was a lifelong resident of Chipley, Fla. He was of the Baptist faith and a member of New Prospect Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 7, at 10 a.m. at Wachob Chapel with Dr. Kermit Soileau officiating. ELI JEFFERSON HARRELL
Eli Jefferson Harrell, 89, of Chipley, passed away from this life Saturday, May 5, at his home after an extended illness. Mr. Harrell was a lifelong resident of Washington County, a member of First Baptist Church of Chipley, Hadji Temple of Pensacola, a member of the Panhandle Shrine Club and a member of the Orion Masonic Lodge. Mr. Harrell was Clerk of the Circuit Court of Washington County for 16 years and District Director of Welfare for 12 years. He owned and operated Evergreen Construction for many years here in Chipley. The family requests that flowers be omitted and donations be made to Shriners Burn Hospital and Crippled Children's Hospital, honoring Mr. Harrell's wishes. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the First Baptist Church in Chipley, with the Rev. Adolph Phares and the Rev. Mike Orr officiating. Burial will follow in the Glenwood Cemetery with Masonic Honors at the graveside with Brown Funeral Home of Chipley directing. Visitation will be today, May 7, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Wachob Forest Lawn Chapel. Mr. Harrell is survived by one brother, J.T. Harrell of Chipley; two grandchildren, Roger Laney III, of Chipley and Sheila Kirkland of Chipley; four great-grandchildren, Chelsea Laney, Chase Laney, Justin Kirkland and Jared Kirkland, all of Chipley.
