Brenda Jean Biondo, 62, a homemaker, died Saturday, May 18, 2002. She is survived by her husband, Thomas Biondo of Tallahassee. The service will be at 11 a.m. EDT today, May 21, at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, Riggins Road Chapel (877-8191). Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 241 John Knox Road, Suite 100, Tallahassee, FL 32303. Brenda Jean Biondo went to be with the Lord on May 18, 2002. Her mother, Elizabeth Leiling, and her father, James Hucks, preceded her in death. Other survivors include four daughters, Cynthia Kaspar and husband, Mike, of St. Louis, Sharon Fitz of Cedar Falls, Iowa, Karen Morris of Panama City, and Christine Yokel and husband, Steve, of Tampa; two stepchildren, Stephanie Mullins and husband, Brad, and Andrew Biondo and wife, Sarah, of Lynn Haven; five grandchildren, Jennifer and Lewis Schirm of Cedar Falls, Timothy Morris of Panama City, and Jonathan and Brandon Yokel of Tampa; a stepgrandchild, Katherine Biondo of Lynn Haven; and a close longtime friend, Cheryl Chandler of Tallahassee.

CHRISTOPHER "JASON" CHANDLER
Christopher Jason Chandler, 25, of Panama City, Fla., passed away May 12, 2002, in a tragic fire accident in Church Hill, Tenn. He was born and raised in Panama City, Fla. He is survived by his two children, Starr, and Joshua; his mother and father, Barbara and Hays Hill; his brothers, Billy and Shaun; and his sister, Lorraine. He will be remembered by his special friends, Jake and Heather Berg, Chris Rawson, Mark Barber, Richard Myers, and numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 23, at 3 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Parker, 4630 E. Business U.S. 98, with the Rev. Hartzog and Chaplain Newell officiating.

AMANDA DIANE CROWNOVER
Miss Amanda Diane Crownover, 18, of Callaway died Saturday, May 18, 2002, as a result of an automobile accident. Miss Crownover had been a resident of Bay County since 1994 moving here from Germany. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church. Miss Crownover is survived by her father, Doug Crownover and wife, Sonja; mother, Diana Kendell; grandparents, Dorothy York and Wayne and Charlotte Kendell; stepgrandparents, Reda and Dick Echols and Jim and Gwen Swaringin; great-grandmothers, Leora Swaringin and Lillian Templin; two brothers, Oscar Favila Jr. and Austin Crownover; one sister, DeAnn Mcadoo and husband, Bernard; niece, Jolie' Mcadoo; and numerous aunts and uncles. Funeral services for Miss Crownover will be conducted Thursday, May 23, at 11 a.m. in Northside Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

IVA MAE HERRING
Mrs. Iva Mae Herring, 84, of Port St. Joe, Fla., passed away Saturday, May 18, 2002, following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Herring was the daughter of the late Ivory Carl Nedley and Mary Amanda "Mae" (Tucker) Nedley, early pioneers of the St. Joe community. When her father was mayor, Port St. Joe saw its first street paved. Mrs. Herring was born in Manatee, Fla., and after moving to Port St. Joe was, at age 12, busy making neighborhood deliveries for her father's fledgling grocery business. She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Louis Jackson "Red" Herring, and a sister, Mary Kathleen Eells. She leaves her sister, Melba Brown; and her brother, Robert E. Nedley, both of Port St. Joe. Since its beginning, "Miss Iva Mae" had been a permanent fixture in coordinating the photographs and invitations for the prestigious Tapper Invitational Golf Tournament. She was the personal secretary and bookkeeper for Sen. Tapper for over 30 years. Mrs. Herring is survived by three children and their spouses, son, Rodney Herring and wife, Pamela, of Port St. Joe; daughter, Carla and husband, Chick, Mathis of Montgomery, Ala., and daughter, Judy and husband, Rick, Williams of St. Joe Beach. She had six beloved grandchildren, Gary Herring of Panama City Beach, Holly Smith of Wewahitchka, Mandy Olson of Johnson City, Tenn., Kevin Mathis of Fort Walton Beach, and Alyson and Lindsay Williams of the Beaches. Mrs. Herring also had seven great-grandchildren. Serving as active pallbearers are Rex Buzzett, Justin Gerlach, Gary Herring, Greg Johnson, Kevin Mathis, Cliff Sanborn, Justin Smith and Jim White. There will be a visitation in First United Methodist Church of Port St. Joe on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. EDT, and graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. EDT Thursday at Holly Hill Cemetery in Port St. Joe. The family invites friends to honor Mrs. Herring by making contributions to the Gulf Coast Community College Foundation.

ROSA LANGSTON
Mrs. Rosa Langston, died Monday, May 13, 2002. Mrs. Rosa Lee Langston, daughter of the late Rosa Lee and Will Oscar Harris, was born Dec. 1, 1930, in Apalachicola. Mrs. Langston attended public schools in Apalachicola. On the evening of May 13, 2002, the Lord peacefully called Rosa home. On June 4, 1945, Rosa was united in holy matrimony with Albert Langston Sr. Rosa and Albert resided in Apalachicola for 11 years and later relocated to Panama City. This holy union was blessed with 13 children. Rosa was employed as a cook at Sirloin Steakhouse in Panama City for a number of years. Rosa accepted Christ early into her life and joined St. John's Baptist Church. Later on Rosa became a devoted member of Apostle Pentecostal Church until she was stricken with illness. Sister Langston was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Albert Langston Sr. She leaves to cherish her loving memory seven sons, Mr. Albert Langston Jr. (Pat), Mr. Freddie Langston (Barbara), Mr. Ellis Langston (Gwen), Mr. Oscar Langston (Jenetta), Mr. Roosevelt Langston (deceased), Mr. Donald Langston, Mr. Darryl Langston (Jeannie); six daughters, Mrs. Claudine Ashe, Ms. Betty Sheffield, Ms. Earline Howard, Mrs. Linda McGandy (deceased), Mrs. Sharon Heaton (Stanley) and Mrs. Jackie Brown (Joe); two sisters, Mrs. Thelma McCather (Ewing) and Ms. Olivia Young of West Palm Beach; one brother-in-law, Mr. Oscar Lee Bolden (Lucille) of Moss, Miss.; 46 grandchildren; 61 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Rosa Langston will be held today, May 21, at 1 p.m. at New Beginning Assembly of the Saints with Bishop Lonnie Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery. The remains will lie in state one hour prior to the services. The family will receive friends at 634 Cone Ave.

GRACE ELIZABETH McCLELLAND
Mrs. Grace Elizabeth McClelland, 75, of Panama City Beach, passed away Sunday, May 19, 2002, at her residence. A native of Brooklyn, N.Y., she had lived in Panama City Beach for eight years, moving here from Staten Island. Mrs. McClelland was a homemaker and was of the Catholic faith. She loved meeting her friends and making day trips to Biloxi, Miss. Mrs. McClelland is survived by her husband of 56 years, Raymond McClelland of Panama City Beach; a son, Ray McClelland Jr. and his wife, Kerry, of Ridgefield, Conn.; a grandson, Christopher McClelland of Ridgefield, Conn.; and a sister, Marion Hall of Manahawkin, N.J. Mr. Lloyd K. Ware, 88, of Southport, passed away Monday, 20, 2002, in a local hospital. He was born in Colquitt, Ga., and moved to Florida in 1925. Mr. Ware was retired from Chevron Oil and a member of Westside Baptist Church of Elba, Ala. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Alva Z. Ware of Southport; five daughters, Betty J. Toole and husband, Tony, of Bainbridge, Ga., Connie Pritt and husband, Adrian, of Southport, Shirley Roth and husband, Luther, of Alford, Charlotte Sanders of Alford, and Dorthy Broome and husband, Jay, of Newnan, Ga.; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; brothers, Eugene, Carl and J.P.; and sisters, Mary and Wilda. Funeral services for Mr. Ware will be conducted Wednesday, May 22, at 11 a.m. in the Southerland Family Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. James K. Solomon officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The following gentlemen will serve as active pallbearers, Greg Toole, John Wheat, Ron Wheat, Kevin Pritt, Darrell Roth and Don Waters. Lillian Inez Eldridge, 74, died May 23, 2002, in her home. She was a retired school bus driver for the Bay County school system. She had been a resident of Bay County since 1947, moving here from Bonifay, Fla. She was preceded in death by Mary Kay Eldridge and Debra Eldridge. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Bill Gene Eldridge; children, Nyoka Robinson (Robby), Pat Key (Jerry), Shelia Hollis (Victor), David Eldridge (Monica) and Josephine Mason; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Funeral services for Mr. Billy J. Jones, CW2, U.S. Army, retired, age 69, of Panama City, Fla., who went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 21, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 25, at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. SHELLY LYNN LANCIN
Shelly Lynn Lancin, age 17, of Greenhead, Fla., passed from this life on Tuesday, May 21, 2002. She was a member of the Junior Class at Vernon High School in Vernon, Fla. She had resided in Greenhead, Fla., for the past 16 years, coming from Wisconsin. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Bonifay, Fla. Shelly was a quiet, studious young lady who always had a smile on her face and a kind word for everyone. Her friends remember her shy, yet wonderful, laughter and her bright smiling face. She was a friend to all and will be sorely missed. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 Saturday, May 25, 2002, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Bonifay, Fla., with Bishop Franklin Leavins officiating. Interment will follow in Wachob Forest Lawn Cemetery with Brown Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time for the services on Saturday, May 25, 2002. Shelly was preceded in death by her father, Jim Lancin. She is survived by her mother, Melody Lancin of Greenhead, Fla.; sister, Jessica Lancin of Greenhead, Fla.; maternal grandmother, Laverne High of Wisconsin; and special friends, Kenny Watford and B.J. Rodgers. Those asked to serve as active pallbearers are: Christopher L. Mrs. Henrietta Sue Ramer, 81, of Panama City, Fla., passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2002, at a local hospital. Mrs. Ramer was born in Hartford, Ala., and had lived in Bay County since 1943, moving here from Geneva, Ala. She was a homemaker and a long-time member of Central Pentecostal Ministries. Mrs. Ramer was a "Proverbs Woman" in every aspect and was a beautiful, loving mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, J.W. Ramer of Panama City; daughters, Ann Gispanski and her husband, Richard, of Crestview, Fla., Virginia McCormack and her husband, Eugene, of Lynn Haven, Fla., and Shirley Chismar of Jacksonville, Fla.; grandchildren, John Gispanski and his wife, Leslie, Ronald Gispanski and his wife, Susan, Steven Gispanski and his wife, Karen, Janet Talcott and her husband, Gerald, Jody and Jeanna Jeffcoat, Lawrence McCormack, John McCormack and his wife, Angie, Mary Pennington and her husband, Russ, Luke Chismar, Jason Chismar, and Gretchen Chismar; and great-grandchildren, Desiree Talcott, Amanda and Garrett Gispanski, Daryl, Justin, and Ryan Stovall, Grant and Emily Pennington, Ashley and Lauren McCormack, and Jeremy Gispanski. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today, May 24, 2002, at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Don Shoots officiating. Entombment will follow at the Chapel of Love in Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Mrs. Ramer's grandsons.
