Mary Kelly
Mary Kelly of Starke died Saturday at Brookewood Nursing Care Center. She was 94.
Mrs. Kelly was retired from the Havana of Tampa Cigar Company.
Born in Madison, she moved 21 years ago from Tampa to Starke.
Mrs. Kelly belonged to the Evergreen Baptist Church.
Survivors include two granddaughters, Danise Tyre of Waycross, Ga., and Gail Powell of Green Cove Springs; and four great-grandchildren.
Thamar Charlotte Long
Thamar Charlotte Long of Gainesville died Saturday at her home. She was 89.
Mrs. Long was a store manager at Alterman's Department Store in Palatka for many years.
Born in Lindseys Crossing, Ga., Mrs. Long attended public school in Georgia. She moved from Palatka 12 years ago to Gainesville.
She belonged to College Park Baptist Church in Palatka. She also was a member of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Shelamer of Gainesville; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Alexina V. Caldwell Love
Alexina V. Caldwell Love of Gainesville died Wednesday at Integrated Health Services in Gainesville after a long illness.
She was 101.
Mrs. Love was a housewife.
A lifelong resident of Gainesville, she attended Newnan's Lake Rural School, Union Academy in Gainesville and Claflin College in Orangeburg, S.C.
She belonged to the Church of God by Faith, where she served on the Mother's Board.
Survivors include a son, Robert E. Love of Gainesville; two grandchildren and three great- grandchildren.
Althea Koontz Brown
Althea Koontz Brown of Gainesville died Wednesday at North Florida Regional Medical Center after a short illness. She was 86.
Mrs. Brown was a homemaker and a lifelong resident of Gainesville. She attended Lincoln High School.
She was a member of Powerful Elders, Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, and was a charter member of S. Marion Weeks Club and the Mount Pleasant Bible class and prayer band.
Survivors include a daughter, Betty B. Clark of Gainesville; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Sarah E. McKnight Camps
Sarah E. McKnight Camps of Gainesville died Sunday at Alachua Nursing Care Center after a long illness. She was 66.
Mrs. Camps was a homemaker and a lifelong resident of Gainesville. She was a 1951 graduate of Lincoln High School.
She was first lady of the church at Newnans Lake Church of God By Faith, where she was a member of Mothers Board, Home Mission, Willing Workers Club and the choir.
Survivors include four sons, Dr. Joseph Camps Jr. of Tallahassee, Calvin Camps, Waldon Camps and Steven Camps, all of Gainesville; five daughters, Carolyn Cowan of Venice, Cheryl Green and Karen Alford, both of Gainesville, Judith Matthews of Birmingham, Ala., and Jacqueline Lewis of Hampton, Va.; six brothers, Horace A. McKnight, Bishop James E. McKnight, Aaron McKnight, Alfred McKnight and Elder Willie McKnight, all of Gainesville, and Elder Charles McKnight of Maitland; two sisters, Betty M. Hutchinson of Gainesville and Gloria Daymon of Rochester, N.Y.; her stepmother, Julia M. McKnight of Ocala; and 22 grandchildren.
Willie James Davis
TRENTON -- Willie James Davis of Trenton died June 17 at North Florida Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. He was 46.
Mr. Davis served in the U.S. Army during the Vietname War.
Born in Madison, he moved from Madison to Trenton 47 years ago.
He was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church.
Survivors include his companion, Georgia Hall of Trenton; a son, Willie Davis of Chiefland; a stepson, Tommie Hall Jr. of Trenton; four stepdaughters, Floretha Hall, Jennifer Hall and Casaundra Pinkney, all of Trenton, and Angela Moore of Gainesville; 12 brothers, Edward Williams, Howard Bennett, John Cooks and Isaac Cooks, all of Madison, Felton Bennett, Earl Bennett, Freddy Bennett and Leroy Cooks, all of Fort Lauderdale, Ulysses Davis of Miami, Sylvester Davis and Andrew Davis, both of Jacksonville Beach, and George Stapleton of Trenton; 10 sisters, Deloris Wesley, Edith Glee, Bertha Bennett and Cassandra Bennett, all of Madison, Lorene Hogan, Rosa Lee Mitchem, Doris Brown, Dorothy Lindsey and Mary Love Davis, all of Trenton, and Josephine Dixon of Clearwater.
Tom H. Hudson
LAKE CITY -- Tom H. Hudson of Lake City died Wednesday at University Medical Center from injuries received in an automobile accident on June 19 near his home on U.S. 47 South in Lake City. He was 80.
Mr. Hudson was a self-employed home builder and was previously employed at Sears, Roebuck and Co. in Tampa.
Born in Live Oak, he moved from Tampa to Lake City 36 years ago.
He was a founder of Riverhills Church of God in Tampa and of Evangel Church of God in Lake City.
Mr. Hudson attended the Christ Central Ministries Church of Lake City and was involved with Florida Sheriff's Boy's Ranch of Live Oak.
Survivors include his wife, Alice Myrle Hudson of Lake City; three daughters, Sandra L. Hudson of Tampa, Joyce J. Plumlee of Ponte Vedra Beach and Murvyn L. Graham of Lake City; a son, Wayne T. Hudson of Lake City; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grand- children.
Dorothy Lockhart
MORRISTON -- Dorothy Lockhart of Morriston died Thursday at Nature Coast Regional Hospital in Williston. She was 73.
Mrs. Lockhart was a homemaker and a member of Gulf Hammock Church of God.
Born in Iaeger,cq W.Va., she moved from Panther, W.Va., to Morriston 19 years ago.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thurman Lockhart; and a daughter, Judith Kay.
Survivors include two sons, Roger Lockhart of Morriston and David Lockhart of Iaeger, W.Va.; four daughters, Sue Lee of Stafford, Va., Vicki McBride of Welch, W.Va., Rhonda Heath and Lori Clark, both of Morriston; a sister, Ann Stacey of Morriston; nine grandchildren; several step-grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Beverly Nan Moore
Beverly Nan Moore of Gainesville died Tuesday in Gainesville. She was 47.
Mrs. Moore was a salesperson and tour coordinator for Holbrook Travel Agency.
Born in Lakeland, Ga., she moved from Micanopy to Gainesville four years ago.
She graduated from Santa Fe Community College.
Mrs. Moore was a member of Jesus People Life Changing Church and of the Gainesville Chamber of Commerce.
Survivors include a son, James W. Moore of Gainesville; a daughter, Michel Moore of Gainesville; her mother, Betty Jean Fender Moore of Micanopy; a sister, Brenda Moore Webb of Citra; one grandchild; and a niece and two nephews.
Arline L. Pugh
Arline L. Pugh of Gainesville died Thursday at North Florida Regional Medical Center. She was 84.
Mrs. Pugh was a retired housekeeper.
Born in Parsons, Pa., she moved from Binghamton, N.Y., to Gainesville two years ago.
She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Gainesville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Pugh.
Survivors include a son, David Pugh of Gainesville; three sisters, Grace Marion Kays of Montrose, Pa., Betsy Litwin of Binghamton, N.Y., and Sarah Hudak of Kingston, Pa.; and three grandchildren.

Thomas L. Smith of Gainesville died Friday in Gainesville. He was 65.
Mr. Smith was a construction laborer. He also served in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve.
Born in Starke, he moved from Starke to Gainesville 36 years ago.
He was a member of Windsor Baptist Church.
Survivors include a brother, William C. Smith of Broken Arrow, Okla.
Neva Williamson
HAMPTON -- Neva Williamson of Hampton died Friday at her home. She was 63.
Mrs. Williamson was a homemaker.
Born in Kansas City, Mo., she moved from Palo Alto, Calif., to Hampton 40 years ago.
She was a Baptist.
Survivors include three sons, Larry Williamson of Monticello, Ark., Doug Williamson of Hampton and Johnny Williamson of Starke; two daughters, Shirley Griffis and Patty McCord, both of Starke; a brother, Hugh DeWitt of Berkley, Calif.; and nine grandchildren.
Clarence Anderson
Clarence Anderson of Gainesville died June 18 in Lake Butler after a long illness. He was 54.
Mr. Anderson, a laborer, was born in Shamrock and was a Protestant.
Survivors include his mother, Gladys Anderson of Gainesville; four sisters, Annie Pearl Rentz, Wilhelmina James, Mary A. Cason and Geraldine Anderson, all of Gainesville; and two brothers, Jack Anderson Jr. and Otis Anderson, both of Gainesville.
Sheffield M. Cobia
Sheffield M. Cobia of Gainesville died Thursday at North Florida Regional Medical Center. He was 77.
Mr. Cobia was a retired rancher and motel manager. He also served in the U.S. Navy and Air Corps during World War II.
Born in Sebring, he was a lifelong resident of Florida. He received a bachelor of arts degree in animal husbandry from the University of Florida.
Survivors include his wife, Joan J. Cobia of Gainesville; a son, Jay R. Cobia of San Antonio, Texas; a daughter, Sally Ann Rogers of St. Rainier, Md.; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Glen E. Elixson
MACCLENNY - Glen E. Elixson of Macclenny died Wednesday at St. Vincent's Hospital in Jacksonville after a brief illness. He was 59.
Mr. Elixson was a truck driver and a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Lake Butler.
Born in Lake Butler, he lived there until moving to Macclenny six months ago.
Survivors include two daughters, Malissa Elixson of Macclenny and Nicki Linton of Jacksonville; three brothers, Vernie Elixson, Ronnie Elixson and Donald Elixson, all of Lake Butler; a sister, Mary Joye of Wesley Chapel; and three grandchildren.
