Mrs. Lillian Bailey, age 77, of 5821 S. Lagoon Drive, Panama City Beach, Fla., died Monday, July 9, 2001, at a local hospital. She had been a resident of the area since 1997, coming here from Snellville, Ga., and was Baptist by faith. Mrs. Bailey is survived by three sisters, Ruth Teague and Virginia McKenzie, both of Panama City Beach, and Edith Powell of Jonesboro, Ga.; a stepdaughter, Janet Alday of Cartersville, Ga.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. EDT, Thursday, July 12, at Sugar Hill Cemetery in Sugar Hill, Ga., with the Rev. Joel Teague officiating. Interment will follow. The family will receive friends at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home, today., July 11, from 6 to 8 p.m.

CHARLES SEYMOUR SMITH
Mr. Charles Seymour Smith, age 85, of 1533 Oak Ave., Panama City, Fla., died Tuesday, July 10, 2001, at a local nursing facility. He had been a resident of the area since 1997, moving here from Michigan and was Protestant by faith. Mr. Smith loved to fish, golf and travel. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Dorothy Smith of Panama City, Fla.; a son, Richard Smith and his wife Marian of Royal Oak, Mich.; a daughter, Claudia O'Leary and her husband Ron of Stanwood, Mich.; five grandchildren, Michael O'Leary, Brian O'Leary, Scott O'Leary, Eric Smith, and Kelly Smith; and three great-grandchildren, Abby O'Leary, Connor O'Leary and Erin O'Leary. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 13, 2001, at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Floyd Wright officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.

BILLY GENE HARPER
Mr. Billy Gene Harper, 71, passed away Monday, July 9, 2001, at his home in White City, Fla. He was born Sept. 27, 1929, in Meridian, Miss. He was an active member of the White City Baptist Church for 47 years where he served as a deacon. Mr. Harper was retired from St. Joe Paper Company where he worked for 39 years. He was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Eloise Ogle Harper and son Ricky Allen Harper. Survivors include his wife of four years, Aileen Helms Harper; one son, Billy Glenn Harper and wife Ann of Meridian, Miss.; two daughters, Sheila Tison and husband Glen of Panama City, and Kari Summers and husband Ricky of White City; six grandchildren, Monica Feliciano, Billy Gene Harper II, Bethany Haisten, Katie Beth Tison, Hannah Beth Tison and Ginny Beth Tison; two great-grandchildren, Nikolas Feliciano and Hunter Harper; three brothers, Paul Harper, Raymond Harper and Bob Harper; one sister, Catherine Crell all of Meridian, Miss.; and a host of nieces and nephews; two stepsons and their families, Doug Helms and wife Shawn of Panama City, and Chris Helms and wife Laurel of Wewahitchka. Asked to serve as pallbearers are Walter Graham, Murray Smith, Michael Hammond, Doug Helms, Harry Lee Smith and Roy V. Harper. Honorary pallbearers are deacons of White City Baptist Church. A celebration of his life will be held at 2 p.m. EDT today, July 12, 2001, at White City Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Nick Davis and Hack McMullen. Interment will follow in Jehu Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the home of Kari Summers, 277 Stebel Ave., White City.

JACK T. 'THE CAT' McKENZIE
Mr. Jack T. McKenzie, 84, of 803 Frank Nelson Drive died Wednesday, July 4, 2001, at his home. Funeral services for Mr. McKenzie will be held today, July 12, at 3 p.m. in Battle Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop Lonnie Mitchell, officiating. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery.

Hugo Blair, age 55, of Fountain, Fla., passed away Monday, July 9, 2001, at his home. Funeral services are incomplete at this time.

Mrs. Ruth T. Stevens, R.N., age 94, was born on Nov. 15, 1906, in Kershaw County, S.C. She passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2001, after an extended illness. Mrs. Stevens was active as a registered nurse for 42 years and was in training for her career for three years. She was twice widowed, by John A. Thorne of Kershaw County, S.C., and Orin M. Stevens of Rock Hill, S.C. Mrs. Stevens was preceded in death by her parents, Nathanial B. Welsh and Ellen Knight Welsh; her brothers; and a sister. She is survived by a sister, Mae Catoe of Lancaster, S.C.; three children, John M. Thorne and his wife Odie of Jacksonville, Fla., Betty Adams, formerly of Parker, Fla., and Edith Cox and her husband William J. of Kathleen, Ga.; six grandchildren, John M. Thorne Jr. of Beaumont, Texas, Kenneth Thorne of Gainesville, Fla., James T. Turner of Panama City, Fla., Walter (Robert) Adams of Panama City, Fla., William J. Cox II of Kathleen Ga., and Mark S. Adams of Bruce, Fla.; eight great-grandchildren, Erin Thorne of Gainesville, Fla., James C. Turner of S.C., Jason Cox of Panama City, Fla., William J. Cox III of Kathleen, Ga., Dana Adams Bauer of Navarre, Fla., Katie Adams of Panama City, Fla., Walter (Robbie) Adams III of Panama City, Fla., Mark (Steven) Adams II of Bruce, Fla., and Tyler Lee Adams of Bruce, Fla. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, July 13, 2001, at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Walter Cathey officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be the great-grandchildren. Honorary pallbearers will include the grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today, July 12, 2001, from 6 until 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Panama City for The Building Fund. ROSE HELEN INFINGER
Mrs. Rose Helen Infinger, 77, of 2927 E. 14th Court Panama City, Fla., died Wednesday, July 11, 2001, at her residence. Born in Herrin, Ill., she moved here in 1954 from Jacksonville, Fla. She was retired from the Bay District Schools after 23 years of service. She was also a member of St. Dominic's Catholic Church. Her husband, Skyles Infinger, precedes her in death. Mrs. Infinger is survived by 10 children, Skyles Infinger and wife Joni of Marimac, Mass., Cary Infinger, Brian Infinger and wife Melinda, Barry Infinger and wife Patti, Dennis Infinger, Darlene Brown all of Panama City, Fla., Chris Infinger and wife Sherri of Lynn Haven, Fla., Kevin Infinger and wife Paula of Wewahitchka, Fla., Karen Brown and husband Bart of New Orleans, La., and Patricia Collins and husband Ed of Pensacola, Fla.; one sister, Louise Reynolds and husband Don of Sacramento, Calif., 19 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, July 13, 2001, at 3 p.m. in the Southerland Family Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Lynn Haven Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this evening from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Emerald Coast Hospice in memory of Mrs. Infinger.

MARY C. COX
Mrs. Mary Clifford Cox, 81, of Burnt Mill Creek in Bay County, went to be with Jesus, Tuesday afternoon, July 10, 2001. She died peacefully surrounded by her family and friends in the Washington County Convalescent Center in Chipley. Mary was a lifelong resident of Bay County and a member of the West Bay Community Church for over 40 years. She was alsoa member of First Baptist Church of Campbellton for the last six years. She was a loving mother and grandmother, a humble servant of our Lord Jesus and was loved by all who knew her. She worked hard all of her life and loved growing flowers and plants, visiting the mountains and building houses. Her husband, Curtis Cox, her parents, Benjamin and Rosa Marshall and one great-grandchild, precede her in death. Mrs. Cox is survived by one daughter, Ruth Toole and husband Cleatus of Graceville, Fla.; three sons, Johnny Cox and wife Janice of Panama City, Fla., Jack Cox and wife Stephanie of Southport, Fla., and James Cox and wife Maudry of West Bay, Fla.; one brother, James L. Marshall and wife Pansey of Lynn Haven, Fla.; 16 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Cox's grandsons will serve as pallbearers: Wendell Cox, Steve Cox, Richard Toole, Chris Franklin, Jason Franklin and Tim Parker. Funeral services will be held today, July 12, 2001 at 10 a.m. in the Southerland Family Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Leon Jenkins officiating. Interment will follow in Lynn Haven Cemetery.

Funeral services for Alan Leo Gholson, 63, of 1710 W. 12th St., Panama City, who died Tuesday, July 10, 2001, in his home, will be held at 2 p.m. today in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dan Hudson and the Rev. Bruce Raley officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Those desiring to may make a contribution to the Building Fund of the First Baptist Church of Panama City in memory of Alan Gholson. Active pallbearers are Paul Digsby, Rodney Armaghost, George McCormick, Bobby Harris, Al Harris, Robert Harris, Dee Robertson and Johnny Forehand. Honorary pallbearers are Jack Goldman, members of the LLL Sunday School Class, and past and present employees of Arizona Chemical Company.

Nora Charlene Lamb passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by her loving family, July 11, 2001. She is survived by her husband Dave; mother, Jessie; brothers, Doug and wife Roberta and John; her children, Holly and Bill and wife Michele; her stepchildren, Suzi and Grant; grandchildren, Ben, Justin, Brandon, and Chantal; niece, Kristy and nephew, Stewart; her in-law family, Joan, Rhonda, and Betty and her many loving friends. There will be a farewell celebration for Charlene at Good Time Charlies today, July 12, 2001, from 1 to 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of N.W. Hugo Blair, 55, of 12014 Nandina St., Fountain, died Monday, July 9, 2001 in his home. He was a lifelong resident of Fountain and was a retired welder. He is survived by his wife, Eleanor Blair, four children, Patricia Boyland, Chrell Green, Wanda Davis, Hugo Mark Blair Jr., April Diane Blair, eight siblings, Patricia Hutcheson, James Blair, Sara Hall, Alan Blair, Louis Davis, Betty Roese, Bill Blair, Mike Blair, 11 grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held today at 2 p.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Terrell Nelson officiating. Interment will follow in the Fountain Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 to 2 p.m. today. In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses. EMMETT REEDER
Mr. Emmett Reeder, age 85, of Bonifay, Fla., passed away July 11, 2001 at Flowers Hospital in Dothan, Ala. Mr. Reeder was a native of Calhoun County and had lived in Bonifay for several years. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and earned the Purple Heart. He worked as a policeman in Blountstown and with the Florida Game & Wildlife Commission, He retired from the Florida Highway Patrol after 25 years of service. He was a member of Gully Springs Baptist Church and Bethlehem Masonic Lodge in Bonifay. Mr. Reeder was preceded in death by a son Terry; his parents, Dr. B.B. and Clara Reeder; a sister, Annie B, Clark and three brothers: Robert, W.C. and Buell Reeder. Survivors include his wife, Winona Reeder of Bonifay; two sisters, Lucille Davis of Panama City, Lavaughn Brodgon of Panama City; one sister-in-law, Estelle Reeder of Clarksville; numerous nieces and nephews also survive him. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 14 at 3 p.m. (CDT) at Peavy Funeral Home Chapel in Blountstown with the Rev. Jesse Reeder and the Rev. Carl Hadley officiating. Interment will follow in Clarksville Cemetery, Clarksville, Fla., with Msaonic Rites held at the graveside. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. (CDT) this evening, July 13 at Peavy Funeral Home.
