Donald H. Hilborne
Donald H. Hilborne, age 96, of Wildwood, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2009. Donald moved to the area in 1970 from Heuvelton, N.Y. He was a U.S. Army veteran, a Methodist and a member of Masonic Lodge No. 573 in DePeyster, N.Y., and Carpenters Union No. 747 in New York. Donald had a love for NASCAR, reading and telling stories. He is survived by four sons, Dean (Roseanne) of Wildwood, Kenneth (Rita) of Ogdensburg, N.Y., Robert Brabant of DePeyster, N.Y. and Richard (Jackie) Brabant of Pierre Pont, N.Y.; five daughters, Dianna (Clyde) Solomon of Ontario, Canada, Gloria (Roy) Bice, Doreen (Rick) Shattuck, Geraldine Montroy and Keitha (Bill) Tupper all of Ogdensburg, N.Y.; two sisters, Gloria Bifulco of Spring Hill, and JoAnn Crowder of California; 30 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his long time companion, Helen; two brothers, Clarence and Reginald; one sister, Doris Richer and one son, Donald of New York. Visitation will be held from 2-6 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 22, 2009 at Banks/Page-Theus Funeral Chapel. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Monday, Feb. 23, 2009 at Banks/Page-Theus Funeral Chapel and Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions be made to: Victory Junction Gang Camp, 4500 Adams Way, Randleman, NC 27317 or you may phone donations to 336-498-9055. Richard (Dick) Kenneth Lasher
Richard (Dick) Kenneth Lasher, 78, died on Thursday, Feb. 19, 2009. Dick was born in Lyons, N.Y. He served four years in the U.S. Navy. He moved his family to Okahumpka in 1963. Dick bought a dairy farm and in 1963 started Lasher Feeds. He supported the 4-H and FFA youth in Sumter, Lake and Volusia Counties. Dick served on the Lake County Fair Board for many years. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and sang in their choir. His favorite past time was watching his grandchildren participate in sports and going to the Gator football games. He is survived by his three daughters, Cynthia Hope Lasher of Leesburg, Dianne Faith (Will) Cogburn of Venice, Alayne Charity Lasher (Jeff) of Huntsville, Ala.; sister, Dorothy Schlee of Lyons, N.Y.; brother, William Lasher of Lyons, N.Y.; seven grandchildren, Tyler and Lashlee Morris, Mark, Brian and Megan Cogburn and Richard and Nick Constantine. There will be a private service for the immediate family due to the recent loss of their mother. In late honor of their father, the Lake House, 1616 Loves Point Drive, Leesburg, will be open for friends and family today, Saturday, Feb. 21, 2009 from 3 -6 p.m. Come and celebrate his life and wear orange and blue. Memorials may be made to: Okahumpka 4-H Club, c/o Jacky Atchley, P.O. Box 207, Okahumpka, FL 34762. Beyers Funeral Home and Crematory Leesburg, in charge of arrangements.

Bobby Herman Inscoe
Bobby Herman Inscoe, 77, died Saturday, February 21, 2009 at LRMC in Leesburg, FL. Mr. Inscoe was born January 12, 1932 in Henderson, NC to the late Ira H. Inscoe, Sr., and Eva Davis Inscoe. Preceding him in death was one brother Ira Hunter Inscoe, Jr. He was a painting contractor for many years in Henderson until his move to Fl where he worked for several banks until his retirement. He also retired with 21 years of service in the North Carolina National Guard, Company C of Henderson, NC. He attended Leesburg First Assembly of God Church. Surviving is his wife of 57 years, Drucilla Suggs Inscoe, daughter, Darlene I. Viverette and husband Leone, 3 nephews Rev. Rodney Inscoe and wife Dorothy, Dickie Inscoe and David Inscoe and wife Joanie. A memorial Celebration of his life will be held at Beyers Funeral Home, Leesburg, FL on Wednesday, February 25, 2009, at 11:00 AM. The Reverends' Rick Welboune and Dennis Langford officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday, February 24, 2009 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers the family has suggested memorials be made to Leesburg First Assembly of God Church, 04001 Picciola Rd, Fruitland Park, FL 34731 or Covenant Life Church of God, P.O. Box 310, Fruitland Park, FL 34731. Arrangements have been entrusted to Beyers Funeral Home & Crematory, Leesburg, FL.

Thomas W. "Bill" Bottomley
Thomas W. "Bill" Bottomley, age 82, of Fruitland Park, went to his heavenly home on Monday, Feb. 23, 2009. He was born in Ferndale, Mich., moved to Dade City, Fla., in 1950 and to this area in 1959. He was a WWII veteran of the U.S. Navy and U.S. Air Force, head of LRMC maintenance department for seven years and later retired from the U.S. Post Office in Eustis as a postal carrier. Bill leaves the following message with us: "When our life on Earth ends, eternal life begins - to know Jesus Christ is to spend eternity with Him". Bill is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Billie, many nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Visitation will be Thursday, Feb. 26, 2009 from 6-8 p.m. at Banks/Page-Theus Funeral Chapel in Wildwood. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Feb. 27, 2009 at Trinity Assembly of God in Fruitland Park, where he was an active and long time member. Interment will follow at Shiloh Cemetery, Fruitland Park. Memorial contributions may be made to: Trinity Assembly of God, 200 Urick St., Fruitland Park, FL 34731. Antonia J. Chrysanthopoulos, 73, of Fruitland Park, died Thursday, Feb. 19, 2009. She was born June 10, 1935 in Piraeus, Greece. She moved to Fruitland Park from Chicago, Ill., in 1998. She is survived by her husband, Antonios Chrysanthopoulos of Fruitland Park; daughters, Mary Cunningham of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Colyn Bonynge of Lady Lake; five grandchildren, Forrest of Fort Wayne, Ind., Cody and Adam of Lady Lake, Chris and Jacob of Gainesville; and a sister, Nitsa Samartzopoulou of Piraeus, Greece. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, North Central Florida Area, 237 East Market Street, Orlando, FL 32803. Anthony Raymond Quiroz Davis "Cack", 19, of Tavares, passed away Saturday, March 14, 2009. Anthony was born Jan. 28, 1990 in Canton, Ohio. He was a graduate of Tavares High School, class of 2008. He loved sports, playing video games and riding his motorcycle. He was loved and will be missed. Anthony is survived by his brother, Alfonso; sister, Angela; grandmother/mother, Annette; biological mother, Kelly; Aunt Deana; cousins, Amber, Nicholas, Dominic and Leigh; and the girl he loved, Mariah. Edwards, Christy J. Edwards and Christopher S. Smith; six great-grandchildren and daughter-in-law, Judy J. Edwards. She was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Edwards; and two sons, Steven and Stan Edwards. Family will be returning home to Oklahoma City for burial at a later date.
