Funeral services for Mrs. Gertrude Sanders, age 78, of Panama City, Fla., who passed away Sunday, Sept. 23, 2001, will be held at 2 p.m. today, Sept. 26, 2001, at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. James Ferrell Sanders and the Rev. Leon Jenkins officiating. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories. The family will be at the home of Earl Sanders, 728 Dogwood Way, East Callaway Heights, 871-5207.

NANCY WILSON SCHEBESCH
Nancy Wilson Schebesch, 85, of Panama City, formerly of Kentucky, died Monday at Central Baptist Hospital, Lexington, Ky. Born Sept. 12, 1916, in Harrison County, Ky., she was a daughter of the late Ora T. and Annadale Scott Smith. She was a homemaker and a Jehovah's Witness. Survivors include her husband, William Schebesch of Panama City; a daughter, Woodie Peavler of Burgin, Ky.; a son, Maurice Wilson Jr. of Boca Raton; a sister, Jean Eason of Lexington, Ky.; a brother, Frank Smith of Lexington; a stepdaughter, Teressa Rayes of Richmond, Va.; a stepson, LeRoy Schebesch of Panama City; four grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 3:30 p.m. today, Sept. 26, at Bluegrass Memorial Gardens, Jessamine County, Ky., by Richard Thompson. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Kingdom Hall, Bayou George, Fla. Ransdell Funeral Chapel in Harrodsburg, Ky., 859-734-4317 is in charge of the arrangements.

ALMA ELIZABETH STRICKLAND
Alma Elizabeth Strickland, age 88, of Lynn Haven died Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2001, in a local hospital. She was born March 2, 1913, in Bruce, Fla. She had been a resident of Panama City since 1945. She was Baptist by faith, and a charter member of the Northside Baptist Church where she attended prior to her failing health. She was preceded in death by her husband, Buster Strickland; her parents, C.M. and Lee Bozeman; her son, Mack "Hughie" Strickland; and a sister, Irene Bullock. She is survived by a daughter, Bernidene DeWitt and her husband Kenneth of Lynn Haven; four sisters, Lorine Zampieri of Bruce, Fla., Evie Fayard of Gulfport, Miss., Gertrude Versiga and her husband George of Grand Bay, Ala., Ola Mae Mitchell and her husband Kenneth of Titusville, Fla.; brother, Clarence "Jim" Bozeman and his wife Judy of Blakeley, Ga.; daughter-in-law, Linda Strickland of Bradenton, Fla.; 10 grandchildren, Debi Howell and husband Doyle, Terry DeWitt, Todd DeWitt and his wife Doan, Tammie Strickland and husband William, Pam Niquet and husband Brian, Vicki Strickland, Stacey Newsome and husband Rob, Cecil Strickland and wife Lee, Michael Strickland, Dale Strickland; 10 great-grandchildren, Alana Marie Howell, Tara Nicole Strickland, Amber Strickland, Daniel Strickland, Kristi Lindsey, Angela Niquet, Matthew Niquet, Heather Newsome, Leslie Newsome, Steven Newsome; and great-great-grandson, William Taylor Strickland. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Jerry Moore officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. today. She was a beloved mother, sister, aunt and grandmother, who loved the Lord and witnessed to her family through her sweet spirit and prayers. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

JACKSON WILLIAMSON
Mr. Jackson Williamson, age 49, of Sunny Hills, Fla., passed away Monday, Sept. 24, 2001, at his home. A former resident of Pensacola, he had lived in Sunny Hills since November 2000. Mr. Williamson graduated from Port St. Joe High School, Class of 1969 and served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a member of the Church of Christ of Latter Day Saints. He also enjoyed fishing and gardening. Mr. Williamson is survived by a son, Earl Williamson of Wewahitchka, Fla.; a daughter, Melissa Cox of Panama City, Fla.; his mother, Mary Etta Williamson of Chipley, Fla.; four brothers, James N. Williamson of Pensacola, Fla., Michael W. Williamson of Panama City, Fla., John E. Williamson of Chipley, Fla., and J.R. Williamson of Panama City, Fla.; two sisters, Mary Jean Johnson of Chipley, Fla., and Sharron McDaniel of Indian Pass, Fla.; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Earl Michael Williamson. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, 2001, at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop Frankie Leavins officiating. Interment will be held at noon at Westville Cemetery in Westville, Fla. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today, Sept. 26, 2001, from 6 until 8 p.m.

LADYNE BAKER
Mrs. Ladyne Baker, age 74, of Panama City, Fla., passed away Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2001, at a local hospital. She had been a resident of the area for 51 years, coming here from Blakely, Ga. Mrs. Baker was a loving wife and mother who enjoyed reading and garage sales. She retired in 1989 from Gulf Power Co. after 35 years of service and was Baptist by faith. Mrs. Baker is survived by a son, Gene Baker of Panama City, Fla.; a brother, J.C. Rogers and his wife Ina Francis of Blakely, Ga.; two sisters, Myrene King and her husband Hardy Jim of Blakely, Ga., and Bobby Jean Goocher and her husband Oelin of Marietta, Ga.; a granddog, Wiggler; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today, Sept. 27, 2001, at Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Allen Singley officiating. Interment will follow. Honorary pallbearers will include all employees of Gulf Power Co.

ANNIE LOUISE MORGAN
Mrs. Annie Louise Morgan of 421 Florida Ave, Lynn Haven, Fla., born Aug. 2, 1936, to the late Charles Kyle and Josephine Isabella Beavers of Washington, D.C., died in her sleep at her home on Monday, Sept. 24, 2001. Annie was an incredible artist and former owner of Annie Designs in Panama City, Fla. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Clayton; son Michael and his wife Peggy Morgan of Nashville, Tenn.; her daughter, Tia Holloway of Lynn Haven and Joe Holloway of Tampa; and son Travis Morgan of Lynn Haven; Her brother, Tommy Beavers of Washington, D.C.; sister Xela Ragan and Rick Carrick; and brother George and wife Kathy Beavers of College Park, Md.; seven grandchildren, Wilson and Tyler Morgan of Nashville, Tenn., Logan, Joseph and Morgan Holloway of Tampa, Fla., Dawn and husband Sam Owens, and Misty Hogue of Nashville; five great-grandchildren, Jessica, Jordan, Jacey, Chase and Jalen of Nashville; a sister-in-law, Marguerite and the late Paris Warren of Seaford, Del.; George and Ethel Fandel of Derwood, Md., Bill and Shirley Herbster of Dagwood, Del., Dennis and Esther Buster of Ashdown, Ark., and so many friends. She was preceded in death by her mother- and father-in-law, Anna A. and Herman V. Morgan and brother-in-law Herman A. Morgan of Wilmington, Del. A memorial service will be held at Southerland Funeral Home, 1112 Ohio Ave. in Lynn Haven 6 p.m. Saturday. In lieu of flowers, those who desire may make a donation in honor of her memory to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation by calling 1-800-344-4823. Annie will be dearly missed by all whose life she touched. As we celebrate her life, we would like to remember her last words, her wish for us, "I have you all in my heart. You all will always be with me, as I will be with you. Please be happy."

JAMES EDWARD RODGERS SR.
James Edward Rodgers Sr., 80, of Panama City died Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2001, in a local nursing home. He had been a resident of Panama City for one year moving here from Pahokee, Fla. He was a retired field supervisor for U.S. Sugar plant. He was a member of Canal Pointe Baptist Church, Okeechobee Masonic Lodge, and Scottish Rite in Lake Worth, Fla. Mr. Rodgers was preceded in death by his son, James Edward Rodgers Jr. He is survived by his wife, Louise Rodgers; stepson, Neely Johnson, both of Panama City; three grandsons, James Edward Rodgers III of Canal Point, Fla., Brad Johnson, Craig Johnson; four great-grandchildren, Eddie Rodgers, Jonathan Rodgers, Nick Johnson, Laura Johnson; sister, Mary Moore; and stepson, Neeley Johnson. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in the Canal Pointe Baptist Church, Canal Pointe, Fla., with Brother James Brewer officiating. Interment will follow in the Port Mayaca Cemetery, Port Mayaca, Fla. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the services. Those desiring may make a contribution to the Canal Pointe Baptist Church Building Fund in memory of James Rodgers Sr.

ALMA ELIZABETH STRICKLAND
Alma Elizabeth Strickland, 88, of Lynn Haven, went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2001. Her heavenly mansion was ready and the Lord called her home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Jerry Moore officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers are Terry DeWitt, Todd DeWitt, Doyle Howell, W.D. Bullock and Kenneth Bullock. Honorary pallbearers are members of the Homemakers Sunday School Class of Northside Baptist Church. Her words are in our hearts, "Don't cry for me, rejoice for me, be happy for me."

ELIZABETH E. WHATLEY
Elizabeth E. Whatley, 87, of Panama City, died Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2001, in a local nursing home. She had been a resident of Bay County since 1984 moving here from Montgomery, Ala. She is survived by three children, Herbert, Annette and Sandra, eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 3:30 p.m. today in the Greenwood Cemetery, Montgomery, Ala., with the Rev. Greg Pouncey officiating.

ELIANE J.G. WILKINSON
Eliane J.G. Wilkinson, age 61, peacefully passed on Sept. 25, 2001, at her home on S. Kimbrel Avenue in Panama City after fighting cancer for 15 months. She is survived by her husband of 32 years, James C. Wilkinson; daughters, Nancy Fisher, Mary Fleming; and son John Fisher; mother, Mary Lecallo; brother, Claude Lecallo; sister-in-law, Madelene Lecallo; grandsons, Anthony Salazar and wife Kristie, Ricky Salazar, Christopher Bowman; granddaughter, Brittani Fleming; great-grandson, Jonathan Salazar; nephew, Beniot Lecallo and his wife Delphine and their daughter Manon Lecallo. Eliane was born in Le Pouliguen, France Nov. 6, 1939. There will be a private burial at the Pensacola Naval military Cemetery, Fort Barancas, Pensacola Naval Air Station. Eliane wishes that in lieu of flowers donations be made to The Hospice of Northwest Florida should anyone care to contribute. A service will be held at the Calvary Baptist Church, 1529 Mulberry Ave., Panama City, Fla., at 7 p.m. today, Sept. 27.

Mr. David J. Lock, age 69, of Fountain, Fla., passed away, Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2001 at a local hospital. He has been a lifelong resident of the area and was Pentecostal by faith. Mr. Lock served his country in the U.S. Army and was in the paint and bodywork business, which he enjoyed. He is survived by two sons, William David Lock of Indiana and Trumie Lock and his wife Katherine of Fountain, Fla.; five daughters, Glenda Corrillia Sell of Panama City, Fla., Judy Fay Storey and her husband James of Austin, Texas, Tammy Lynn Rourk of Panama City, Fla., and Sue Peaden and Ann Davis, both of Marianna, Fla.; two sisters, Thelma Donn of Callaway, Fla., and Bessie Vickers of Southport, Fla.; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, John Lock. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, 2001 at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ronny Rowan officiating. Interment will follow at Fountain Cemetery. Asked to serve as active pallbearers are Christopher Kennedy, Troy Stetson, Sammy Tharp, John Roberts, Mike Farmer, and Mike Olberry. The family will received friends at the funeral home today, Sept. 28, 2001 from 6 until 8 p.m.
