Mrs. Rose Mary Morel, age 65, of Lynn Haven, Fla., passed away Friday, June 8, 2001, at a local hospital. She was a native of Minneapolis, Minn., and had lived in Bay County for five years, moving here from Bradenton, Fla. Mrs. Morel was a homemaker and was of the Lutheran faith. She is survived by her loving husband, William E. Morel Jr. of Lynn Haven; her mother, Margaret Veara of Bradenton, Fla.; children, Robert Olson and his wife, Judy of Estill Springs, Tenn., Michael Olson of Marina, Calif., Scott Olson of Lynn Haven, Denise Gwodz and her husband, Frank of Anchorage, Alaska, and Nichole DiBacco and her husband, William of Lynn Haven; stepchildren, Eric Morel and his wife, Denise and Theresa Hrynkiw and her husband, John, all of Hartford, Conn.; sisters, Linda Wesphal and her husband, Lyle of Dayton, Minn., and Pat Thompson and her husband, Dan of Apple Valley, Minn.; brother, Michael Veara and his wife, Alice of Ocoee, Fla.; and many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Tuesday, June 12, at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Wesley Toncre officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, June 11, from 6 to 8 p.m.

Funeral services for Mrs. Lillian Adele Owens, of Panama City, will be conducted today, June 9, 2001, at 10 a.m. in Southerland Family Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ron Ball officiating. Interment will be private at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to service.

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Sharit, age 82, of Panama City, Fla., who went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 6, 2001, will be held 10 a.m. today, June 9 at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Steven Branscum officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.

DON DAVISON
Mr. Don Davison, age 64, of Callaway, passed away Friday, June 8, 2001, at a local hospital. He was a native of Middleport, N.Y., and had lived in Panama City for the past 27 years, moving here from Germany. He was retired as a MSGT after serving 23 years in the U.S. Air Force and was a member of the Parker United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Virginia Davison of Callaway; three sons, Richard S. Davison and wife, Cindy of Washington, D.C., Scott D. Davison and wife, Karen of Orlando, and Dennis J. Davison and wife, Marie of Panama City; a Daughter, Deanna J. Hall and husband, Dean of Almagordo, N.M.; one brother, David R. Davison of Bradenton, Fl.; one sister, Diana Kane and husband, Lewis of Sarasota, Fla.; his grandchildren, Rebecca R. Baily, Jessica C. Davison, Michael Christopher Davison, Deanna Ashley Davison, J. Michael Davison, Shane Allen Davison, Amy Jean Hall, Amanda Elizabeth Hall and Samantha Ann Hall; one great-grandson, William Baily. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 11, at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Paul Malson officiating and with full military honors. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today, June 10, 2001, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the building fund of the Parker United Methodist Church.

ROBERT ERNEST DORMAN
Funeral services for Robert Ernest Dorman, 83, of 2519 Mercedes Ave., Panama City, who died Friday, June 8, 2001, in a local hospital, will be held today, at 2 p.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Don Pickerill officiating. Interment will be in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens with masonic rites conducted at the graveside by the Acme Masonic Lodge #222. The masonic lodge will open at 1 p.m. Those desiring to may make a contribution to the Building fund of Hiland Park Baptist Church in memory of Robert Dorman. The family will be at the home of Pat & Deborah Revell, 1702 Sutherland Road, Lynn Haven. Active pallbearers are Wilmer Quick, Gary Dorman, Randy Dorman, Danny Dorman, Kenny Walker, Dick French, R.C. Vickers, Jimmy King, Sr., and Jim Watson. Honorary pallbearers are members of David Brown's Sunday school class of Hiland Park Baptist Church.

TRUMAN D. FLOURNOY
Truman D. Flournoy, 75, of Springfield, Fla., died Wednesday, June 26, 2001, at his residence. Born in Elmore County, Ala., he moved to Springfield in 1968. Mr. Flournoy worked for Western Electric as an installer and was Baptist by faith. He is survived by one son, James E. Flournoy of Pensacola, Fla.; one daughter, Vicki Hewell of Jacksonville, Fla.; one sister, Ruth F. Roberts of Eclectic, Ala; three granddaughters and two special family friends, the Russell family of Panama City and the Eden family of Birmingham, Ala. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, June 11, 2001, at 10:00 a.m., in the Southerland Family Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Buford Carter officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this evening from 6 to 8 p.m.

GROVER MADDOX
Grover Cleveland "Pee Wee" Maddox, 96, of Panama City died Saturday June 9, 2001, at a local health care facility. Born in Jackson City, Fla., he moved here 59 years ago. He then opened Pee Wee's oyster and raw bar in St. Andrews. Pee Wee was Protestant in faith. He was predeceased by his wife, Alice LuGenia Maddox and two sons. He is survived by four daughters, Bertha M. O'Carroll of Lynn Haven, Juanita Hough of Webb City, Mo., Ellen Grant of Panama City and Ruby Cantrell of Hurst, TX. One brother, Sylvester Maddox of Venice, Fla. One Sister, Louise Cobb of Panama City. Daughter-in-law, Joyce Maddox, sister-in-law, Pansy Maddox, both of Panama City. 19 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, June 12, 2001, at 11:00 a.m. in the Southerland Family Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. The family will be at home of Bertha Mae O'Carroll, 1707 Montana Ave., Lynn Haven FL. 32444.

Graveside funeral services for Raymond Dwight Moon, 86, of 3440 State 390, Panama City, who died Wednesday morning in his home, will be held on Monday at l0 a.m. in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens with Minister Jack Reece officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3 to 5 p.m. today. Active pallbearers are John Weidenhaft, Mike Suggs, Ken Davis, Robert White, and Tim Farris.

Anthony C. Nedir, 76, of Panama City Beach, died Friday, June 8, 2001, at his home. Mr. Nedir had been living in Bay County for the past several years. He is survived by a loving and faithful companion, his wife, Marie C. Nedir. The family has requested memorialization by cremation. Memorial services will be held at a later date.

THELMA EUNICE SCOON
Thelma Eunice Scoon, 69, of Locust Grove, Va., died Monday, May 28, 2001. Survivors are her husband, Casimir Edgar Scoon; three daughters, Cecile Marie Scoon of Panama City, Lydia Megan Scoon Rogers of Virginia, Valerie Scoon of California; a son, Dr. Malcolm Scoon of New York; two sisters, Esther Fitzgerald of Virginia and Gladys Hamilton of Maryland; and three grandchildren, Casimir, Sahara and Marley Peters, all of Panama City. Funeral services and burial were held Saturday, June 2, in Virginia. A memorial service for her Panama City friends will be held on Tuesday, June 5, at 6 p.m., at Battle Memorial Funeral Home, 1123 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.

CARL DEAN BRYANT
Carl Dean Bryant, age 67, of Panama City, passed away Saturday, June 9, 2001, at a local hospital. Mr. Bryant had been a resident of the area since 1950 and attended Immanuel Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict, and was a member of AMVETS Chapter No. 2298 of Panama City. Survivors include two daughters, Diane Dover and husband Ronnie of Ohatchee, Ala., and Marie Quick of Decatur, Tenn.; three sons, Kenneth Michael Bryant of Houston, Texas, Carl Dean Bryant Jr. of Panama City and Jimmy Bryant and wife Dena of Higdon, Ala.; seven grandchildren, Matthew, Clint, Donnie, Amy, Megan, Emily and Schaleigh; five sisters, Pat Green of Green Creek, S.C., Carolyn Bridges of El Paso, Texas, Vivian Suttles of Spartanburg, S.C., Maxine Sams of Iva, S.C., and Margaret Parnell of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; one brother, Bill Bryant of Spartanburg, S.C.; He was preceded in death by his wife, Claudia Bryant; and his parents, Osborne and Nettie Bryant. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 12, from graveside at Millville Cemetery with the Rev. Gary Robinson officiating. Interment will follow. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 p.m. today.
