He was the former owner of Ken Stone & Son Plumbing and of Port St. Lucie Lanes. He was a member of the Ft. Pierce Elks Club #1520 for 54 years and a member of the American Legion for 38 years. He served in the Air Force during WWII.

Beloved Wife and Mother lost her brave fight with cancer on October 10, 2003 in Ft. Pierce, FL.
She was retired from General Dynamics as a Product Analyst of military equipment.
Elaine was a very active member of St. Anastasia Church and loved to sing in the choir. Her musical talents extended to many shows performed at the “On Golden Ponds” Clubhouse. She enjoyed many friends who benefited from her love of cooking and baking. She was also a member of the Vero Beach Power Squadron and past President of the Shipmates.
Survivors include her husband of sixteen years, Dr. Robert D. Sobieski of Ft. Pierce, FL; son, John Haubner of Sterling Heights, MI; daughters, Lauralee Rounds of Maui, Hawaii, Lisa Anne and husband Brian Dodds of Gregory, MI; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; she was preceded in death by her daughter, Sister Mary Kevin Haubner.

Mrs. Sullivan was a member of St. Bernadette’s Catholic Church in St. Lucie West. Previously, she was a member of St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Ft. Pierce, where she was a member of the Ladies Guild and volunteered at the St. Mark’s Thrift Store.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, John J. Charles E. “Babe” Strouse, 88 died March 2, 2003, in Fort Pierce, Florida. Mr. Strouse was born in Zanesville, Ohio and came to Fort Pierce in 1979.
Mr. Strouse was the Manager of a Tire Store. He was a decorated Army Veteran in the World War II European Theater.
