Corley, born Feb. 12, 1907, in Quincy, Fla., who passed away Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2001, in Sacramento, Calif., will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Scott Tyman and Richard Moseley officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 6 to 8 p.m. Those desiring may make a contribution to the American Cancer Society in memory of Ellie Corley. Active pallbearers are Lance Cpl. Kane Overton, S.W. Overton, Craig Overton, Jessy Corley, Lee Etheridge and John Corley Jr.

DAVID ALAN DICKERHOOF
Mr. David Alan Dickerhoof, age 48, of Southport, Fla., passed away Sunday, Sept. 23, 2001, at his residence. He was a native of Cincinnati, Ohio, and had lived in Bay County for nine years. Mr. Dickerhoof retired as a tech sergeant after 20 years in the U.S. Air Force. He was warehouse Manager for C & C Manufacturing Co. Mr. Dickerhoof is survived by his wife, Teresa Dickerhoof of Southport, Fla.; three children, James Lloyd Dickerhoof, Ryan Alan Dickerhoof and Amanda Lynn Dickerhoof, all of Southport, Fla.; his mother, Irma Dickerhoof of St. Petersburg, Fla.; a sister, Jane Dickerhoof of Ocala, Fla.; and a granddaughter, Jade Whately of Panama City, Fla. Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2001 at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with military honors.

GERTRUDE SANDERS
Mrs. Gertrude Sanders, age 78, of Panama City, Fla., passed away Sunday, Sept. 23, 2001, at a local nursing facility. She was a native and lifelong resident of Bay County. Mrs. Sanders was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist Center. She loved fishing and quilting and made quilts for all of her family. Mrs. Sanders is survived by her sons, Bobby Lee Sanders and his wife Joyce of Westville, Fla., Roy Lee Sanders and his wife Betty, Jackie Sanders, Earl Sanders and his wife Marty, and Jimmy Sanders and his wife Judie, all of Panama City, Fla.; 16 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept 26, 2001 at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. James Ferrell Sanders and the Rev. Leon Jenkins officiating. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories. Asked to serve as active pallbearers are Tracy Sanders, Casey Sanders, Jimbo Sanders, J.R. Sanders, Bo Burton and Photis Owens. WILLIE N. WARD
Mr. Willie N. Ward, age 89, of Bruce passed away Monday, Sept. 24, 2001, in Walton County Convalescent Center. Mr. Ward was born Oct. 29, 1911, in Bruce, the son of J.J. and Florence Burke Ward. He was a lifelong resident of Bruce and was employed at Eglin Air Force Base for a number of years. He loved to fish and spent his time in retirement, farming and raising farm animals as a hobby. Mr. Ward was a member of Bruce United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Rigdon Ward and a daughter, Mazie Jo Carter. Survivors include a daughter, Opal Godsey and husband Earl of Red Bay; one son, Bill Ward and wife Faye of Bruce; a brother, Joseph Guy Ward of Bruce; six grandchildren, Kenny, Dewey, Josh, Julie, Donna and Karen and 12 great-grandchildren also survive. Flowers are being accepted. A time of visitation will be today, Sept. 25, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the chapel of Jerry Evans Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2001, at 2 p.m. at Bruce United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bill Young and the Rev. Mike McVay officiating. Burial will follow in Dead River Cemetery with Jerry Evans Funeral Home of DeFuniak Springs in charge of arrangements

LADYNE BAKER< Mrs. Ladyne Baker, 74, of Panama City, Fla., passed away Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2001, at a local hospital. She had been a resident of the area for 51 years, coming here from Blakely, Ga. Mrs. Baker was a loving wife and mother who enjoyed reading and garage sales. She retired in 1989 from Gulf Power Co. after 35 years of service and was Baptist by faith. Mrs. Baker is survived by a son, Gene Baker of Panama City, Fla.; a brother, J.C. Rogers and his wife Ina Francis of Blakely, Ga.; two sisters, Myrene King and her husband Hardy Jim of Blakely, Ga., and Bobby Jean Goocher and her husband Oelin of Marietta, Ga.; a granddog, Wiggler; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, 2001, at Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Allen Singley officiating. Interment will follow. Honorary pallbearers include all employees of Gulf Power Co. The family will receive friends at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home today, Sept. 26, 2001, from 6 until 8 p.m.

DOROTHY (DOT) NELL FAISON BEARD
Mother Dorothy (Dot) Nell Faison Beard was called home on Friday, Sept. 21, 2001. She was born in Fort McCoy, Fla., on Sept. 8, 1937, to the late Deacon Sylvester and Mother Lucille Faison. She attended Marion County public schools, and attended Oak Grove Baptist Church in Fort McCoy. In 1951, Mother Beard married Roosevelt (Bobby) Beard, and in 1957 moved to Port St. Joe. She joined the First Born Church of the Living God where she served for 30 years. Under her musical leadership, choirs and singing groups were established and developed in the community that are still the "talk of the town." She had attended The Body of Christ Church since 1992. Mother Beard will forever be remembered by her biological family, her church family and friends. Survivor include her loving and devoted husband of 50 years, Roosevelt Sr. of Port St. Joe; one daughter, Veronica Barrington and husband Arthur of Port St. Joe; seven sons, Roosevelt Beard Jr. and wife Yolanda, Terrell Beard and wife Leslia, Derrick Beard and wife Lar Von, all of Fort McCoy, Fla., Herbert Beard and wife Simona, Carl Beard and Leonard Beard of Port St. Joe, and Timothy L. Beard and wife Wendy of Tallahassee; two brothers, Reginald Faison and wife Alice of Ocala, and Alvin Faison of Washington, D.C.; two sisters, Celestine Clinkscale and Annie Pearl Bates of Washington, D.C.; 22 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and brothers and sisters in Christ. Funeral services will be held at the Body of Christ Church in Port St. Joe on Friday, Sept. 28, at 2 p.m. EDT with the Rev. Dr. Timothy Beard officiating. Interment will follow at the Forest Hill Cemetery. There will be a viewing at the church on Thursday, Sept. 27, from 6 until 8 p.m. EDT.

WINNIE ANNA BRUST
Winnie Anna Brust of Lynn Haven fell asleep peacefully on Monday, Sept. 24, 2001, after a long battle with breast cancer. She was born in Berlin, Germany, and has lived in Bay County for the past four years. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Paul Brust of Lynn Haven; a son, Martin Brust of Lynn Haven; a daughter, Ellen Brust of Atlanta; a brother, Bernd Moebus of Wiesbaden, Germany; and a sister, Ada Moebus-Lyons of St. Augustine. The family requested memorialization by cremation and private family memorial services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Covenant Hospice of Panama City or the Breast Cancer Foundation.

ELLIE V. CORLEY
Mrs. R.L. Corley, born Feb. 12, 1907, in Quincy, Fla., passed away Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2001, in Sacramento, Calif. She was formerly from 809 State Ave., Panama City, Fla. She and her husband moved to Bay County in 1931. After the death of her husband, her son Dan moved her to Sacramento, Calif., in October 1998 to be near him. She was a homemaker, except during World War II when she worked at Tyndall Field. She was the last surviving of 16 children of Lawson and Jane Scott. She is survived by a daughter, Ethel C. Overton Henderson of Cornelia, Ga.; a son, Dan and wife Hwa J. of Sacramento, Calif.; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews of Panama City. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Corley; son, Charles L. (Chuck) Corley; and son-in-law Len Henderson. She was a longtime member of the 11th Street Seventh Day Adventist Church, Panama City, where she had many friends and attended faithfully as long as she was able. Funeral services will be held today at 10:30 a.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Scott Tyman officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Those desiring may make a contribution to the Panama City Seventh Day Adventist Church, 1905 W. 11th St., Panama City in memory of Ellie Corley. Active pallbearers are Lance Cpl. Kane Overton, F.W. ANNIE LOUISE MORGAN
Mrs. Annie Louise Morgan of Lynn Haven, Fla., born Aug. 2, 1936, to the late Charles Kyle and Josephine Isabella Beavers of Washington, D.C., died in her sleep at home Monday, Sept. 24, 2001. Annie was an incredible artist and former owner of Annie Designs in Panama City, Fla. She is survived by her husband of 49 years Clayton; son Michael and his wife Peggy Morgan of Nashville, Tenn.; her daughter, Tia Holloway of Lynn Haven and Joe Holloway of Tampa; and son Travis of Lynn Haven; brother, Tommy Beavers of Washington, D.C.; sister, Xela Ragan and Rick Carrick; and brother, George and wife Kathy Beavers of College Park, Md.; seven grandchildren, Wilson and Tyler Morgan of Nashville, Tenn., Logan, Joseph and Morgan Holloway of Tampa, Fla., Dawn and husband Sam Owens and Misty Hogue of Nashville; five great-grandchildren, Jessica, Jordan, Jacey, Chase and Jalen of Nashville; a sister-in-law, Marguerite and the late Paris Warren of Seaford, Del., George and Ethel Fandel of Derwood, Md., Bill and Shirley Herbster of Dagwood, Del., Dennis and Esther Buster of Ashdown, Ark., and many friends. She was preceded in death by her mother and father-in-law Anna A. and Herman V. Morgan, and brother-in-law Herman A. Morgan of Washington, D.C. BILLY R. ROBERTS SR.
Mr. Billy R. Roberts Sr., 58, of Panama City, Fla., passed away Sunday, Sept. 23, 2001, at a local hospital. He had been a resident of the area since 1959, coming here from Boone, Ky. Mr. Roberts was a past member of the Masonic Lodge, Acme Lodge, Shaddai Shrine, and the Deputy Auxiliary Association. He was also a past president of the Hot Rod Association. Mr. Roberts is survived by a daughter, Tammy Rennee Bruce and her husband Nick of Queen Creek, Ariz.; a son, Billy R. Roberts Jr. of Apache Junction, Ariz.; and mother of his children, Wylene Wiechmann of Mesa Ariz.; his mother, Marie Roberts of Cincinnati, Ohio; four sisters, Shirley Roberts of Cincinnati, Ohio, Jewellene and Virgil Danforth of Lexington, Ky., Carol and Tony Balkom of Panama City, Fla., and Linda and John Rogers of Washington County, Fla.; two brothers, Teddie and June Roberts of Panama City, Fla., and Hobert and Phyllis Roberts of Cincinnati, Ohio; also a sister-in-law; Vera Roberts; two grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Mr. Roberts was preceded in death by David Craig Roberts, Leroy Roberts, Lloyd Roberts, Icy Collins, and Jim Collins.
