Jerry Moore officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.

Funeral services for Lucile Reynolds, 73, who died Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2001, at Bay Crest Nursing Center will be held today, Aug. 25 at 1 p.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church with the Rev. Louis Lamar officiating. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to service. Her passing is a deep loss to her family and friends. Her parents, L. B. and Rosa Lee Russell; brothers, Fred and Boyd Russell and sisters, Vera Russell Reynolds and Annie M. Berry preceded her in death. Mourning her loss, yet rejoicing in her purposeful life include, husband, Paul James Reynolds; two sons, Charlie (Terrie) Reynolds of Lynn Haven and George Reynolds of St. Petersburg; two reared grandchildren, Temeika R. and Lucile Reynolds of St. Petersburg; grandchildren, Sharon Williams, Krystal A. Reynolds both of Lynn Haven, Roy Reynolds Jr. of Panama City, Lucile and Charlene Reynolds both of Indianapolis, Ind., and James Reynolds of St. Petersburg; six great-grand children; daughter-in-law, Dorothy Mae Reynolds of Panama City; four brothers, Willie Frank (Bertha) Russell of Las Vegas, Nev., Marion Russell of Lake Wales, Fla., Ralph Russell of Tampa and James (Shirley) Russell of Panama City; two sisters, Pearl (Elijah) Wilson of Ocala and Besty (Ben) Wilson of Cottondale; the staff and friends of Bay Crest Nursing Center; and a numerous of nephews, nieces and other relatives. A devoted and special friend, Larry Anderson of Ocala. The family will receive friends at the home of Charlie and Terri Reynolds, 107 E. 17th St., Lynn Haven.

CONSTANTINO C. DU SR.
Mr. Constantino C. Du Sr., age 69, of 2926 Transmitter Rd., Panama City, Fla., passed away Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2001, at a local hospital. He had been a resident for 28 years, coming here from Hawaii. Mr. Du retired from the U.S. Navy in 1973 after serving 20 years and was a member of St. Dominic's Catholic Church. He was the former owner and operator of Du Oil and Gas Co. on Transmitter Rd. Mr. Du also worked for the U.S. Postal Service from 1973 until 1976. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Purie Du of Panama City, Fla.; three sons, Christopher O. Du, Constantino C. Du Jr., and Charlemagne O. Du, all of Panama City, Fla.; a daughter, Connie Purie O. Du of Panama City, Fla.; and three granddaughters, Naomi, Anna, and CeCe, all of Panama City, Fla. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, August 27, 2001, at St. Dominic's Catholic Church with Father Peter Zalewski officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens with Full military Honors. Asked to serve as pallbearers are: Constantino C. Du Jr., Charlemagne O. Du, Norman D. Bush, Ronald G. Espanola, Richard Layton, and Randy Decalibre. The family will receive friends at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home today, Aug. 26, 2001, from 6 to 8 p.m., with a Rosary Service to be held at 7 p.m.

JAMES LEWIS
Mr. James Lewis, 73, of Panama City, passed away Friday, Aug. 24, 2001, at his residence. He was a native of Samson, Ala., and had lived in Panama City for 48 years. He retired after 33 years working as a machinist in civil service at the Navy Coastal Systems Station. Mr. Lewis was a longtime member and deacon of the Cove Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Eunice Faile Lewis of Panama City; two sons, Jerry Lewis and wife, Pat of Panama City and Randall Lewis and wife, Crystal of Panama City; stepchildren, Mona and Tommy Johnson of Panama City, Johnnie and Robert Hoffman of Panama City, Jimmy and Shirley Frith of Orlando, and Desso "Bubba" Faile Jr. of Panama City; his sisters and brothers, Helen Aplin of Dothan, Ala., Bennie John Lewis and wife, Margaret of Milton, Doris Corbin and husband, Bill of Lynn Haven, Paul Lewis and wife, Norma of Pensacola, Mary Jean Wise and husband, James of Marianna, and Billy Ray Lewis of Dothan; his grandchildren, John and Ben Holland, and Erin and Tiffany Lewis and many stepgrandchildren. Funeral service will be held today at 10 a.m. at the Cove Baptist Church with the Rev. Nathan Keen officiating. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in his name to the Cove Baptist Church Building Fund. Asked to serve as pallbearers are Jim McCord, Jim Mincey, Raleigh Doss, Nick Daniel, Roy Groom, Raymond Mayne, Willard Pratt and Charlie Pratt.

ERNEST WILLIAM 'SHORTY' PREVATTE
Ernest William "Shorty" Prevatte, 75, of 8323 Tree Farm, Panama City, died Saturday, Aug. 25, 2001, in a local nursing home. He was a retired carpenter with Jenks Construction Company. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He had been a resident of Panama City since 1970. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Ruby Prevatte and a son, William Eugene Prevatte. He is survived by his wife, Viola Prevatte; three daughters, Esther Marshall of Fayetteville, N.C., Jan Morris and her husband, Ray of Vernon, Fla., Doris Jean Tyson and her husband, Ralph of Redline, Pa.; son, Lynwood Prevatte and his wife, Linda of Fayetteville; two brothers, Jack Prevatte and his wife, Evelyn, of Marion, S.C., Harry Prevatte and his wife, Faye of Nickels, S.C.; sister, Mary Martin of Fayetteville; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Buford Carter and the Rev. Ron L'Huillier officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens with military rites conducted at the graveside. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.

TERRY HILTON SMITH
Terry Hilton Smith, 54, a resident of Panama City Beach, passed away Friday, Aug. 24, 2001, in Panama City, Fla., following a short illness with cancer. Terry was born on Nov. 22, 1946. He attended New Brockton High School, North Florida Junior College in Madison, Fla., Enterprise Junior College, and graduated from Auburn University. Terry was the owner and pharmacist of Comers Drugs in Madison, Fla., for many years before moving to Panama City to work with KMart Pharmacy. While living in Panama City Beach he worked with Bay Medical Center, The Medicine Shop and Gardner's Drugs. Terry was preceded in death by his father, Mr. Grady D. Smith Jr. and is survived by his wife, Pam Smith; children, Gareth Smith and his wife, Chandra and Travis Smith, all of Madison, Daniel and Whitney Barrs of Panama City Beach; grandson Cody Smith of Madison; mother, Mrs. Merle B. Smith Of New Brockton, Ala., brothers, Grady Devon Smith III and wife, Jane of Birmingham, Ala., and Tommy E. Smith and wife, Marilyn of Kinston, Ala. He was the son-in-law of Sheriff Joe and Suzanne Peavy and Shirley Peavy all of Madison, Fla. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. today, Aug. 27, 2001, at Woodlawn United Methodist Church in Panama City Beach with the Rev. Robin Peavy and the Rev. Ronald Ball officiating. Interment will follow at Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery in New Brockton, Ala., at 3 p.m. The family will receive friends at their residence in Panama City Beach this evening from 5 to 8 p.m. Asked to serve as pallbearers are Mr. Hamp Ward, Mr. O'Neal Roberts, Mr. George Hill, Mr. Mike Thomas, Mr. Randy Rutherford, Mr. Larry Olive, Mr. Chris Cain and Opie Peavy.

Mr. James E. Rich, age 72, of 7820 Deerfield Lane, Panama City, Fla., died Friday, Aug. 24, 2001, at his home. He has been a resident of the area since 1994, coming here from Charlotte, N.C. Mr. Rich served his country in the U.S. Navy and attended Life and Praise Assembly of God. He is survived by stepson, Edward Lee (King) Parkinson and his wife, Carolyn of Panama City, Fla.; grandchildren, Gaye Lee Burnham and her husband, Lee of Panama City, Fla., Mary Ann Ellis and her husband, Leon of Palm Harbor, Fla., and Steven James Parkinson and his wife Sonya of Panama City, Fla.; great-grandchildren, Carolyn Burnham, Elizabeth Burnham, Megan Burnham, and Lauren Parkinson; two sisters, Joyce Blades and her husband, Elbert of Baltimore, Md. and Mae Abbott and her husband, Harold of Crisfield, Md; a niece, Janice Bales; five nephews, Rick Blades, Larry Blades, Rick Abbott, David Abbott and Kenny Abbott; an uncle, Roland Sterling and his wife, Geneva of Westover, Md; and the extended family of his wife. He was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Mary Byantha Rich. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, Aug. 27, 2001, at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. BERNICE 'BUNNY' HOBSON BLAIR
Born Jan. 10, 1948, Bernice "Bunny" Hobson Blair went to be with the Lord on Aug. 23, 2001. She is survived by her husband, Patrick Blair of North Richland Hills, Texas; her mother, Margaret and Conway Andrews of Exeter, Maine; father, Ralph J. Hobson of Panama City, Fla.; sister, Tina and Mike Tremblay of Newport, Maine; two brothers, Benny and Sandy of Panama City and Raymond Hobson of Milo, Maine; a special grandmother, Elila Henderson of Exeter, Maine. Other family members include Clay and Betty Andrews, Clint and Kelly Andrews, both from Maine; Robin Tiller, Ralph Hobson Jr, Becki Thompson, Edward Donner, all who reside in Panama City. A memorial service will be held at Central Baptist Church at 11th Street and Balboa Avenue on Thursday, Aug. 30 at 7 p.m.

Funeral services for Evelyn Stone Cruce, who died Friday, Aug. 24, 2001, will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in St. Andrew Episcopal Church with Father Denis Baum officiating. A reception will be held in the parish hall immediately following the services. Graveside services will be held Friday at 7 a.m. in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 5 to 7 p.m. Those desiring may make a donation to the Anchorage Children's Home in memory of Evelyn Cruce.
