Lillie Hall, born to Thomas Jefferson Morris Jr. and Catherine Gelene Morris on Aug. 4, 1907, in Repton, Ala., Conecuh County, went to be with the rest of the angels in Heaven, on Friday, July 6, 2001, in Panama City, Fla. She had been a resident of Panama City for the past 20 years, working in her daughter's restaurant, Rizzuto's Pizza, and was known as Granny to everyone. Prior to her coming to Panama City, she had worked for the Alabama Forestry Department for 20 years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 20 years, Riley B. Hall, her parents and six siblings. She is survived by two daughters, Irene Rizzuto and her husband, James, Virginia Yliniemi and her husband, Ronnie; son, Tommy E. Hall and friend, Angie Bell of Bay Minette, Ala.; brother, Earl Morris of Excel, Ala.; sisters, Donie Mothershed of Foley, Ala., Eulene Smith of Monroeville, Ala., 13 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Norris Funeral Home Chapel, Bay Minette, Ala., with Dr. Henry Cox officiating. Interment followed in the Bay Minette Cemetery.

JOHN HENRY LITTLETON
Mr. John Henry Littleton, 51, of Port St. Joe, passed away Sunday, July 8, 2001, as the result of injuries from once again working on his home. John was a Merchant Marine for 28 years. He had lived in Port St. Joe since 1979, and was a member of St. James Episcopal Church. John was a wonderful husband, outstanding father, a very special friend, and will be remembered by many for his wonderful sense of humor. He was preceded in death by his father, Rex Littleton. Survivors include his wife, Linda Lila Littleton; two sons, Samuel A. Littleton and Ethan E. Littleton; his mother, Marie Littleton, all of Port St. Joe; one brother, Maury H. Littleton of Overstreet; and two nieces and one nephew. A memorial service will be held Thursday, July 12, at 11 a.m. EDT at St. James Episcopal Church, conducted by the Rev. Father Jerry Huft. Those that wish may make donations to St. James Episcopal Memorial Fund.

HELEN BELLINGHIERI
Helen Bellinghieri, 86, of Panama City Beach, Fla., died Saturday, July 7, 2001, at Bay Medical Center in Panama City, Fla. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. today at St. Anne's Catholic Church Chapel, with the Rev. Father Timothy Donahue officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Mitchell National Cemetery, Fort Mitchell, Ala., according to McMullen Funeral Home, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus, Ga. Mrs. Bellingrieri was born May 28, 1915, in Buffalo, N.Y., the daughter of the late Valenty Lasota and Kathry Lasota. She was a retired salesperson for Hens and Kelly Department Store in Buffalo. Mrs Bellinghieri was a member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church. Survivors include her husband, Antonio Bellinghieri of Panama City Beach; two daughters, Gloria Ruzeski and son-in-law Gary of Columbus, and Paula Testa and son Guy of Tampa; two grandchildren, Mark Ruzeski of Columbus and Missy Behar and husband Aaron of Columbus, and great-granddaughter Jessica Behar.

BILLY GENE HARPER
Mr. Billy Gene Harper, 71, passed away Monday, July 9, 2001, at his home in White City, Fla. He was born Sept. 27, 1929, in Meridian, Miss. He was an active member of White City Baptist Church for 47 years where he served as a deacon. Mr. Harper was retired from St. Joe Paper Company where he worked for 39 years. He was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Eloise Ogle Harper; and son, Ricky Allen Harper. Survivors include his wife of four years, Aileen Helms Harper; one son, Billy Glenn Harper and wife Ann of Meridian, Miss.; two daughters, Sheila Tison and husband Glen of Panama City, and Kari Summers and husband Ricky of White City; six grandchildren, Monica Feliciano, Billy Gene Harper II, Bethany Haisten, Katie Beth Tison, Hannah Beth Tison, and Ginny Beth Tison; two great-grandchildren, Nikolas Feliciano, and Hunter Harper; three brothers, Paul Harper, Raymond Harper, and Bob Harper; one sister, Catherine Crell all of Meridian, Miss.; and a host of nieces and nephews; two stepsons and their families, Doug Helms and wife Shawn of Panama City, and Chris Helms and wife Laurel of Wewahitchka. Asked to serve as pallbearers are Walter Graham, Murray Smith, Michael Hammond, Doug Helms, Harry Lee Smith and Roy V. Harper. Honorary pallbearers are deacons of White City Baptist Church. A celebration of his life will be held at 2 p.m. EDT on Thursday, July 12, at White City Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Nick Davis and Hack McMullen. Interment will follow in Jehu Cemetery. Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. EDT at the church. The family will receive friends at the home of Kari Summers, 277 Stebel Ave., White City.

Mrs. Mary Clifford Cox, 81, lifelong resident of this area, passed away Tuesday afternoon, July 10, 2001, in a Chipley nursing home. Her husband, Curtis Cox, and one great-grandchild, precede her in death. Mrs. Cox is survived by four children, Ruth Toole and husband Cleatus of Graceville, Fla., Johnny Cox and wife Janice of Panama City, Jack Cox and wife Stephanie of Southport, and James Cox and wife Maudry of West Bay, Fla.; one brother, James L. Marshall and wife Pansey of Lynn Haven; 16 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, July 12 at 10 a.m. in Southerland Family Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Lynn Haven Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this evening from 5 to 7 p.m.

FENDORA BATCHELOR
Mrs. Fendora Batchelor, 80, of Panama City, Fla., died Monday, July 9, 2001, in a local hospital. Born in Alabama, she bad been a resident of this area for 51 years. She was a retired school teacher from the Bay County School Board. She taught at Oakland Terrace and Northside elementary schools. Her husband of over 40 years, Q.D. Batchelor, preceded her in death. Mrs. Batchelor is survived by one son, Ray Batchelor; one daughter, Joy Batchelor, both of Atlanta; grandchildren Courtney, Christopher and Cole. Funeral services will be conducted today, July 11, at 11 a.m. in St. Andrews Methodist Church with the Rev. Ed Britton officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Andrews Methodist Church for the new Children's Wing, in memory of Mrs. Batchelor.

Mr. Jack T. McKenzie, 84, of 803 Frank Nelson Drive, died Wednesday, July 4, 2001, at his home. He was born to the late Robert and Vassie McKenzie on Aug. 13, 1916. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Dorothy McKenzie-Pinkard. He is survivied by his wife, Mrs. Barnette McKenzie; one daughter, Barbara (Harry) McKenzie-Wells; three sons, Thomas McKenzie, Alonzo McKenzie, Pittsburgh, Pa.; Ahmad Nakeem (Adell) Jihad, Panama City, Fla.; one sister, Claudia Forrester, Dothan, Ala; five granddaughters, Michelle (Carlos) King, Vanessa Bowdry, Tracy McKenzie, Andrea Lewis, Kenya McKenzie, Panama City; three grandsons, Clarence Pinkard Jr., Xavier McKenzie, Donrico Lewis, Panama City; 11 great-grandchildren, Anthony, Fabrice, Carlos, Keyawna, Nicholas, Javonte, Derrick, Derius, Tracey, Dondrea, Donrico; one goddaughter, Eunice Sims-Weaver; special friends, Buddy Pinkard and a host of other friends and family. Nelle Garrett Summerford, 89, of 1410 Airport Road, Panama City, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 8, 2001, in her home. She was born April 30, 1912, in Butler, Ga., to Eugene and Mattie Garrett. She had been a resident of Panama City since 1941, moving here from Bainbridge, Ga. She was one of the charter members of the Forest Park United Methodist Church. She was a 50-year member of the Panama City Woman's Club where she served as past president. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Foy Summerford and a son, Harold Wayne Summerford. She is survived by a daughter, Mary Ellen Cooper and her husband, John Henry of Panama City, two granddaughters, Gloria Cooper Dykes and husband Sid of Panama City, Jan Summerford Williams and husband Ben of Woodstock, Ga., sister Lura Hogg of Americus, Ga., five great-grandchildren, George McClintock Jr. and wife Amanda of Birmingham, Ala., John McClintock of Atlanta, Emily McClintock, Laura McClintock, both of Dothan, Ala., Morgan Williams of Woodstock, special nephew Wayne Garrett and his wife Nancy, sister-in-law Pearle Garrett, all of Panama City, special caregiver, Polly Ann Mitchell, caregivers Linda Hall, Romona Odom, Deloris Fisher, and several other nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held today at 10 a.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Kenneth Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery. Alan Leo Gholson, 63, of 1710 W. 12th St., Panama City, died Tuesday, July 10, 2001, in his home. He was a lab technician with Arizona Chemical retiring in February 2000 after 34 years of service. He had been a resident of Panama City for 40 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Panama City and the LLL Sunday School Class. He is survived by his wife, Linda Gardner Gholson of Panama City; two daughters, Robin Louise Arnett and her husband Michael of Raleigh, N.C., Melissa Ann Johnson and her husband Derek of Birmingham, Ala.; six grandchildren, Gabrielle Louise Arnett, Kevin Michael Arnett, Kylie Grace Johnson, Denalyn Faith Johnson, Lydia Hope Johnson, Atticus Paul Johnson, brother, Dan C. Gholson of Cedar Rapids, and a sister-in-law, Nancy Jegart of Tallahassee, Fla. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. the Dan Hudson and the Rev. Bruce Raley officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. today. Mr. Urben Roscoe Marbut, age 85, of Anniston, Ala,, died Tuesday, July 10, 2001, at a local nursing facility. He was the owner of Urby's Old Hickory Drive-In on Noble Street in Anniston, Ala., for 42 years. Mr. Marbut is survived by his wife, Ernestine Rush Marbut of Panama City; a daughter, Becky Marbut West and her husband Bobby of Panama City; a son, George Marbut of Anniston, Ala.; two grandsons, Robby West and Marty West, both of Panama City; and two great-grandchildren, Kyle and Kaitlynn West of Panama City. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, July 12, at Gray Brown Service Funeral Home Chapel in Anniston. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Gardens, also in Anniston. BILLY JOE 'PETE' MOSELEY SR
Mr. Billy Joe "Pete" Moseley Sr., age 67, of 2713 Altha Ave., in Panama City, Fla., died Sunday, July 8, 2001, at his home. He had been a resident of the area since 1949, coming here from Mobile, Ala. Mr. Moseley attended First United Pentecostal Church and was a member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local No. 229. He loved to build race cars and to ride the back roads. Mr. Moseley was the founder of the Moseley Racing Team. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Rebecca Ruth Moseley of Panama City, Fla.; his children, Billy Joe Moseley Jr. and his girlfriend Bonnie Withart of Callaway, Corbitt Moseley and his wife Robin of Youngstown, Rhonda Barron and her husband Donnie of Callaway, David Moseley and his wife Tayne of Springfield, Greg Moseley of Youngstown, Clinton Moseley of Springfield, Todd Moseley and his wife Lisa, Clifton Moseley and his girlfriend Brandy, and Robin Moseley, all of Youngstown; 16 grandchildren, Geoffrey Moseley, Jerry Moseley, Jennifer Moseley, Chris Sanders, Michael Moseley, Bryan Moseley, Ashley Moseley, Donald Lemasters Jr. Matthew Lemasters, Joseph Lemasters, Michael David Moseley, Pamela Moseley, Nikki Moseley, Jeremy Moseley, David Edward Moseley, Heather Cook Moseley, and Alissa Cook Moseley; and nine great-grandchildren, Shawna Moseley, Misty Moseley, Austin Moseley, Jacob Beatly, Nathaniel Sanders, Coty Sanders, Kristen McConnell, McKenzi Moseley and Stephanie.
