Mr. James Horace Posey, 85, of Panama City, Fla., went home to be with the Lord on July 23, 2001. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. today, July 26, at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Joe Cummings and the the Rev. Al Rowell officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Asked to serve as active pallbearers are Jason Posey, Mark Parnell, Johnny Jackson, Shane Roby, Charlie Yobn, Charlie Yohn Jr., Jimmy Yohn and Jerry Chalker. Honorary pallbearers will include Wesley Bible Class of First United Methodist Church and Marquis Home Health Care.

EVELYN R. MUTH
Mrs. Evelyn R. Muth, 78, of Panama City Beach, Fla., died Monday, July 23, 2001 in a local nursing home. Born in Morgantown, W.Va., she moved here in 1993 from Ohio. Mrs. Muth is survived by one son, Nicholas Vitale and wife Diane of Vermillion, Ohio; two stepsons, Charles and Ron Muth; one stepdaughter, Helen Sanders; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, July 27, at 10 a.m. in Southerland Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this evening from 5 to 7 p.m.

PAMELA WHITLEY ALEXANDER
Pamela Whitley Alexander, 40, of Port St. Joe, passed away on Monday, July 23, 2001, at Gulf Pines Hospital. She was born on Sept. 2, 1960, in Port St. Joe to John and the late Oneida Whitley. She graduated from Port St. Joe High School in 1979, and she attended Gulf Coast Community College where she received a certificate in correctional standards. She was employed with Gulf Correctional Institution located in Wewahitchka, Fla. She is survived by a loving husband, Willie J. Alexander; a precious daughter, Khadljah Alexander; a loving and devoted father, John Whitley; four sisters, Lynn (Raymond) Driesbach, Jean Thompson, Sabrina Kee, all of Port St. Joe, and Vanessa Whitley of Tallahassee; two brothers, Willie H. Woods of St. Louis, Mo., and Richard (Luz Ella) Davis of El Paso, Texas; one aunt, Floyzell Shackleford of Port St. Joe; five sisters-in-law: Betty Alexander of Jacksonville, Geraldine Wilson of Panama City, Barbara Thomas of Orlando, Jessie Alexander of New Orleans, La., and Marzetta Alexander of Port St. Joe; two brothers-in-law, Chris Alexander of Port St. Joe, and Leonard Alexander of West Virginia; 13 nieces; 14 nephews; 12 great-nieces; and nine great-nephews; and a host of loving cousins and friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 28, at 2 p.m. EDT at Body of Christ Church in Port St. Joe, with the Rev. Wilhelmina Swanston officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, July 27, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the church.

MARILYN R. FAISON
Marilyn R. Faison, 64, of Richmond, Va. and Lynn Haven, Fla., died July 5 and was buried July 9 in Richmond, Va. She is survived by her husband, Frank A. Faison; her children, Larry, David, Beth and Trish; four grandchildren, Jimmy, William, Stephanie and Kristina; and an aunt, June Dunbar. Mrs. Faison was a volunteer at Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens and a member of First Unitarian Church on Blanton Avenue, Richmond, Va. Interment was in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

Meda A. Fiquett, 90, of Panama City, died Wednesday evening, July 25, 2001 in a local nursing home. She was a native of Georgia, and has lived in Panama City for many years. She was a homemaker and a member of the Springfield Baptist Church. Mrs. Fiquett is survived by her daughter, Sara Hatcher of Lake City, Fla., two grandchildren, and a daughter-in-law Katie Fiquett of Panama City. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. today, July 27, 2001 with the Rev. Jerry Everage officiating, at Evergreen Memorial Gardens, U.S. 231, Panama City, Fla.

JOSEPH EGBERT RYCROFT
Mr. Joseph Egbert Rycroft, 73 of 124 Miramar Drive, Mexico Beach, died Wednesday, July 25, 2001 at Mayo St. Luke's Hospital in Jacksonville, Fla. He was a lifetime resident of Bay County and lived in Mexico Beach since 1967. Mr. Rycroft was a veteran of the United States Navy and a retired I.B.E.W. electrician of 45 years. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Tignith (J.T) Rycroft, mother, Addie Joyner Rycroft and daughter, Linda Jo Rycroft Courtney Harrison. Mr. Rycroft is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mildred Hutto Rycroft, one son, Joseph David Rycroft and, wife, Linda Faye of Panama City, granddaughter, Leslie Karen Courtney Winters, (the only child of Linda Joe Courtney Harrison) and husband, Jeremiah James "J.J." Winters, two great-granddaughters, Amber Dawn Winters and Jordan Alissa Winters all of Baum Holder, Germany, grandsons, Christopher David Rycroft of Jacksonville, Fla., and Joseph Michael Rycroft of Panama City, granddaughter, Kristin Lynn Rycroft of Panama City, and mother-in-law, Angie Louise Hutto of Panama City. Funeral services for Mr. Rycroft will be conducted Sunday, July 29, 2001 at 3 p.m. in the Southerland Family Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Callaway Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday evening, July 28, 2001 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make contributions to American Heart Association in memory of Mr. Joseph Rycoft.

Memorial Services for the late Mr. Ulysses Van Wesley Jr. will be held Saturday, July 28, 2001 at 11 a.m. in All Faiths Chapel at Pasco Gainer Sr. Funeral Home Inc. Mr. Wesley was a resident of Panama City, Fla., for 18 years. He served in the United States Army for 23 years and was employed with Bay District Schools for 13 years. Cleera Howell, 90, of Geneva, Ala., went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 26, 2001. She was a faithful, loving Christian and a member of Assembly of God Church in Geneva. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jennings Howell and four brothers, Taft Crews, John Crews, Jim Crews and Clifton Crews. She is survived by two sons, Theiron Howell of Panama City and Milton Howell and wife, Claudia of Geneva, Ala.; three sisters, Claudia Creel of Geneva, Bennie Grace White of Apopka, Fla., and Jean Costello of Orlando; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held today, July 28, at 2 p.m. at Assembly of God Church in Geneva with the Rev. Calvin Sheerouse and the Rev. Scott Crooms officiating. Interment will be at Geneva Cemetery. Pallbearers are Ronnie Crews, Jerry Crews, Theiron Howell, Keith Howell, Kevin Howell, Bob Strausbaugh.

Mr. William Bryant Rhodes, age 71, of 133 N. James Ave., Panama City, Fla., passed away Thursday, July 26, 2001, at his home. He has been a lifelong resident of Bay County, was Protestant by faith and loved to fish and hunt. Mr. Rhodes is survived by his wife of 49 years, Margaret Rhodes of Panama City, Fla.; six sons, Bobby Joe Rhodes and wife, Linda of Callaway, Fla., James Allen Rhodes and wife, JoAnn of Panama City, Fla., William Allen Rhodes and wife, Valerie of Lynn Haven, Fla., Curtis Anthony Rhodes and wife, Rachael of Douglasville, Ga., Tommy Ray Cutchins of Springfield, Fla., and Junior Grice and wife, Vera of Panama City, Fla.; three daughters, Deborah Kay Rhodes of Panama City, Fla., Elizabeth Ann Williams and husband, Troy of Panama City, Fla., and Gayle Marie Cisnoros and husband, Martin of Los Cruches, N.M.; 20 grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren, and one brother, Lewis Rhodes and wife, Eileen of Villarica, Ga. Mr. Rhodes was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth L. Rhodes. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, July 29, 2001, at North Sherman Avenue Community Church with the Rev. Johnny Cromer officiating. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories. The family will receive friends this evening, July 28, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
