Lorene Wright Yarberry, 87, of Indianapolis, Ind., and Panama City, Fla., died Saturday, Feb. 2, 2002. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, 2002, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses Speedway Congregation, 4850 W. Martha St., Indianapolis, Ind., with visitation to be held one hour prior to service time.

MAGDALENA EMMA KIRKLAND
Magdalena Emma Kirkland, 73, of Panama City died Friday, Feb. 1, 2002, in a local hospital. She had been employed at the Tyndall Recreational Center Snack Bar as a cook since 1974. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Kirkland. She is survived by her daughter, Angela Westbrook; and two grandchildren, Jasmine Westbrook and Anthony Westbrook, all of Panama City. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m.

JOHN LEONARD 'LEN' CONLIN
Mr. John Leonard "Len" Conlin, age seventy plus, of Panama City Beach, passed away Thursday, Jan. 31, 2002, at a local hospital. He was born in New Jersey and had lived in Bay County for 30 years. Mr. Conlin is survived by his wife, Lillian Roland Conlin of Panama City Beach; three daughters, Linda Musselwhite of Palm Bay, Fla., Judy Teague and her husband, Benny, of Merritt Island, Fla., and Laura Thorough and her husband, Bill, of Destin, Fla.; a brother, Joe Conlin of New Jersey; four granddaughters, Melissa, Jessica, Victoria, and Mindy; and a grandson, Allan. Memorialization will be by cremation, with no services to be held locally. His remains will be scattered in the Gulf of Mexico where he spent many happy days.

FLORENCE KAMENS
Mrs. Florence Kamens, age 70, of Panama City Beach, passed away Saturday, Feb. 2, 2002, at her residence. She was born in Southington, Conn., and had lived in Panama City Beach since 1993. Mrs. Kamens was retired as an account coordinator for the Hallmark Card Company after 17 years of service. She was a member of the Panama City Pilot Club and the Panama City Mustang Club. She was also a graduate of the Bay County Sheriff's Office Citizens Police Academy, and was a member of St. Bernadette's Catholic Church. Mrs. Kamens is survived by her husband of 47 years, Earl Kamens, of Panama City Beach; one daughter, Jody Kamens Nadeau, of Lynn Haven; a son-in-law, Ronnie Nadeau, of Panama City; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Bruce Kamens. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2002, at the St. Bernadette's Catholic Church with Father O'Shea officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Monday, Feb. 4, 2002, from 6 to 8 p.m. The family wishes to thank Dr. Charles Nichols and his staff and Dr. Dennis Healy and his staff.

TIFFANY MICHELLE PITTENGER
Miss Tiffany Michelle Pittenger, 8, of Chipley, Fla., passed away Thursday, Jan. 31, 2002, in Pensacola, Fla. Tiffany was a student in Ms. Kay Hicks' third-grade class at Millville Elementary School. Graveside services for Miss Pittenger will be conducted Monday, Feb. 4, 2002, at 10 a.m. in the Lynn Haven Cemetery with the Rev. Buford Carter officiating. Interment will follow. The family will receive friends this afternoon, Feb. 3, 2002, from 3 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home.

DENNIS JOSEPH RAMIREZ
Dennis Joseph Ramirez, 53, of Panama City, died Friday, Feb. 1, 2002, in a local hospital. He had been a lifelong resident of Bay County. He was a science teacher, having taught at Bay High and Rutherford High Schools. He was a 1966 graduate of Bay High School and an alumnus of the University of Florida where he was a member of the Alumni Association. He was active in NEA, was a member of the St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church, and was a former member of the St. Andrews Men's Club. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph (Joe) Ramirez in October 2001. Mr. Ramirez is survived by his wife, Mona Patterson Ramirez; daughter, Jordan Ramirez; son, Darin Ramirez; his mother, Voncille Adams Ramirez; stepdaughter, Rachael Rutledge and her husband, John; stepson, Benjamin Gainer; granddaughter, Alex Rutledge; grandson, Jackson Rutledge; brothers, Richard Ramirez, David Ramirez and Alice; sister, Anita Ramirez Dyches and her husband, Jim; cousins, Cindy Sorrentino Hancock and her husband, Gary, Rita Sorrentino Cole and her husband, David, Patsy Hernandez, Steve Hernandez and wife, Brenda; sisters-in-law, Bonnie Ramirez, Melissa Patterson, Elizabeth Aragon; brothers-in-law, Joel Patterson and wife, Sandy, James Patterson; aunts, Mary Hernandez, nephews, Richard Ramirez, Kenneth Dyches, Karle Aragon; nieces, Monica Dyches, Angela Dyches, Amanda Johnson, Sarah Johnson; and numerous cousins. Memorial services will be held Monday at 3 p.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Father Marty Bratek officiating. Those desiring to may make a contribution to the American Kidney Foundation in memory of Dennis Joseph Ramirez.

MARY FRANCES RAWSON
Mrs. Mary Frances Rawson, 67, of Panama City Beach, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Jan. 31, 2002. She was born in Calhoun County, Fla., and was a longtime resident of Bay County. Mrs. Rawson is preceded in death by her husband, Bennie C. Rawson. She was a loving mother and grandmother who is survived by two sons, Roger Rawson and Gary Rawson and wife, Debra, all of Panama City Beach; one brother, John Abbott and wife, Nancy, of Calloway; two granddaughters, Brittany Rawson and Shawna Attwood and husband, Nathan; two grandsons, Christopher Rawson and Brian Rawson; and two great-grandchildren, Hunter Rawson and Lauren Attwood. She also leaves behind a loving companion, Buddy Welch. Funeral services for Mrs. Rawson will be conducted today, Feb. 3, 2002, at 2 p.m. in the Southerland Family Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Fred Melvin officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Mr. Jimmy Stanford, age 62, of Southport, passed away Saturday, Feb. 2, 2002, at a local nursing facility. He was born in Blountstown and had lived in Bay County most of his life. He was a retired glazer for Tommy's Glass and was of the Baptist Faith. Mr. Stanford is survived by his wife, Virginia Stanford of Southport; three sons, Jimmy Stanford Jr. and his wife, Chris, Mike Stanford and his wife, Karen, and Troy Stanford, all of Panama City; a daughter, Donna Ward and her husband, James, of Panama City; a sister, Wynell (Nell) Hall of Lynn Haven; two Brothers, Luther Stanford of Panama City, and Gerald Stanford of Lynn Haven; fourteen grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2002, at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Hodges officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Asked to serve as active pallbearers are: Phil Ramer, Freddie Logan, Charlie Brown, James Hayes, Logan Pope, and James Ward. Honorary pallbearers will include: Rayburn French, Tom Benefield, J.T. The world lost a very beautiful person Billie Zielinski, age 89, of Sunny Hills, Fla., Thursday, Jan. 31, 2002, in Panama City. She had been a resident of Sunny Hills, Fla., for the past 291/2 years coming from Mt. Clemens, Mich. She was of the catholic faith and a member of the St. Theresa Catholic Church. She was a member of the Rosary Society. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 4, at St. Theresa Catholic Church with Monsignor Francis Szczykutowicz officiating. Rosary services will begin at 9:45 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 4. Visitation will be from 3 to 4 p.m. today, Feb. 3, at Brown Funeral Home. Cremation will be at a later date. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Zielinski. Survivors are two sons, Ronald Filipski and wife, Arlene, Sunny Hills, Fla., Michael Zielinski and wife, Joanne, Panama City, Fla.; one daughter, Dolores Pulanecki, Sunny Hills; one brother, Theodore Gawlak, Madison Heights, Mich.; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She will missed by all.
