Funeral services for Ms. Frances Doris Padgett, age 92, of Panama City, Fla., who died Wednesday, July 4, 2001, will be held at 4:30 p.m. today, July 7, 2001 at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Lewis Miller officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home an hour prior to service time. Graveside funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. EDT Sunday, July 8, 2001, at Palmetto Cemetery in Brunswick, Ga., with the Rev. Darrell Joiner officiating. Interment will follow.

RUTH EVELYN REVELL
Mrs. Ruth Evelyn Revell, 84, of Panama City, Fla., died Thursday, July 5, 2001, in a local nursing home. Born in Union, Fla., she was the office manager for Wiggins Auto Parts until her retirement. Visitation will be held all day today and Sunday at the funeral home.

EVELYN PEACHEY ROBERTS
Evelyn Peachey Roberts, age 87, of Bonifay, Fla., passed away Friday, July 6, 2001. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 8, at 2 p.m., at the First United Methodist Church in Bonifay, with burial following in Caryville City Cemetery in Caryville, Fla. The Rev. Larry Anderson will be officiating. Visitation will be held today, July 7, from 6 to 8 p.m. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, John L. Roberts. She is survived by two sons, Johnny L. "Buddy" Roberts of Atlanta and Bruce Roberts of Pensacola; daughters, Bonnie Kay and husband, Willard Powell and Verna Roberts all of Bonifay; brother, Carl Frey of Lebanon, Ill.; grandson, Chris Powell and wife, Shelia of Bonifay; great-granddaughters, Hannah and Hailee Powell and god children, Brandi and Tyler Toole.

KATHY BUTCHER TAUNTON
Kathy Butcher Taunton, born on June 8, 1955, to Ruth and Nobal Ellsworth Butcher, died suddenly on July 5, 2001, in New Port, N.C. Her father preceded Kathy in death in 1986. She is survived by her loving husband, Leland Taunton; a daughter, Kimberly Taunton; four stepchildren, Shelia, Melissa, Chris, and Gary Taunton; her mother, Ruth Ann Buther of Xenia, Ohio; four sisters, Linda Chocola, Westerville, Ohio, Debbie DiaNeima of Columbus, Ohio, and Connie Nobles of Xenia, Ohio, and Pamela Fry of St. Regis, Mont., and many aunts, uncles, nephews, and nieces. A sister in-law, Marian Taunton-Unger, and two brothers in-law, Mike Taunton and Asa Taunton, also survive Kathy. Kathy was loved by many. She will be dearly missed. Though taken from us so soon, we all feel at peace knowing that she lived a happy and fulfilling life. The spirit of her humor and overwhelming tenderness will be with us always. Viewing will be held on Monday, July 9, 2001, at the McColaught Funeral Home in Xenia, Ohio. Services will be held on Tuesday, July 10, 2001. ALEXANDER ALBERT THIBEAULT
Alexander Albert Thibeault, 71, of 13522 Shell Lane, Southport, died Thursday, July 5, 2001, in his home. He had been a resident of Bay County since 1973. He was a master sergeant in the U.S. Air Force, retiring in 1971 after 23 years of service. He is survived by three daughters, Michele Dillard, Pamela Peeples, Cheryl Ludwig, all of Panama City; seven grandchildren; and two sisters, Doris Quirk of New Bedford, Mass., Jeanne St. Peters of Marston Mills, Mass. Graveside funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Fort Barrancas National Cemetery, Pensacola, with full military honors conducted at the service. Those desiring to may make a contribution to Hospice of the Emerald Coast in memory of Alexander Thibeault.

Funeral services for Mr. Foy D. Watford of Panama City Beach, Fla., will be held today, July 7, at 11 a.m. in Gulfview United Methodist Church with the Rev. Si Mathison officiating. JANET KATHERINE WEHLING
Janet Katherine Wehling, 39, of Panama City, Fla., passed away on May 18, 2001. She was born on Oct 25, 1961, and was the beloved daughter of Harry and Joanne Wehling, Sister Bay, Wis. Janet is survived by her parents; a brother, John (Linda) Wehling; her beloved companion, Dane Lutz; and special friends, Valerie Lutz and Diane Pospisil. Other survivors include a niece, several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends in Door County, Wis., and Panama City. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on July 12 at St. John's Catholic Church in Panama City.

DEMPSEY JAMES LOUIS BARRON
Dempsey James Louis Barron, state senator, lawyer and cattle rancher, died at home on Saturday, July 7, 2001 at 4:23 a.m. Senator Barron was born in Rose Hill, Alabama on March 5, 1922. He moved to Panama City with his family at the age of two. He was a member of the Civilian Conservation Corps and served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific and European theatres in World War II. He was aboard the USS Chicago when it was sunk. Senator Barron graduated from Florida State University and the University of Florida College of Law and returned to Panama City to practice law. He owned several local motels and the D-Bar Ranch in Caryville, Florida. He was elected to the Florida House of Representatives in 1956 and 1958. He was elected to the Florida Senate in 1960 and served until 1988. He was the 69th President of the Florida Senate (1974-1976), President Pro-Tempore (1966-1968), Rules Chairman for five Senate Presidents and Chairman of the Senate Reapportionment Committee (1980-1982). Public viewing will be at the Bevis Funeral Home in Tallahassee this evening from 4 to 6 p.m. and at the Florida State University Conference Center in Panama City on Monday, July 9, from noon until 4 p.m., CDT. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., CST at the Conference Center. A memorial service and celebration will be held on Tuesday, July 10th at 2 p.m., CDT at the Amy Tapper Auditorium at Gulf Coast Community College in Panama City. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contributions may be made to the Big Bend Hospice Foundation, 1723 Mahan Center Boulevard, Tallahassee, FL 32308 or the Florida State University Foundation, 225 University Center, Building C, Suite 3100, Tallahassee, FL 32306. Senator Barron was preceded in death by his son, Stephen Barron. He is survived by his wife, Terri Jo Barron of Tallahassee; his son, Stuart Barron of Panama City, his grand-daughter, Shannon Barron of Quincy; two sisters, Hazel Boggs of Lynn Haven and Glindel Lopez of Alexandria, Va.; two brothers, Douglas Barron of Pensacola and Darrell Barron of Panama City; 11 nieces and nephews, three grand-nieces and four grand-nephews. MRS. JIMMIE LEE CREWS
Mrs. Jimmie Lee Crews, 82, of Panama City died Monday, July 2, 2001, in a local nursing center. On Monday July 2, God called home one of his choice roses. He plucked one of his most prized possessions, Mrs. Jimmie Lee Crews. Mrs. Crews was born to the late Willie Bell Troupe and Jim Andrews Troupe on Feb. 27, 1919, in Hilton, Ga. She leaves to mourn her memories a devoted and loving husband, Mr. Gilbert Crews; one daughter, Berndell Hart; a god-daughter, Pearline Jones; one sister, Shirley Smith; two brothers, Jessie Troupe of Miami and Reason (Carol) Troupe of Panama City; four grandchildren, Donald (Lois) Hart, Dexter Hart, Joseph Hart and Jefferey (Lavinia) Hart all of Camden, N.J.; thirteen great-grandchildren, one great- great- grandchild; one aunt, Clara Mae Eutsey; one uncle, Ulysee (Liz) Hunter and a host of family and friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Crews will be held on Monday, July 9 at 1 p.m. in Zion Hope Baptist Church with the Rev. Frank Jones, officiating. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery. Public visitation will begin today from 1 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The remains will lie in state one hour prior to services at the church.

Funeral services for Ann Croley of Lynn Haven, who passed away Thursday, July 5, 2001, in a local hospital, will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in the First United Methodist Church of Lynn Haven with the Rev. Doug Pennington officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. today. Those desiring to may make contributions to First United Methodist Church of Lynn Haven, Hospice of Northwest Florida, or Bay Medical Auxiliary in memory of Ann Croley. Active pallbearers will be her grandsons, Brad Miller, Ben Miller, Aaron Stephens, and her friends, Grafton Sharp, Frank Scott, Carl Gaddis. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Bay Medical Center Auxiliary, the Friendship Sunday School Class and the Blue Circle of the First United Methodist Church of Lynn Haven.

Barbara Kinsey, 84, of Panama City, died Thursday, July 5, 2001, in Panama City. She was a lifelong resident of Bay County, a homemaker and a loving mother who will be dearly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Kinsey Sr. Mrs. Kinsey is survived by two sons, John A. Kinsey Jr., and his wife, Marti Moore Kinsey of Kansas City, Mo., and Duane Bishop and friend, Vicki Patrick of Panama City; three daughters, Mavis Anderson and husband, Wayne of Panama City, Sue Welch and husband, Mike of Bartow, Fla., and Debbie Bishop and fiance, Jim Rittenour of Panama City; a brother, James Oscar Burlison Jr. and wife, Lola; grandchildren, David and Sheila Anderson, Kathy and Kevin Elliott, Beth and Bob Hale, Shanon and Gary Warburton, Lori and Steve Udy, Brandy Griffin and Aaron Kinsey; and 13 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. today, July 8, 2001, from the Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. J.E. Hodges officiating, Yorkshire Cremation and Casket Society directing. QUINCY H. MARLOW
Mr. Quincy Herbert Marlow, 70, of Panama City, passed away Saturday, July 7, 2001, at a local health center. Mr. Marlow was born in Black, Ala., on July 4, 1931, and was a long time resident of Bay County. He was in aviation with the United States Navy, where he served in the Korean Conflict and the Vietname War and was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Pensacola. Mr. Marlow was preceded in death by his wife, Madie McClenny Marlow. He survived by two sons, Mike Marlow of Panama City and Mitchell Marlow of Atlanta, Ga.; two sisters, Susan Wertz of Panama City and Lydia Bradley and husband, Pat of Pensacola; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Monday July 9, 2001, at 2 p.m. in the Southerland Family Funeral Home Chapel. Internment will follow at Greenwood cemetery with Naval military Honors. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this evening from 6 to 8 p.m.
