TIFT, JAMES E., 76, of St. Petersburg, died Wednesday (March 13, 2002) at Suncoast Manor Health Center. Born in Sylvester, Ga., he came here in 1987 from New Jersey. He was a member of Jehovah's Witnesses. He was an Air Force veteran and enjoyed fishing. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Dorothy; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Abbey Parklawn Funeral Home, Dunedin.

BLAKE, PAULINE ANNE, 87, of Seminole, died Sunday (March 10, 2002) at home. She came here several years ago from Barre, Vt. She was a homemaker. Survivors include a son, Paul Blake, Waterbury Center, Vt. Ambassador Mortuary Service, Oldsmar.

HOFFMAN, WILLIAM C., 89, of Seminole, died Friday (March 15, 2002) at Seminole Nursing Pavilion. Born in West Friendship, Md., he came here in 1980 from Catonsville, Md. He was a budget officer for the Defense Department and an Army Air Forces veteran of World War II. Survivors include a nephew, Ronald R., West Friendship; and a niece, Elza Hurst, Sharpsburg, Md. E. James Reese Funeral Home & Crematory, Seminole.

CLARIZIO, FELICIA R., 86, of Clearwater Beach, died Monday (Jan. 29, 2001) at Sabal Palms Health Care Center, Largo. She was born in New York City and came here in 1978 from Belleville, N.J. She was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Brendan Catholic Church and the Clearwater Point Homeowner's Association, both of Clearwater, the Italian American Club, Newark, N.J., and Holy Family Catholic Church, Belleville. Survivors include her husband, Vincenzo; a son, Otto, Palm Harbor; two sisters, Frances Cznydal, Port Richey, and Mary Charkas, Long Island, N.Y.; five grandchildren, Anthony Clarizio, Gainesville, Dr. Dana Harman, Boca Raton, and Christopher and Vincent Clarizio and Lorie Ann Phillips, all of Columbus, Ohio; and nine great-grandchildren. National Cremation Society, Largo.

LEAVEL, HELEN M., 90, of Clearwater, died Tuesday (Jan. 30, 2001) at Homewood ACLF, Clearwater. She was born in Morris, Ill., and came here in 1977 from New Haven, Ind. She was a beautician and homemaker. She was a member of Heritage United Methodist Church of Clearwater, and the Briar Creek Association. Survivors include a daughter, Linda R. Roth, New Haven; four grandchildren, Wendy Groves, Paulding, Ohio, Amy Jackson, Fort Wayne, Ind., and Eric and Julie Haas, both of Lansing, Mich.; and two great-grandsons. Curlew Hills Funeral Home, Palm Harbor.

BULKELEY, JOSEPH WARREN, 85, of Clearwater, formerly of Pinellas Park, died Tuesday (March 12, 2002) at the VA Medical Center at Bay Pines. He was born in Ayer, Mass., and came here in 1975 from North Chelmsford, Mass. He worked as a clerk for the federal government. He was an Army veteran of World War II, a prisoner of war and a recipient of the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. He was a journalism graduate of Suffolk University, Boston. His memberships included St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, Largo, Moose Lodge 1030, Knights of Columbus, Msgr. Thomas A. Colreavy Council 3850, Clearwater, "B" Co. 61st AIB, 10th Armored Division and Clearwater Chapter 259 National As-sociation of Retired Federal Employees. He was a lifetime member of the Veterans of the Battle of the Bulge. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Louise. Moss-Feaster Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, Belcher Road Chapel, Clearwater.

GOLUBICK, ELSIE C., 91, of Largo, died Thursday (March 14, 2002) at Largo Medical Center. She was born in Chicago and came here in 1990 from Gary, Ind. She was a retired secretary for a fuel company. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Pinellas Park. Survivors include a daughter, Dolores Finn, Largo; a brother, Charles Kupres, Gary; a grandson, Dr. Charles Chase, Winter Park; and a great-grandson. Lewis W. Mohn Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Seminole.

JOYCE, MARIE F., 93, of Largo, died Wednesday (March 13, 2002) at Hospice House of Palm Beach County. She was born in Newark, N.J., and came here in 1964 from Venice, Fla. She was a retired medical secretary and had worked for Suncoast Internal Medicine, Largo. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Largo, and its Women's Guild. She was a eucharistic minister and a volunteer with other church ministries. Survivors include six grandchildren, Randy Ware, Largo, Mark Joyce, North Palm Beach area, Christine E. Hamacher, Palm Harbor, Deborah Pollereys, Denise Huchet and Katie Teague, all North Palm Beach area. Moss-Feaster Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, Serenity Gardens Chapel, Largo.

TURSI, MARY M., 82, of Largo, died Tuesday (March 12, 2002) at home under the care of Hospice of the Florida Suncoast. She was born in Portland, Maine, and came here in 1967 from Bangor, Maine. She was an elementary school teacher and worked as a remedial reading specialist for the Pinellas County school system from 1968 to 1983. She taught at Tarpon Springs, Ponce de Leon, Largo and Largo Central elementary schools. She had a master's degree from the University of Maine. She was a volunteer coordinator for the Largo Cultural Center and a volunteer for 19 years at Largo Parks and Recreation Department. She attended Christ Community Presbyterian Church. Survivors include her husband of 29 years, Francis V.; four daughters, Linda Read, Madeira Beach, Marsha E. Mygatt, New Bern, N.C., Debora L. Pehrson, Austin, Minn. and Kathleen E. Phelan, Cheyenne, Wyo.; three stepsons, Francis V. Jr., Whitehall, Jamaica, Wayne J., Windsor, Conn., and Vincent J., Tollan, Conn.; a sister, Marjorie Schmidt, Cape May, N.J.; 14 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. BROOKS, ELEANOR M. "ELLIE," 89, of St. Petersburg, died Thursday (March 14, 2002) at St. Petersburg General Hospital. Born in Boston, she came here in 1982 from Waltham, Mass. A secretary for John Hancock Insurance Co., Boston, she was a past president of the Massachusetts Club of St. Petersburg and a member of the Hancock Club. She enjoyed dancing and traveling. She was a member of St. Raphael's Catholic Church. Survivors include a daughter, Jane A. Koenig, Boston; three sons, John G. Curley, Largo, Joseph W. Curley, Winchendon, Mass., and James E. Curley, Seminole, 10 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and a nephew, Richard A. Roge, Brooksville. FISHER, REBECCA ANN, infant daughter of Peggy Morrissey and Joseph Fisher, of St. Petersburg, died Tuesday (March 12, 2002). Other survivors include two brothers, Daniel James Morrissey and Justin Lee Fisher, both of St. Petersburg; and her maternal grandmother, Wanda Baker, Clearwater. HILLIKER, ORIN E., 66, of St. Petersburg, died Wednesday (March 13, 2002) at Bayfront Medical Center. He came here in 1967 from his native Rouses Point, N.Y. He was an Army veteran and a member of American Legion Andy Anderson Post 125 in Gulfport. Survivors include a stepdaughter, Diana White, Gulfport; a stepson, Richard Oster, Goose Creek, S.C.; six sisters, Myrtle Thornhill, Zephyrhills, June Upton and Doris Cooper, both of Rouses Point, Pauline Numley and Ann Doming, both of Edgewater, and Beatrice Ducharme, Champlain, N.Y.; and two grandchildren. Gulfport Memorial Funeral Home.

MANNERBERG, SHULTZ EINNER JR., 65, of Brooksville, formerly of St. Petersburg, died Monday (March 11, 2002) at Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg. Born in Warren, Mich., he moved to Brooksville two years ago from St. Petersburg. He was a retired press operator for Detroit Edison. He was an Air Force veteran and Episcopal. Survivors include a caregiver, Ernest Barton. Merritt Funeral Home, Spring Hill.

MOREHOUSE, EDWARD, 82, of St. Petersburg, died Friday (March 15, 2002) at Kindred Hospital Bay Area - St. Petersburg. Born in Belleville, N.J., he came here in 1985 from Parsippany, N.J. He worked in paint sales and was a member of Isla Del Sol Golf and Country Club. He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Dena; two sons, Edward Jr., Old Bridge, N.J., and Ronald A., Long Valley, N.J.; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. PHILLIPS, WILLIAM E. SR. "BILL," 83, of Seminole, died Thursday (March 14, 2002) of complications from diabetes. He was born in Shreveport, La. He received athletic scholarships at Centenary College and Arkansas State Teachers College. He received a master's degree in school administration and supervision from Vanderbilt University and did postgraduate work at the University of Florida. He was a former principal at Belleair Elementary for 11 years and at other local elementary schools. He helped develop a statewide social studies curriculum in the 1950s. He was a former city council member and vice mayor of Titusville. He was a member of Seminole United Methodist Church, Belleview Biltmore Golf and Country Club, Phi Delta Kappa and Friends of the Seminole Library. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Dorothy; a son, William E. Jr., Hawthorne Woods, Ill.; a daughter, Jamie K. Stone, Seminole; and two granddaughters. Lewis W. Mohn Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Seminole.

ABLES, TODD WESLEE, 33, of New Port Richey, died Sunday (April 21, 2002) at home. Born in Columbus, Ohio, he came here 18 months ago from Auburn, Ind. He was a self-employed audio/video technician with TNT Audio Video Co. and was an Army veteran. He was Methodist. Survivors include his wife, Susan R.; two sons, Jesse T. and Jamie M., both of Fort Wayne, Ind.; his parents, Phillips and Barbara, Grabill, Ind.; a brother, David, Fort Wayne; and a sister, Theresa Muncie, Spencerville, Ind. Michels & Lundquist Funeral Home, New Port Richey.

BARRATT, HARLAN A., 93, of New Port Richey, died Wednesday (April 24, 2002) at Community Hospital of New Port Richey. He came here 28 years ago from his native Wilmington, Del. He was a retired engineer in the chemical manufacturing business. He was past master of F&AM Lodge 27 and scout master with Boy Scout Troop 19, both in Wilmington. He was a member of Community United Methodist Church of New Port Richey. Survivors include two sons, James DeLancy, Texas, and David DeLancy, Wilmington; a daughter, Susan Joyce, California; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Morgan Funeral Home, New Port Richey.
