Miss Vincenza Eletto, age 57, of Panama City, Fla., passed away Friday, Oct. 19, 2001, at her home. Miss Eletto had been a resident of Bay County since 1985, coming here from Pennsylvania and was a member of St. Dominic's Catholic Church. Miss Eletto is survived by three sisters, Maria DiBella, Carmelina DiBella, and Angela Gonzalez, all of Panama City, Fla.; two brothers, Cologero Eletto and Vincenzo Eletto, both of Panama City, Fla.; four nieces and four nephews. Miss Eletto was preceded in death by her father and mother, Salvatore and Maria Eletto; and a brother, Salvatore Eletto Jr. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 22, 2001, at St. Dominic's Catholic Church with Father Peter Zalewski officiating. Entombment will follow at the Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. Asked to serve as active pallbearers are: Vincenzo Eletto, Joseph DiBella, Cologero Eletto, Tony DiBella, Daniel Gregorio and Rubin Gonzalez. The family will receive friends at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home today, Oct. 21, 2001, from 6 to 8 p.m., with a Rosary at 7:30 p.m.

MARY H. WILSON
Funeral services for Mary H. Wilson, of 3715 Airport Road, Panama City, who died Friday, Oct. 19, 2001, in a local hospital, will be held today at 3 p.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Larry Beach officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery. Those desiring to may make a contribution to Covenant Christian School or your favorite charity in memory of Mary Wilson. Active pallbearers are Bill Dickens, Paul Melvin, Jason Melvin, Kevin Melvin, Howard Langford, Ed Hemby, Jack Wilkes, and Bill Childs.

MARY G. RICKERT
Mary G. Rickert, 88, went to be with the Lord on Friday, Oct. 19, 2001, at Healthsouth Rehab Hospital. Born in Philadelphia, Pa., on March 18, 1913, she was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Rickert; her brother, John Greene; sisters, Elizabeth Robinson and Eleanor Floyd. She is survived by her nephew, William R. Floyd and his wife, Marge; niece, Ruth E. Wylie and husband, William. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church and Friendship Sunday School Class. Visitation will be on Sunday, Oct. 21, 2001, between 2 and 4 p.m. at Southerland Family Funeral Home on 19th Street. Interment will be at Whitemarsh Cemetery, in Prospectville, Pa., at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Gideons for bibles.

Mrs. Lisa Carter Lumbert, 41, of Ormond Beach, Fla., passed from this life on Monday, Oct. 15, 2001. She was born in Daytona Beach, Fla., on June 6, 1960, to William and Joy Gay Carter. She is preceded in death by her mother. She is survived by her husband, Chris Lumbert; her father, William 'Bill' Carter both of Ormond Beach; a brother, Bill Carter of Gainesville, Fla.; a sister, Sherry Bubeck of Deland, Fla.; numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. Lisa was a graduate of Mainland High School and simultaneously received her Associate of Arts degree from Daytona Beach Community College. She then received her bachelors degree in Art Education from Florida State University. Lisa began substituting for various schools in Volusia County and had been the art teacher at Osceola Elementary School in Ormond Beach since 1981. She loved children, especially her students and always respected them as individuals. Lisa was a model and an accomplished artist. She enjoyed helping at Ormond Memorial Art Museum and Garden and the Ormond community. Funeral services for Lisa will be conducted Monday, Oct. 22, 2001, at 2 p.m. in the First Baptist Church of Wewahitchka. Interment will follow in the Poplar Head Cemetery in Clarksville, Fla. The following gentlemen will serve as active pallbearers: Mark Gay, Mitchell Gay, Dirk Gay, Jamie Gibbens, Alex Munson and Croska Williamson.

GRACE M. MCFARLAND
Mrs. Grace M. McFarland, 70, of Port St. Joe, passed away Saturday, Oct. 20, 2001, at Bay Medical Center in Panama City after a brief illness. She was a homemaker, a member of the Garden Club of Port St. Joe, St. Joseph's Catholic Church and the St. Joseph's Altar Society. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Taranto; and a daughter, Suzanne M. McFarland. She is survived by her husband, Everett A. (Bill) McFarland; one son, Tony McFarland and wife Terri; two daughters, Cindy Tomlin and husband Jim, and Linda Pace and husband John; eight grandchildren, Steven Odom, Bryan Hobbs, Jamie, Jennifer, and B. J. Tomlin, and Jessica, John and Megan Pace; two great-grandchildren, Davida and Kaleb Odom; one brother, Anthony Taranto and wife Toni; two sisters, Nedda Hough and Delores Roux and husband Louie; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral mass will be held today, Oct. 22, 2001, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, conducted by the Rev. Tom Guido. Interment will follow in the family plot in Holly Hill Cemetery. The following men were asked to be pallbearers: Steve Gibson, Bryan Hobbs, Jamie Vathis, Sambo Walden, Melvin Ward, and David Whitfield.

RAYMOND EUGENE STEINBRECHER
Mr. Raymond Eugene Steinbrecher, age 81, of 111 Christopher Dr., Panama City Beach, Fla., passed away Saturday, Oct. 20, 2001, at his home. Mr. Steinbrecher was born in New York City and had been a resident of Bay County for 18 years, coming here from Miami, Fla. He retired to Panama City Beach after careers in the Merchant Marine and U.S. Post Office, was a member of the AARP, and attended Woodlawn United Methodist Church. Ray enjoyed making people laugh, and never missed an opportunity to share his jokes with friends and strangers alike where ever he went. Mr. Steinbrecher is survived by his wife of 58 years, Elizabeth Steinbrecher of Panama City Beach, Fla.; one son, Raymond Steinbrecher Jr. and wife Leah of Panama City Beach, Fla.; one daughter, Robin Ross and husband Barry of Panama City Beach, Fla.; two grandchildren, Amy Elizabeth Ross, and Barry William Ross II, both of Panama City Beach, Fla. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2001, at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2001.

Mr. Cage Isaac Bass, age 88, of 3525 T. Street, Panama City, Fla., passed away Saturday, Oct. 20, 2001, at a local nursing home. Mr. Bass had been a resident of Bay County since 1976, coming here from Wewahitchka, Fla. He was of the protestant faith, enjoyed fishing and woodworking. Mr. Bass is survived by his wife, Ethel E. Bass of Panama City, Fla.; one son, K. Frank Bass of Wewahitchka, Fla.; one step-son, Norman Wayne Noel and wife Jean of Panama City, Fla.; two step-daughters, Elsie Mae Andrews of Cedar Grove, Fla., and Jewell Sapp and husband William of Deerpoint Lake, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Mr. Bass was preceded in death by a son, Deward Allen Bass; and a step-daughter, Delores Mace. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2001, at the Jehu Cemetery in Wewahitchka, Fla., with the Rev. Harry McClellan and the Rev. Floyd Wright officiating, with interment following. The family will receive friends at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2001.

SARGENT THOMAS SHIVER
Mr. Sargent Thomas Shiver, age 81, of Fountain, died Sunday in Panama City. He was a native of Moultrie Georgia. He was a food service techinician with the Civil Service. A veteran of World War II, and he received a purple heart while serving in the Philippines. He was a member and deacon of the Youngstown Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Lucille Addie (Plymel) Shiver; four daughters, Lindall Jean Cubley of New Iberia, La., Judy Kay Norton of Douglasville, Ga., Dorothy Ann Shiver Johnson of Fountain, Fla., Janice Caroll Bouchard of Panama City, Fla.; and one son, Al Barkley of Panama City, Fla.; one sister, Hazel Vick of Moultrie, Ga.; 14 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceed in death by a son, Junior Shiver; one sister, Margaret Watford. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Youngstown Baptist Church off of U.S. 231 with the Rev. Bill Plazrain officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. ELMA LULA BUCHANAN RICHARDSON
Elma Lula Buchanan Richardson, 89, of 3916 Richardson Road, Panama City, died Saturday, Oct. 20, 2001, in the Bay Crest Nursing Center. She was born in West Bay, Fla., and had been a lifelong resident of Bay County. She was a member of the Millville Advent Christian Church, where she served as choir director, organist, pianist, Sunday School teacher and deaconess. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Panama Chapter 102, where she served as Past Worthy Matron, the Woman's Home and Foreign Mission Society, where she served as past president of the Florida and South Georgia Conference. She was a past member of the Panama City Garden Club and the Model A Club. She is survived by her husband, Renfroe Richardson; daughter, Virginia Vignali and her husband, Carl, all of Panama City; three grandchildren, Rosemary Woodhouse of Atglen, Pa., Linda Guevarez of Tampa, Fla., Carl Vignali of Lockhart, Texas; five great-grandchildren, Rachel Guevarez, Faith Guevarez, Vicki Woodhouse, Valerie Woodhouse, Rebecca Vignali; three sisters, Eula Clark of Pinckney, Mich., Louise Harrison of West Bay, Betty Dula and her husband, Jesse, of Panama City; three brothers, Oscar Buchanan and his wife, Juanita, of Chipley, Timothy Buchanan and his wife, Margie, of Panama City, Clyde Buchanan of Marianna, Fla.; brother-in-law, Dr. W.W. Richardson and his wife, Loretta of Graceville, Fla.; sister-in-law, Glady Seibert and her husband, Karl of Elberta, Ala. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Buchanan officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens with Eastern Star rites conducted at the graveside. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. H. CLINT JENNINGS
H. Clint Jennings, 79, passed away Saturday, Sept. 29, 2001. Surviving him are his wife of 55 years, Eleanor Carpenter Jennings; son, Larry Jennings; and his daughters, Ann and Blair; son, Gary and his wife, Kathy, and their daughters, Keri and Ali; son, Stephen and his wife, Theresa, and their children, Eli and Grace; brother, Garland Jennings; sister, Margaret O'Shell, both of Richmond. Clint was raised in Burkeville, Va., enlisted in the Army Air Force and fought in the Philippines during World War II. He returned to Richmond to work for C&P Telephone Co. for 43 years. He was a charter member of Bon Air Baptist Church and Huguenot Road Baptist Church. Clint was chairman of the building committee for the Bon Air Sanctuary. Since 1991, he had been a member of the First Baptist Church, Panama City Beach, Fla., where he led men's Bible study. Clint will be missed by friends and family. He understood the strength of the word love. Memorial services will be at 5 p.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church, Panama City Beach, Fla. 32414.

CAROLYN CARPENTER DAVIS
Mrs. Carolyn Carpenter Davis, 71, of Panama City Beach, Fla., passed away Monday, Oct. 22, 2001 at a local hospital. She was born in Elmira, N.Y., had lived in Buffalo, Miami, Chicago, Atlanta, and Cupertino, Calif., and retired to Panama City Beach in 1996. Mrs. Davis is survived by her husband of 51 years, Ronald Davis; her daughters, Sandi Townley and her husband Chris of Chickamauga, Ga., and Nancy Davis of Conyers, Ga.; her grandchildren, Heather Townley of Chickamauga, Ga., and Shaun Townley of Forest Hills, N.Y.; her brother, Thad Carpenter of Fenwick Island, Del.; and her sister, Helen Petoski of Elmira, N.Y. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rodney and Lois Carpenter; her sister, Gwen Macowiec; and her brother, Lester Carpenter. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the National Kidney Foundation or the American Cancer Society.

IVEY C. COX
Ivey C. Cox, Bay High School class of 1947, passed away Oct. 18, 2001 in Staunton, Va. Memorial services were held in Staunton. Ivey was predeceased by his mother and father, Grace and John Cox; brothers: Carlos, John, and Ernest. He is survived by two brothers, Clifton and Jack. In memory of Ivey, contributions may be made to the Cancer Society.
