TAAFFE, Dovie Lee (Fincher), age 68, of Brandon, Fla., went to be with the Lord on March 17, 2002. Dovie grew up in the Tampa area, attending Woodrow Wilson Jr. High and graduating from H.B. Plant High School in 1953. In high school she was known to her classmates as Diana Girton. After graduation she attended St. Pete Jr. College and worked for GE in sales. Later she became a caregiver, caring for older persons in different areas of the country. Dovie returned to Tampa in 1996 and married Robert L. Taaffe, a former classmate at Plant. Since 1996 she had been a homemaker. Dovie was known by all who knew her as a caring, loving individual who was loved by all. We will all miss her. She is survived by her husband, Robert L. Taaffe and all her loving friends. Flowers will be accepted but d onations may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society. She was predeceased by her parents, P.M. and Ellen Pride Bowden; four brothers; two sisters; her beloved husband, W. H. Norman; an infant daughter and a great-grandson. Since her husband's death in 1967, she has been a member of the Will iams family. She is survived by one daughter and her husband, Margie and Don Williams; her granddaughter and family, Debbie, Gary, Jessica, Lindsey and Carley Steve; grandson, Scott Williams; grandson and family Dave, Onelissa, Ashley and Bryan Williams; grandson and wife, Marty and Sheila Williams all of Zephyrhills, Fla.; granddaughter and family, Donna, Mike and Breezy Emmanuel of Tampa; great- grandson and wife, Don and April Williams, and Christmas baby, great-great- grand- daughter, Averie Williams of North Carolina. He w as born icon July 7, 1925 in Englewood, N.J., and moved to Zephyrhills 33 years ago from Tampa. CARTER, Josie, 69, died March 19, 2002 in Tampa. Born in Cayman Brac, Cayman Islands, she moved to this area in 1967. She was a Baptist and a homemaker. She is survived by her sons, Raymond and Edward; daughters, Joanne, Donna and Charlotte; and five grandchildren. Visitation will be March 22, 2002 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., with services on March 23, 2002 at 2 p.m., both at Hillsboro Memorial F.H.

DAVIS, Rev. Richmond J., 72, of Lakeland, died March 16, 2002. Survived by wife, Irene; three sons; and three daughters. Williams Funeral Home, Bartow.

FINDLAY, Jayne, 82, of Tampa died Feb. 27, 2002. Born in Port Coldin, N.J.. she is survived by sons, Gerald and Thomas Flatt; and brother, Donald C. Holmes.

FLANAGAN, Alice C., 82, of Tampa (formerly of Sun City Center), died Sunday, March 17, 2002. Born in Chicago, she moved to this area in 1982, she was a retired marketing manager for the Illinois Bell Telephone Company. Mrs. Flanagan was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Surviving are her sons, Leo M. of Elgin, Ill., John of Edelsteine, Ill. and Thomas of Elk Grove, Ill.; daughter, Ma ry of Loveland, Ohio; five grandsons, Jeffrey, Joe, Sean, Michael and Patrick Flanagan; two granddaughters, Keri Castoro and Kristin Gray; two great-grandsons, Michael Castoro and Anthony Flanagan; one great-granddaughter, Katelyn Castoro. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday evening at Lewers Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. A Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 11 a.m. at Prince of Peace Catholic Church with Monsignor Harold Bumpus officiating. GEARHART, Hazel, 68, of Tampa, died March 19, 2002 at her residence under the loving care of Hospice. She was born icon in Pocahontas, Va., and moved to Tampa in 1961 from Bluefield, W.Va. She is survived by sons, Daniel and his wife Jannifer of Tampa, and Mark of Ft. Myers; sister Dorothy Carter of Gilmer, Texas; and grand- children, Christopher Gearhart and Angela Creamato. GIEBNER, Evelyn B., 84, of Tampa, formerly of Maine, passed away March 19, 2002 after an illness. Mrs. Giebner was a home- maker, member of the Pebble Creek Women's Club, attended St. James Methodist and Joyful Servants Lutheran Church in New Tampa. She is survived by her daughter, Lillian `Lilly` Anne Giebner Roe; grand- daughter, Stephanie Roe Papoulis; grandson, Adrian Christopher `Chris` Ro e; and M.J. McDonald. The family wishes to thank Judy Jung, LifePath Hospice, University Community Hospital and Carol Hodges, M.D., for their loving care and support. She was deeply loved and will be dearly missed. GLEATON, Dwight Kenneth, age 50, of Miami, died suddenly on Feb. 4, 2002. He was a Tampa native, having lived in Miami for the past seventeen years. He is survived by his wife, Gail Stevens Gleaton; twins, Allie and Cole Gleaton, all of Miami, his parents, Myrna and Carroll Gleaton; a brother, C. Wayne Gleaton and wife Linda; and a sister, Jinkey Gleaton Barker, all of Tampa; also several niece s, nephews, numerous loving in-laws and friends. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday Mar. 23, 2002 at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park. Rev. Rapley Armstrong will officiate. Those who so desire may make memorial contributions to the Trust Fund that has been set up for the twins Cole and Allie.

GLENN, Paul P., Born October 8, 1909 and passed away on March 18, 2002 in Tampa. Paul retired from Sherwin-Williams Paint Company and was a member of the Roman Catholic Church. He was also a member of the Calvary Association of New York. He was preceded in death by his wife, Delma A. Glenn; two brothers; and two sisters. He is survived by a sister, Catherine M. Glenn. HENLEY, Georgiana, 87, passed away on March 19, 2002 under the gentle care of Lake Shore Villas. Predeceased by her husband Noble B. Henley; she leaves four sons and their families, Gary D. Henley of Clearwater, Donald B. Henley and wife Laura of Tampa, Larry N. Henley and wife Helen of Lutz, and Lester E. Henley and wife Neta of Lutz. Georgiana is survived by her brother, Wallace E. Leavine an d wife Betty of Tampa; sister-in-law, Minnie Lou Bland and husband Charles of Clinton Miss.; grandchildren Terry, Debra, Larry Jr. Jenny, Robin, and Les Jr.; and five great-grandchildren. A life-long resident of Tampa, Mrs. Henley was an avid bowler who worked for the Hillsborough County School System after her husband's death. KING, Flora Belle Marie, departed this life Tuesday, March 19, 2002 to be with her Lord Jesus Christ. While she will be missed by family and loved ones, there is no doubt that her life reflected her ultimate desire of oneness with God.
