He was a native of Hagerstown, MD; he grew up in Washington, DC and came here from North Palm Beach, FL in 1978.
Prior to retirement he was a Chief Airport Traffic Controller at Palm Beach International Airport from 1948-1959. Subsequently he served overseas as an International Aviation Services Officer in Europe, Asia, Central, and South America and the Caribbean while on assignment to the US State Department. He received commendations from the governments of Thailand, Greece, Peru, and Brazil.
Concluding his overseas assignments he was awarded a Sustained Superior Performance Award by the Federal Aviation Agency.
Claybourne served in the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Marines Corps. He attended Maryland University, National University, and the FAA Academy at Oklahoma City.
Survivors include his sons, Michael and wife Jean of Huntsville, AL, and Stephen and wife Helen of Anderson, SC; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and he was preceded in death by his wife, Frances.

Ian T. Zook, 24, died October 12, 2004 while serving his country in Iraq during a mortar attack.
Corporal Zook was born in Peoria, Illinois and had lived in Port St. Lucie for 18 years coming from Illinois.
He was a graduate and valedictorian of the Class of 99 at Faith Baptist School, Fort Pierce, graduate of the Word of Life Bible Institute, Hudson, Florida, attended I.R.C.C. where he studied Criminal Justice, went on 2 mission trips, and in May 2001 he joined the U.S. Marine Corp.
Survivors include his parents, Mark & Karen Zook of Port St. Lucie, FL; sister, Amy Zook of Peoria, IL; maternal grandparents, Robert & Dorothea Jensen of East Peoria, IL; and paternal grandmother, Barbara Zook of Peoria, IL. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Thomas E. Zook.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Teen Mission International, 885 East Hall Road, Merritt Island, Florida, 32953.

Pierce, FL; brother, Philip Bryan of Daytona Beach, FL; sisters, Daphne Lowdermilk of Deland, FL, and Imogene Wilson of Pierson, FL; granddaughters, Amanda Finchum, Shayla Macaluso, and Stephanie Rajewski all of Ft. Alice L. “Enie” Bryan, 81, died July 24, 2004, at her home in Fort Pierce, FL.
Mrs. Bryan was born in Lost River Township, Martin County, Indiana , and moved to Ft. Pierce in the 1970’s coming from Kendallville, Indiana .
She was a Home Economic teacher, homemaker, and the manager of her late husband’s medical practice.
She graduated in 1943 from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana , with a B.A. in Home Economics. She was a member of the Ocean Village Tennis Team, Red Cross Blood Mobile Volunteer, member of Tri Kappa, Charter Member of “The Book Club” in Kendallville, Indiana , member of numerous bridge clubs, volunteered at Lawnwood Medical Center and McCray Memorial Hospital, and was also a Boy Scout Leader.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, William B. and Barbara L. Bryan of Angola, IN; son and daughter-in-law, Robert T. and Anita Norman Bryan of Ft. Pierce; daughter, Sue A. Bryan Anderson of Stoddard, WI; brother, Warren Hendrix and wife Ruth of French Lick, IN; grandchildren, Dr. Benjamin R. Bryan of Chicago, IL, Bradley W. Bryan of Sarasota, FL, Christian Bryan-Coburn of Tampa, FL, Wendy L. Gordy of Ft. Pierce, FL, James R. Gordy II of Ft. Pierce, FL, and Wyatt L.
