Ada Rust
March 17, 1924 - May 20, 2010

Mrs. Ada Lorene Rust, passed away on Thursday, May 20th, 2010 at the age of 86. She was born in North Carolina and moved to the central Florida area in 1958 from Georgia. Ada was Lutheran by faith and was a member of the Mount Dora Moose Lodge Women’s Auxiliary. She loved doing crafts and taking care of her loving family.

Ada was preceded in death by her husband, Noah Webster Rust in 1965; 2 sons, Anthony and Timothy Rust; daughter, Joyce Lasko; sisters, Mary Padgett, Kathleen Bost, Mozzelle Poplin, and Helen Fagert and brothers, Charles Bost, Jessie Kyle Bost and Cecil Vernon Bost. Survivors include her children, Steve Rust of Umatilla, FL, Danny Rust of Summerfield, FL, Patricia Gregory of Leesburg, FL, Juanita Payne of Umatilla, and Judy (Joe) Davenport of Weirsdale, FL; brother, Harold Bost of Peachtree City, GA; sister, Martha Powers of Lincolnton, NC; as well as 22 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.

Services were in North Carolina through Lynn-Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove (704-857-2401). Arrangements were entrusted to Hamlin & Hilbish Funeral Directors, Eustis, FL, 352-357-4193.

Linna B. Fielder
February 25, 1920 - May 21, 2010

Linna B. Fielder 90, of Canton, Michigan passed away on Friday May 21, 2010. She was born in Maumee, Ohio moved to Canton from Eustis in 2005. She was a member of the Eastern Star Chapter of Mount Dora and the Eustis Moose Lodge.

Mrs. Fielder is survived by three children, Kendall (Sandra) Fielder of Holland, Ohio, Linna (Robert) Felser of Sylvania, Ohio and Barbara (Charles) Kallil of Canton, Michigan. She was predeceased by her husband Gene in 2004 and her son Dennis.

A visitation was held in the Hamlin & Hilbish Chapel from 4 until 7 PM on Thursday May 27, 2010. Funeral services were held in the Chapel on Friday, May 28,2010, at 10 AM. Interment followed in Lakeside Memory Gardens, Eustis.

Wallace F. Struck
September 21, 1924 - May 21, 2010

Wallace F. Struck, 85 of Mount Dora passed away in Tavares on May 21, 2010. He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and moved to this area in 1984. He was retired after 38 years of service from the Automotive Division of DuPont. Mr. Struck was a member of St. Philips Lutheran Church of Mount Dora, a Veteran having served in the U.S. Army during WWII, a member of Eustis Lodge 1578 B.P.O.E., the Eustis Moose Lodge, the Am Vets Post of Mount Dora, V.F.W. Post 8087 of Eustis and the American Legion of Mount Dora.

He is survived by his wife Martha, brother Ralph Struck of Kingsport, Tennessee, sister Barbara Baehring of Cedarburg, Wisconsin and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial Services will be held in St. Philip Lutheran Church of Mount Dora on Thursday, June 3, 2010, at 10:30 A.M. Interment with Military Honors will be held in Union Grove Memorial cemetery in Union Grove, Wisconsin, on Friday, June 11, 2010 at 11 A.M. In lieu of flowers please direct memorials to: Eustis Lodge 1578 B.P.O.E., PO Box 1660, Eustis, FL 32727.

Margaret M. Fortier
November 23, 1923 - May 22, 2010

Margaret M. Fortier, 86, of Eustis, passed away on Saturday, May 22, 2010. She was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and moved to the Umatilla – Eustis area in 1980. Mrs. Fortier was a Lutheran and was retired from the United States Postal Service.

She is survived by her children, Margaret (Victor) Arriola of Cheboygan, Michigan; Barbara (Dennis) Whittinghill of Ocala; and Carol (Kenneth) Hart of Umatilla. Her grandchildren, Joyce Marks of Margate; Christine Mapp of Tavares; Donna DeSantis of Warrick, Rhode Island; Michael and Kimberly Hart of Umatilla. Her great-grandchildren, Megan and Mandy Mapp; Ashley and Josh DeSantis; Devin Marks; Brandon and William Hawley; Michael, Aubrey and Lacey Hart; Christian, Madison and Michaela West; and Cameron Franks.

Friends called in the Hamlin & Hilbish Chapel on Friday, May 28, 2010 from 5-7 PM. Services were held in the Chapel on Saturday, May 29, 2010 at 11 O’clock AM. Rev. Ronald E. Holder officiated. Interment followed at the Umatilla cemetery Annex.

Earla Sue Bonsal
April 18, 1939 - May 24, 2010

Mrs. Earla Sue Bonsal, of Eustis, passed away on Monday, May 24, 2010 at the age of 71 years. She was born in Eustis and lived here most of her life. She was Methodist by faith.

Earla Sue is survived by her husband of 25 years, George; daughters, Tracey Hastings of St. Augustine, FL and Mardi Saalfield of Flagler Beach, FL; step-children, Darren Bonsal of Titusville, FL, Justine Brittian of Leesburg and Michael Bonsal of Mount Dora, FL; as well as 6 grandchildren.

At the request of the family Mrs. Bonsal will be cremated. Arrangements are entrusted to Hamlin & Hilbish Funeral Directors, Eustis, 352-357-4193.

Bennie J. Szatalski
December 14, 1917 - May 26, 2010

Bennie J. Szatalski 92, of Eustis passed away on Wednesday, May 26, 2010. He was born in Green Island, New York and moved here from Indiantown, Florida in 2007. He was a retired manager in the Heating and Air Conditioning business and a Veteran having served in the U.S. Army during WWII.

He is survived by his wife Dorothy, his daughters, Kathleen (Richard) Bonnette of Rockledge, Florida and Lynn (Michael) Kilfoyle of Mount Dora, Florida, four grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Mary Elizabeth White
June 6, 1937 - May 30, 2010

Mary Elizabeth White, 72, of Altoona, passed away on Sunday, May 30, 2010. She was a secretary at Lake Technical Center in Eustis for many years and enjoyed Scrap Booking.

Mary was predeceased by her parents, Bill & Janet Williams. She is survived by her husband, Russell and her children, Steven, Michael and Kathy. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.

Kay Marie Vaughn
June 4, 2010

Kay Marie Vaughn 69, of Sorrento passed away in Ocala on Friday June 4, 2010. She was born in Hillsdale, Michigan and moved here with her husband Frank in 1972. She was Methodist.

She was predeceased by her husband in 2003 and is survived by her children; Scott (Kelly) Vaughn of Mt. Plymouth, Vicki (Keith) Dennis of Monterey, Tennessee and Jennifer (Bo) Gandy of Sorrento, four grandchildren and one great-grandson.

The family requests those desiring direct memorials to Toys for Tots or the American Cancer Society.

James B. Hooten III
January 27, 1913 - June 10, 2010

James B. Hooten III 97, of Mount Dora passed away on Thursday, June 10, 2010. He was born in Little Washington, North Carolina and moved here form Alexandria, Virginia in March of this year. Mr. Hooten was a retired Clerk with the United States Postal Service and a Veteran having served in the U. S. Army during WWII.

He was predeceased by his wife Grace in 2005 and is survived by his daughter Doris (James L.) Barrell of Grand Island, two granddaughters, four great-granddaughters and his brother Roy Hooten of Lanham, Maryland.

Robert "Bob" Douglas Jacques, Jr.
July 7, 1979 - June 10, 2010

Robert "Bob" Douglas Jacques Jr. 30, of Eustis, passed away on Thursday June 10, 2010. He was born in Deland, made Eustis his home and attended Eustis Schools. He was a customer service representative in the telecommunications industry.

Bob is survived by his wife Stacy Lynn, his cat Fuzz, his mother Sandra Griffis Jacques of Eustis, his brothers Douglas Gene Jacques and Robert Darren (Janice) Jacques all of Jacksonville, his sisters Debra Jean (Glen) Durham of Jacksonville and Lori Lynn (Samuel) Bumgardner of Eustis.

There was a gathering in the Hamlin & Hilbish Chapel on Saturday, June 19, 2010 from 2 until 4 PM. Friends shared their memories about Bob.

Rubye W. Miller
February 23, 1916 - June 11, 2010

Rubye W. Miller 94 of Eustis passed away on Friday June 11, 2010. She was born in Decatur, Alabama and moved to Eustis in 1935 from Leesburg. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Eustis; the Eustis Women’s Club, a graduate of Leesburg High School and was retired from the City Of Eustis as the Utility Department Manager.

Mrs. Miller was predeceased by her husband Ansil in 2002 and her son Dan in 2001. She is survived by her daughter Marilyn (George) White of Mount Dora, her grandchildren; Robert D. White of Mount Dora, George J. White III of Atlanta, Tracy Miller Frazier and Ansil D. Miller IV both of Brooksville and four great-grandchildren.

Services were held in the First Presbyterian Church of Eustis Monday, June 14, 2010. Rev. Leon Bloder officiated. A private interment was held in Greenwood Cemetery, Eustis. Grace Kemp Tomlinson
February 7, 1934 - June 11, 2010

Grace Kemp Tomlinson 76 of Umatilla passed away in Orlando on Friday June 11, 2010. She was born in Groveland and moved to Umatilla from Edgewater in 2002. Mrs. Tomlinson was a Baptist and a former Supervisor for Shop and Go stores.

She is survived by her daughters; Brenda Epperson (Buddy) Atkins of Mount Dora and Grace Epperson (Steve) Allen of Groveland, five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A private service was held at the Hamlin & Hilbish Chapel in Eustis. Those desiring may direct memorials to Cornerstone Hospice.

Gertrude A. Lucksho
June 23, 2010

Ms. Gertrude A. Lucksho, 87 of Eustis passed away on Wednesday June 23, 2010. She was born in Little Neck, New York and moved here in 1977 from Hollywood, Florida. Ms. Lucksho was a retired Supervisor for Southern Bell Telephone Company, a member of Saint Mary of the Lakes Catholic Church of Eustis, a member of the Telephone Pioneers and worked with the Lift program.

She is survived by a niece Francesann Tanasovsky.

Services were held in St. Mary of the Lakes Catholic Church at 9 AM Friday, June 25, 2010. Interment was in Lakeside Memory Gardens, Eustis.

George Moye Battle
June 15, 1922 - June 27, 2010

George Moye Battle, 88 of Mount Dora passed away at his home on Sunday, June 27, 2010. He was born in Fort Meade, Florida and has lived in central Florida his entire life. Mr. Battle served in the United States Navy as a Lt. Commander serving in both World War II and Korea.

He was preceded in death by his wife Jacqueline C. Battle. He is survived by his daughters Marsha B. Hastings of Mount Dora; Betty R. Battle of Mount Dora; Teresa Gard of Daytona Beach, three Sisters in Laws Sharyn K. Clower, Betty Lombardi and Joyce Woodard, his niece Mary Sue Stephenson, eight grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Services were held at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, Eustis at 11 AM on Thursday, July 1, 2010. Interment followed in Greenwood Cemetery, Eustis.

Thomas M. DeCloedt
May 20, 1964 - July 3, 2010

Thomas M. DeCloedt, 46, of Leesburg passed away on July 3, 2010. He was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan and lived here all his life. He worked in the television communication industry and was an Episcopalian.

Thomas is survived by his mother Dawn Macafee of Leesburg; father David DeCloedt of Medford, Oregon, brother Troy DeCloedt of Kissimmee, and his aunt Mary Ryan of Howey in the Hills.
