Louise W. Klinkhammer
ALACHUA -- Louise W. Klinkhammer of Alachua died Wednesday at North Florida Rehab and Specialty Care Center in Gainesville. She was 83.
Mrs. Klinkhammer was born in New York City and moved to Alachua 22 years ago.
She was a member of St. Joseph Episcopal Church.
Mrs. Klinkhammer was preceded in death by her husband, August F. Klinkhammer.
Survivors include a daughter, Jane Klinkhammer of Alachua.
Elizabeth Talmage
Elizabeth Talmage of Gainesville died May 27 in Wenatchee, Wash. She was 35.
Ms. Talmage was an attorney. She also had served in the U.S. Army.
Born in Atlanta, she lived in Gainesville most of her life.
She received a law degree from the University of Florida and did post graduate work in China.
Survivors include her parents, Dr. Ward and Nancy Noyes of Gainesville; a brother, John C. Talmage Jr. of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and a sister, Layne Cheek of Homosassa.
Maxwell Joseph Wallace
Maxwell Joseph Wallace of Gainesville died Tuesday at his home.
He was 86.
Mr. Wallace was a former French professor at the University of Florida. He also was an FBI agent during World War II.
Born in Granite Falls, Minn., he moved to Gainesville 61 years ago. He received a bachelor's degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, a master's degree from the University of Cincinnati and a doctorate from Cornell University in Ithaca, N.Y.
He was a member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church and of the Modern Language Association.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Ruth M. Wallace of Gainesville; a daughter, Judith McWilliams of High Springs; a brother, Lew E. Wallace of Dublin, Ohio; two grandsons; and one great- granddaughter.
Charlie Edward Watson
ARCHER -- Charlie Edward "Sono" Watson of Archer died Tuesday at his home after a long illness. He was 85.
Mr. Watson was a retired farmer and attendant at Sunland Training Center, now Tacachale.
He was a lifelong resident of Archer.
Mr. Watson was a Baptist.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys L. Hart Watson.
Survivors include five daughters, Joy Ann White of Archer, Shirley Jean Spells of Fort Pierce, Barbara Joyner of Ocala, Betty Blade of Newberry and Judy Henderson of Tallahassee; a son, Allen R. Watson of Archer; a brother, William H. Watson of Gainesville; five sisters, Alvada Stanley of Williston, Ethel Loper of Gainesville, Ophelia Dickie of Georgia and Ollie May Berry and Rosalie Thomas, both of Archer; 30 grandchildren; and 36 great-grandchildren.
Aubrey Fowler
LIVE OAK -- Aubrey Fowler of Live Oak, a founder and former president of the Florida Folk Festival in White Springs, died Monday at Advent Christian Village in Dowling Park after a long battle with cancer. He was 87.
Mr. Fowler had received on May 29 the Florida Heritage Founders' Award for his work on the festival.
Mr. Fowler was a former president and general manager of Farm Credit Services (formerly North Florida Production Credit Association). He also had been a barber and a mason and had a Saturday night radio broadcast from the Suwannee River Jamboree. Many years ago, he was a school teacher.
He was a member of First Baptist Church of Live Oak, where he taught Sunday school in the Andrew Men's Bible Class on the radio for 45 years.
He was born in Lafayette County and lived in North Central Florida all his life.
He was a moderator of the Suwannee Baptist Association, president of the Kiwanis Club, president of the Florida Council of Farmer Cooperatives, secretary of the Jaycees, a member of the Suwannee County Chamber of Commerce and was a charter member of the Suwannee River Arts and Crafts Guild board of directors.
After becoming ill, Mr. Fowler took up painting to take his mind off his pain and finished 57 paintings before his death.
Survivors include his wife, Lucile Perry Fowler of Live Oak; a daughter, Nata Fowler Nolen of Raleigh, N.C.; a son, A. Wayne Fowler of Bethesda, Md.; a sister, Marenda Fowler Goodwin of Day; three grandsons; and two great- grandchildren.

Joan Suzette Aunkst
Joan Suzette Aunkst of Gainesville died Sunday at Hospice House in Gainesville. She was 51.
Miss Aunkst was a registered nurse.
Born in Watsontown, Pa., she moved from Watsontown to Gainesville 13 years ago. She graduated from Lock Haven University in Lock Haven, Pa., and Williamsport School of Nursing and received her master's degree in nursing from the University of Florida.
She was a member of Emmanuel Mennonite Church, Sigma Theta Tau, Oncology Nurses, American Cancer Society and Kappa Delta Pi.
Survivors include two brothers, Joseph Aunkst of Topeka, Kan., and Jack E. Aunkst of Milton, Pa.; and five sisters, Alta Mae Whitmoyer of Watsontown, Barbara Burley of Montgomery, Pa., Carolyn Griffis of Tucson, Ariz., Pauline Turner of Liverpool, N.Y., and Betsy Nichols of Atlanta.

Doris P. Brooks
Doris P. Brooks of Gainesville died Monday at North Florida Regional Medical Center. She was 93.
Mrs. Brooks formerly owned and operated doris brooks children's shop in Jacksonville.
Born in Salisbury, N.C., she moved from Jacksonville to Gainesville 12 years ago.
She was a member of University Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Brooks was preceded in death by her husband, Thurston L. Brooks; and a daughter, Doris Brooks Bush.
Survivors include a daughter, Carole Brooks McCoy of Gainesville; a son, Thurston L. "Buck" Brooks Jr. of Gainesville; two sisters, Margaret Poole Daniel of Austin, Texas, and Lois H. Poole of Jacksonville; a brother, Charles Clayton Brooks of Jacksonville; 10 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and four great- great-grandchildren.
Suzanne M. Coyle
Suzanne M. Coyle of Gainesville died Monday in Gainesville after a long illness. She was 46.
Mrs. Coyle was born in Fall River, Mass., and moved to Gainesville from Miami 21 years ago. She was a sales associate with Wal-Mart. Mrs. Coyle loved gardening, plants, herbs, electronics and pets. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband, Dennis Coyle of Gainesville; three daughters, Michelle Sullivan, Kelly Sullivan Heilig and Willow Coyle, all of Gainesville; four sons, Shawn Sullivan and David Coyle, both of Gainesville, Jesse Coyle of Trenton and Sam Coyle of Bell; her mother, Christine Dallaire of Williston; a brother, Art Dallaire of Gainesville; and a sister, Catherine Robinson of Williston.

William R. Gould
SARASOTA -- William R. Gould of Sarasota died Sunday in Sarasota Memorial Hospital. He was 88.
Mr. Gould was a retired firefighter in New York City.
Born in Staten Island, N.Y., he moved from Middletown, N.J., to Sarasota 30 years ago.
He was a Roman Catholic.
Survivors include his wife, Kathleen Gould of Sarasota; four daughters, including Elizabeth Ann Bache of Gainesville; and seven grandchildren.
Tommy Lee Crews
Tommy Lee Crews of Gainesville died Sunday at Shands at AGH. He was 49.
Mr. Crews was born in Bell and lived most of his life in Gainesville.
He attended the Church of God in Bell.
Survivors include a sister, Doris Gray of Archer; and two brothers, Donald Lee Crews of Gainesville and Robert Crews of Hawthorne.
Helen Catherine Lesko
DOWLING PARK -- Helen Catherine Lesko of Dowling Park died Monday in Gainesville after a short illness.
She was 89.
Mrs. Lesko was a homemaker.
Born in Easton, Conn., she moved from Stratford, Conn., to Dowling Park 24 years ago.
She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and the Women's Circle of St. Francis.
Survivors include two sons, Raymond Lesko Sr. and George Lesko, both of Stratford; a daughter, Barbara Ann Lesko of Dowling Park; a brother, George Micklos of Fairfield, Conn.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Harry A. Sutherland
WILLISTON -- Harry A. Sutherland of Williston died Sunday at his home. He was 61.
Mr. Sutherland was a retired operating engineer.
Born in Sanford, he moved from Sanford to Williston 13 years ago.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Sutherland of Williston; a daughter, Debbie Watkins of St. Augustine; five sons, David Gately of Dunnellon, Jim Gately of Pensacola, Harry Sutherland and Ward Sutherland, both of Marlboro, N.Y., and Phillip Sutherland of Sanford; a sister, Jean Lewis of Longwood; and eight grandchildren.
