Helen Marie Munnerlyn-Parker, of 745 Sanders Lane was laid to rest on June 11, 2001, at Garden of Memories next to her husband who preceded her, John Solomon Parker. She was born July 19, 1916, in New Albany, Ind., to James George Prentice and Catherine M. O'Neal. She is survived by her brother, Jimmy Prentice of Tampa; four children: Cathyleen Wood of Lakeland, Fla., Herbert Munnerlyn of Panama City, Carl Munnerlyn of Panama City and Patricia Kunz of High Springs, Fla.; 16 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. Eulogy was given by her great-grandson, Joshua L. Zinn of Panama City.

Sara Duncan Keebler, age 63, of Biloxi, Miss. Died Thursday, June 21, 2001. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 25, with graveside service at Biloxi Nation Cemetery. Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes Inc. of Biloxi is in charge of the arrangments.

Funeral Services for Ms. Catherine Nix who went peacefully home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 19, 2001, will be held at 10 a.m. today, June 22, 2001, at Hiland Park Baptist Church with the Pastor Don Pickerill officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any of the following: the Anchorage Children's Home, Council on Aging, Hiland Park Baptist Church Remodeling Fund; Panama City Rescue Mission, or the Hospice of Northwest Florida.

LESSIE MAE HORNE WINDHAM
Mrs. Lessie Mae Horne Windham, our beloved Mother and Grandmother, age 79, of Panama City, Fla., went to be with the Lord Tuesday, June 19, 2001, at St. Andrews Health and Rehab facility. She was a native of Bay County and had lived in Panama City most of her life. Mrs. Windham was a homemaker and had attended First Assembly of God Church. She is survived by her children: Franklin "Butch" Windham of Tallahassee, Fla., Kenneth Wayne Windham and his wife Suzanne of Panama City, Fla., Robert Lee Windham and his wife Debbie of Ocoee, Fla., and Diane Windham Beggs and her husband Truman of Panama City, Fla.; five grandchildren: Stephanie Lejean Dorriety and her husband Steve of DeFuniak Springs, Fla., Lucinda Rochelle McClendon and her husband Rick of Crawfordville, Fla., Tora Frances Gramlin and her husband Ray of Tallahassee, Fla., Kimberly Windham Hey and her husband Brian of Ocoee, Fla., Truman (Truby) Beggs of Panama City, Fla. and Geana Cutts of Panama City, Fla.; seven great-grandchildren: Katlyn Diane Dorriety, Brandon Dorriety, Kelsey Marie Hey, Faith Ann Hey, Rick McClendon, Miranda McClendon, and Christopher Gramlin; two sisters: Evelyn Harcus and her husband Murdic of White City, Fla., and Evie Lee Whittaker and her husband Luther of Grand Ridge, Fla.; a brother: J.W. Peterson of Panama City, Fla.; three nieces and four nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents: Daniel Webb and Tora Mae Peterson; her husband: Coy Lee Windham; a grandson: Todd Windham; and a brother: Carlus Peterson. Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, June 22, 2001, at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Phil Edwards officiating. Interment will follow at New Ponce deLeon Cemetery in Ponce deLeon, Fla. Asked to serve as active pallbearers are: Donnie Harcus, Donald Wade Harcus, Michael Hammond, Steve Dorriety, Brandon Dorriety, and Ron Glover. Honorary pallbearers will include: Dr. Thomas Derbes, Dr. Ernest Haslam, Dr. Thomas Mitchell, Dr. Vickie Harrell; and the staff at the St. Andrew Health And Rehab.

ALICE ANN GOULDAY
Alice Ann Goulday, 91, of Panama City, Fla., passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2001, in a local nursing home. Born March 9, 1910, she was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Ms. Alice, as she was known by her friends, had been a resident of Bay Convalescent Genesis Nursing Home since the early 1980s following a hip surgery. Alice moved here from Trenton, N.J. where she worked as a seamstress. During World War II she was employed by Switlik Parachute Co. of New Jersey, where she sewed parachutes for the military. She later worked for the Aberdeen Coats and Sportswear as a seamstress for special display models and samples sent to the various stores by the sales representatives. She was born the daughter of Henry Burrows Livis and Martha Ann Johnston. Her brother, Henry Burrows Jr. and two sisters, Sarah Elizabeth Ackerley and Kathryn Martha Cross Grau; her first husband, Joseph Francis Hallinger and her second husband James "Jem" Goulday, all preceded her in death. She is survived by six daughters, Jacqueline Bastecki and husband, Frank of Bayonet Point, Fla., Kathryn O'Hare and husband, Robert of Panama City, Lola Dabrowski and husband, Luke of Las Vegas, Nev., Sally Trentz and husband, Thomas of Waterloo, Ia., Joan Bingham Swann of Jacksonville, Fla. and Margaret Elizabeth Hallinger of Scranton, Pa.; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, June 24, 2001, from 5 to 7 p.m. Memorialization will be by cremation.

ARTHUR PHIL 'YANK' LANFORD
Mr. Arthur Phil "Yank" Lanford, 82, of Panama City, Fla., passed away Friday, June 22, 2001, at a local nursing facility. Mr. Lanford was born July 1, 1918, in Ninety Six, S.C., and came to Florida at the age of 10. He graduated from Vernon High School in Vernon, Fla., and in 1936, he went to the University of Florida for two years. Mr. Lanford worked at Heath Motor and Supply Co. until 1942. He then went into the U.S. Air Force from June, 1942, until December, 1945. He finished his years of service as a technical sergeant with the 20th Air Force 313 Wing 9th Bomb Group 99th Squadron. Mr. Lanford then worked for Auto Parts and Bearing Co. for 19 years. He was self-employed for 10 years, and retired as superintendent of the Vehicle Maintenance Department of Bay County. Mr. Lanford coached little league baseball for 18 years, midget football for six years, all in Panama City, and was a football official for 12 years. He was a member of St. Andrew Baptist Church. He joined the Acme Lodge No. 222 in 1954, and was a member of the 32 Degree of Scottish Rite, starting with Cecil Dickson, the Masonic Widows Fund in 1955. Mr. Lanford is survived by his wife, Alice Allen Lanford of Panama City; two sons, Phil Lanford and his wife, Janet of Port St. Joe and Brett Lanford and his wife, Stephanie of Panama City; two daughters, Alice Branch and her husband, Jimmy of Panama City and Jan Hannon and her husband, Jim of Atlanta; 14 grandchildren, Charlie Lanford and Julie Lanford of Port St. Joe, Alicia Branch, Allan Branch, Lauren Branch, Lacy Branch and John Branch, all of Panama City, Blaire Hannon and Darcy Hannon of Atlanta, Brittany Lanford, Amy Lanford, Danielle Lanford, Noah Lanford and Cassidy Lanford, all of Panama City; one brother, L.W. Lanford of Lynn Haven; and a special family friend, Maureen Austin of Panama City. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, June 25, 2001, at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ken Solomon and the Rev. Dennis Pledger officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Asked to serve as active pallbearers are: Greg Brudnicki, Matthew Brudnicki, Jeff Brudnicki, David Johnson, Bill Allen, Jody Brookins, Richard Ogburn and Al Harris. Honorary pallbearers will include all the former baseball and football players that Yank coached; all members of Acme Lodge No. 222; members of Adult I coed Sunday school class of St. Andrew Baptist Church; Adam Brudnicki, Ben Brudnicki, Doyle Kirkland, Wallace Decker, Mitchell Holman, Mark Holman, Terry Parker, Joe Tucker, Dr. Victor Ortega, Dr. Michael McCormick, Dr. Neal Dunn, Dr. Rodney Morris, Dr. Sylvia Thomas and Dr. Pete Windham. The family will receive friends at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home on Sunday, June 24, from 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Rescue Mission or to the St. Andrew Baptist Church Building Fund.

THOMAS E. 'GENE' LEE
Thomas E. "Gene" Lee, 56, of St. Joe Beach, passed away Thursday, June 21, 2001, at his home following a brief illness. He was raised in Franklin County and later moved to Gulf County where he has been a resident for the past 33 years. He worked for the St. Joe Paper Company and later Florida Coast Paper as an assistant turbine room operator. Mr. Lee served in the Army during the Vietname War and was a wounded combat veteran with a Purple Heart citation. He was a protestant by faith, and also was a 32 Degree Mason and a Shriner. He is survived by his wife, Nadine Lee; two sons, Tony Lee and wife, Barbara, and Kevin Lee and wife, Jessica; two grandchildren, Georgia Lee and Hannah Lee, all of St. Joe Beach; three brothers, O.B. Lee, Jr. of Apalachicola, Ed Lee of Mexico Beach, and Oscar Lee of Carrabelle; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Sunday, June 24, at the Senior Citizens Center at 3 p.m. EDT, with the Rev. David Fernandez officiating. Those that wish may make a donation to their favorite charity.

IRENE REGINA WIEDIGER
Mrs. Irene Regina Wiediger, 82, of Sunny Hills, Fla., passed away Thursday, June 21, 2001, at a local hospital. She has been a resident of the area since 1972, coming here from Utica, NY. Mrs. Wiediger was a member of St. Teresa's Catholic Church in Sunny Hills. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth E. Wiediger of Sunny Hills, Fla.; a son, John Wiediger and his wife, Cheryl of Ottsville, Pa.; a daughter, Judy Schrum and her husband, Greg of Harrisburg, Pa.; a sister, Veronica Pinkos of Utica, N.Y.; grandsons, Peter Schrum and Mark Schrum, both of Harrisburg, Pa., and Eric Wiediger of Ottsville, Pa.; a granddaughter, Debra Wiediger of Ottsville, Pa; and a great-granddaughter. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 24, 2001, at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Father Ben Ferens officiating. BARBARA WILLIAMS SOUTH
Barbara Williams South, 64, of Columbus, Ga., died Thursday, June 14, 2001, at Phenix Regional Hospital, Phenix City, Ala. Funeral Services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, June 18, 2001, at St. Thomas Episcopal Church with Father Douglas Hahn officiating. Interment was in Parkhill Cemetery. Mrs. South was born Aug. 12, 1936, in Mobile, Ala., the daughter of Dell Neese Sellers and the late Jake Sellers. She had lived in Columbus for the past 40 years and was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church. Mrs. South was a member of the Gracious Ladies of Georgia, Orchid Society, Junior League, and the Green Island Country Club Bridge Club. She was also past Junior Warden of St. Thomas Episcopal Church Vestry, past Secretary of Business and Professional Women's Association, and past sponsor of Student Allied Officer's program. Mrs. South was also a volunteer with the Chattahoochee Valley Episcopal Ministry and a homemaker. Survivors other than her mother include her husband of more than 30 years, William South of Smiths, Ala.; two sons, Jeff South of Atlanta and Greg Jones of Plano, Texas; four stepchildren, Daphne Brown of Atlanta, Phyllis Noland of Harris County, Ga., Mary Santaliz of Columbus, Ga., and Cynthia Griffin of Atlanta; two grandchildren, Christopher Jones and Kenny Jones both of Plano, Texas, numerous stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren; and an aunt, Mrs. Jack Neese of Panama City.
