CLIFFORD E. ROBERSON
Mr. Clifford E. Roberson, age 73, of Panama City, passed away Saturday, April 6, 2002, at his residence. He had been a resident of the local area for over 50 years, and he was a member of Callaway Baptist Church. Mr. Roberson worked for the International Paper Company as a pipefitter for over 35 years and was a member of the Quarter Century Club of the International Paper Company. He was also the founder of the youth baseball, football, and basketball teams in Callaway. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sue H. Roberson of Callaway; one son, Cliff Roberson Jr. and his wife, Ronnie, of Callaway; two daughters, Debra Adams of Callaway, and Drenee Marrero and her husband, Emile, of Elcott City, Md.; one brother, Chester Waston and his wife, Bloomie, of Gainesville, Fla.; one sister, Frankie Cotton and her husband, Gene, of Pensacola, Fla.; six grandchildren, James Marrero, Jason Marrero and his wife, Maria, Jared Marrero, Steve and his wife, Susan Roberson, Mark and his wife, Kim Roberson, and Mary Adams; and six great-grandchildren, Brionna, Corey, DeMarcus, Nathan, Brett, and Mya; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Mary Coatney. He was preceded in death by his son, Dennis Roberson. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 9, 2002, at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home with the Rev. Nathan Keen and the Rev. Gary Robbins officiating. Interment will follow at Millville Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the chapel today, April 8, 2002, from 6 to 8 p.m. Asked to serve as active pallbearers are: Frank Gibbs, Bobby Batyski, Joe Comerford, Wayne Bradley and Ralph Williams. Honorary pallbearers will include: Sil and Beverly Zimmerman, all the former players of the Callaway youth football, baseball and basketball teams under his direction for 13 years, the Steamfitter and Pipefitters Local Union, all the staff of Dr. Bataineh's office, and all the staff of Covenant Hospice.

DARALYN BRYANT
Daralyn Marie Bryant, 52, of Panama City Beach, died Friday, April 5, 2002, at her residence. Born in Torrance, Calif., she moved to Panama City Beach from Las Vegas, Nev. Daralyn was a homemaker and a housekeeper for the Dunes of Panama. She is survived by her husband, Haywood Bryant; mother, Marilyn Cecelia Petersen of California; one daughter, Donna Marie Bryant of Panama City Beach; three brothers, David James Petersen, Dennis Darrell Petersen and Dean Andrew Petersen, all of California; and one sister, Deborah Cecil Busch of California. Graveside funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, April 10, at 11 a.m. in New Southport Cemetery with the Rev. Floyd Wright officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10 to 10:45 a.m. the morning of the service.

REX BRUNER BUSH SR.
Rex Bruner Bush Sr., 86, of Chipley, Fla., passed away Sunday, April 7, 2002, in Dothan, Ala. He was a lifelong resident of Chipley. He was Methodist by faith and a member of Orange Hill Methodist Church. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 10, at Wachob Chapel with the Rev. Ron Alterman officiating. Burial will follow in Orange Hill Cemetery with Brown Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today, April 9, at Wachob Chapel. He is survived by his wife, Etha Ann Bush of Chipley; two sons, Rex Bruner Bush Jr. of Chipley, and Thomas Monroe of Hanover, Germany; four daughters, Dorothy White of Bonifay, Barbara Kent of Chipley, Margie Gramling of Chipley, Audrey Garney of Chipley; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Bertha Catherine Williams and Blanche Martin. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Orange Hill Methodist Church.

RICKY GENE COOK
Mr. Ricky Gene Cook of Panama City died Saturday, April 6, 2002, at his brother's residence. Born in Wewahitchka, he was a lifelong resident of this area. Mr. Cook is preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth. He is survived by his father, Bobby Cook of Panama City; two brothers, Rusty Cook and wife, Betty, of Panama City and Rocky Cook of Fountain; one sister, Bobbie Weidner and husband, Bobby, of Fountain; two nieces, Brandy Cook of Panama City and Kayla Weidner of Fountain; and six nephews, Rusty Cook Jr. and wife, Jessica, Joe Cook, Kevin Cook, Casey Cook, Josh Cook and Kyle Cook, all of Panama City. Funeral services for Mr. Cook will be conducted Wednesday, April 10, at 1 p.m. in the Southerland Family Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Steve Southerland II officiating. The family will receive friends this evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Funeral services for Mrs. Lynn Dunn Cox, 66, of Lynn Haven, daughter of Royal C. and Verna C. Dunn, who passed away Saturday, April 6, 2002, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tom Gashlin officiating. SARA ODOM CURRIE
Sara Odom Currie, 78, of Panama City, died Sunday, April 7, 2002, in a local nursing home. She had been a resident of Bay County for 55 years, moving here from Augusta, Ga. She was a member of St. Andrews Baptist Church, Shaddai Temple, Road Runners Auxiliary and the Beep Beepers. She is survived by her husband, Herman Currie; two daughters, Donna Currie, Debbie Carter and her husband, Wayne; five grandchildren, Brent Carter, Jamie Carter, Scott Hardee, Lynn Webb and her husband, Fred, all of Panama City, Kim Mercer and her husband, Marc, of Ocala, Fla.; and two great- grandchildren, Mallory Mercer and John Marc Mercer. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bill Montgomery officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 6 to 8 p.m. Those desiring may make a contribution to the American Cancer Society's "I Can Cope" in memory of Sara Currie.

ALVAH F. DUNCAN
Mrs. Alvah F. Duncan, born Jan. 2, 1925, died Sunday, April 7, 2002, in a local nursing home. She was raised in Kentucky and lived in Daytona Beach, Fla., for many years. Mrs. Duncan is survived by her three daughters, Mary Jo Sebolt and husband, Dennie, of Panama City Beach, Catherine C. Hines and husband, Chuck, of Clearwater and Darlene Duncan of Daytona Beach; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Mildred Mansfield; and one nephew, Steven Becknell of Lexington, Ky. Burial for Mrs. Duncan will be in Daytona Beach, Fla.

ROBERT WAYNE LOWE
CW3 Robert Wayne Lowe, United States Army retired, 59, of 4024 Deer Point Lake Drive, Panama City, passed away Thursday, April 4, 2002, in a local hospital. Mr. Lowe was a lifelong resident of Panama City and Protestant by faith. He retired from the United States Army. Mr. Lowe is survived by his wife, Audrey "Bobbie" Lowe of Panama City; one stepdaughter, Sheila A. Bond of Callaway; two brothers, Lowell Lowe and wife, LaNez, and Lamar Lowe and wife, Georgia, all of Panama City; three grandchildren, David Bond III and wife, Diana, Alice Bond and Angela Bond; and three great-grandchildren, David Bond IV, Audrey Bond and Trey Bond. Funeral services for Mr. Lowe will be conducted today, April 9, at 1 p.m. in Southerland Family Funeral Home with Chaplain Lt. Greg Swindle officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The following gentlemen will serve as active pallbearers, Larry Marshall, Randy Dorman, John Bylsma, Deland Suggs, Rick Sturgill and Wilburn Rodgers. Honorary pallbearers will be Charlie Mathis, Walter Sherman, Herbert Rushing, J.T. Windham, Jack Cutchings and Lee Singleton. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the American Heart Association or to the Parkinson's Disease Association in memory of Mr. Lowe.

JACK ALFREDO MOSLEY
Jack Alfredo "Fredo" Mosley, 50, of Lynn Haven, Fla., formerly of Harrisburg, Pa., died March 30 at his home after a brief illness. He was employed as an engineer at the Coastal Systems Station in Panama City Beach. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietname War, and had been a member of Chosen Friends Lodge 43, Nimrod Consistory 99 and American Legion Post 733. He enjoyed fishing and traveling. Surviving are his wife, Leslie Williams Mosley of Lynn Haven; one son, Jack A. Mosley II of Philadelphia, Pa.; two daughters, Tana Mosley Arrington of Houston, Texas, and Sharenea Mosley of Lynn Haven; two brothers, Roddie and Lamont Mosley, both of Harrisburg, Pa.; four sisters, Ida Moon, Bernadette Mosley, Rae Brooks, and Nikki Howard, all of Harrisburg, Pa.; one son-in-law, Gabriel Arrington of Houston, Texas; his mother-in-law, Gloria Williams; and his uncle, George "Toby" Young, both of Harrisburg; and his aunt, Viola Henderson of York, Pa. Memorial services will be held Wednesday, April 10, at 10 a.m. at Panama City Marine Institute.

TOMMIE DARLING NOWLIN
Mrs. Tommie Darling Nowlin, 90, of Panama City, Fla., died Sunday morning, April 7, 2002, in a local hospital. Born in Skipperville, Ala., she moved to Panama City in 1927 from Midland City, Ala. Mrs. Nowlin was a retired baker for the Bay County School Board-Food Services after 26 years of service and was a charter member of Forest Park United Methodist Church as well as a member of the Salvation Army Home League. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Herman Nowlin; four sons, Gerald Wayne Evans, John Albert Nowlin, Andy Herman Nowlin, Hollis Nowlin; one granddaughter, Brenda Gale Nowlin and daughter-in-law, Louise Evans. She is survived by two sons, W.J. Evans of Crestview and Howard Vernon Nowlin and wife, Debbie, of Morgan City, La.; daughters-in-law, Christine Nowlin of Callaway, Louise Nowlin of Tallahassee and Margaret Nowlin of Starke, Fla.; 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Nowlin will be conducted on Wednesday, April 10, 2002, at 2 p.m. in the Southerland Family Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in Parker Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends this evening at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. The family headquarters for the next few days will be the home of Ricky and Billie Ard at 230 Maine Ave., Panama City, Fla.

LUTA MITCHELL STOTZ
Luta Mitchell Stotz passed away in a Panama City hospital on April 6, 2002. She was born in Chipley, Fla., on Dec. 9, 1915, and grew up in Chipley and Perry, Fla. For her college education she attended Agnes Scott College in Atlanta, and she obtained her B.A. from Georgia State University. She then became an administrative assistant and a homemaker. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Chipley and a past deacon of the Presbyterian Church in Kettering, Ohio, where she also served as a Sunday school teacher for many years. She was a member of Chipola Chapter of NSDAFZ, the Chipley Historical Society, and the National Association of Senior Friends, Gulf Coast Medical Center Chapter. She was also a former Girl Scout leader. She was the best wife and mother anyone could have, a devoted sister, best friend, and doting grandmother. She was loved and admired by all who knew her. Mrs. Stotz was predeceased by her father, Stephen R. Mitchell; her mother, Flora Campbell Mitchell; and her brother, Stephen R. Mitchell Jr. She is survived by her husband, Robert (Bert) Stotz of Chipley; her daughter, Marian S. Hanson and her husband, Larry Hanson, of Savannah, Ga.; two grandsons, Robert W. Hanson of Atlanta, Ga., and David M. Hanson of Savannah, Ga.; three sisters, Flora Chase of Chipley, Sara Black of Florahome, Fla., and Jean Thorpe of Hot Springs, Ark. Funeral services will be held at First Presbyterian Church of Chipley today, April 9, at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. Michael Orr officiating. Burial will follow at Glenwood Cemetery with Brown Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers will be Robert Hanson, David M. Hanson, Phillip Rountree, John Rountree, Earl Merchant, Jack Campbell, Douglas Merkle and Francis Priester. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer's disease research, 1 W. Shady Grove Road, Suite 140, Rockville, Md. 20850-4622.
