Kenneth Moore, 65, Inglis, died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2001, in Crystal River.

Born May 16, 1936, in Irvine, Ky., to Sylvester and Rena Moore, he came here five years ago from there.

Mr. Moore was a retired security driver for Purelator Corp. of Louisville, Ky. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a member of the First Pentecostal Church of Inglis and a member of the American Legion Post No. 79 in Irvine, Ky.

Surviving are his wife, Nancy O. Moore; five sons, Tommy Bowling of Yankeetown, John Bowling of Deputy, Ind., Nicki Bowling of Austin, Ind., Gene White of Eddyville, Ky., and Kenneth Wayne Moore of Lexington, Ky.; three daughters, Debbie Abney Moore of Irvine, Ky., Angie Campbell of Deputy, Ind., and Martha Bowling of Yankeetown; two brothers, Lamoin Moore of Orlando and Lavon Moore of Cleveland, Ohio; two sisters, Cliffie Walling of Cartersville, Ga., and Norma Johnson of Louisville, Ky.; and 10 grandchildren.

Helen Pfeiffer, 90 Inverness

Helen Pfeiffer, 90, Inverness, died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2001, in Hernando.

A native of Germany, she was born Dec. 14, 1910, and came to this area in 1997 from New York City, N.Y.

She was a department store cashier and a member of the Storeworkers Union in New York City.

She was widowed.

Surviving are two sisters, Wilma (Anton) Leins of Inverness and Anni (Roberto) Alberti of Germany; and two nieces, Audrey Paliotti of Trumansburg, N.Y., and Diane Leins of Inverness. Hooper Funeral Home, Inverness.

Joseph Stark, 82 Homosassa

Joseph Carl Stark, 82, Homosassa, died Monday, Dec. 3, 2001, in Crystal River.

He was born March 18, 1919, in Sunbury, Ohio, to Joseph C. and Florence E. (Pierce) Stark. He came here from Ashtabula, Ohio, 20 years ago.

Mr. Stark was a retired power plant chief engineer. He was past master and past chaplain of Rising Sun Masonic Lodge No. 22 in Ashtabula, Ohio and served three terms as city councilman wards for the city of Ashtabula, Ohio.

He was a member of Crystal River First Presbyterian Church. He was preceded in death by a son, Allen Stark.

Surviving are his wife, Blanche I. (Russell) Stark of Homosassa; two sons, Joseph C. Stark of Homosassa and Arthur Stark of Erie, Pa.; one daughter, Patricia Stark of Fayetteville, N.C.; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Roger Grenier, 60 Floral City

Roger P. Grenier, 60, Floral City, died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2001.

He was born April 29, 1941, in Woodsville, N.H., to Leo and Anne (Gadbois) Grenier and came here in 1997 from Claremont, N.H.

Mr. Grenier was a retired sophomore English teacher at Stevens High School, Claremont, with 30 years of service. He started the C.A.P. program at Stevens High School.

He is survived by his sister, Yvonne C. Come of Claremont, N.H.; one nephew, Charles Come Jr. of Claremont, N.H.; three nieces, Debra Lathrop of Alstead, N.H., Linda Perron and Leslie Minckler, both of Claremont, N.H.; and 11 grand nieces and nephews.

Tony Hobson, 39 Homosassa

Tony G. Hobson, 39, Homosassa, died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2001, in Homosassa due to an automobile accident.

He was born Jan. 3, 1962, in Holly Springs, Miss. He was a commercial fisherman.

He was a member of Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Stephanie Hobson, and his father, Robert Lee Hobson.

Survivors include his mother, Geraldine Worley of Collierville, Tenn.; his son, Tony Glenn Hobson Jr. of Arkansas; a brother, Ricky Lee Hobson of Collierville, Tenn.; and a sister, Tina Renee Williams of Homosassa.

Holly Springs Funeral Home, Holly Springs, Miss., is in charge of funeral arrangements.

James Lewis, 90 Inverness

James W. Lewis, 90, Inverness, died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2001, in Inverness.

He was born June 12, 1911, in Plymouth, Pa., to Wesley and Cora Lewis. He came here in 1975 from Opa Locka.

Mr. Lewis retired in 1975 as toll supervisor of Venetian Causeway.

He was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran. He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 463, Plymouth, Pa. He was a 50-year member of Citrus Masonic Lodge No. 118 F&AM, Inverness; Ocala Consistory Scottish Rite; Royal Order of Scotland; Egypt Shrine Temple; Citrus Shrine Club and Tall Cedars of Lebanan Knights of Pythias.

He was a member of Inverness First Presbyterian Church. Surviving are his wife of 43 years, Marjorie Emma Ward Lewis of Inverness; a niece, Beverly Hatton of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and many great nieces and nephews.

Susan McClintock, 88 Crystal River

Susan McClintock, 88, Crystal River, died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2001, at the Crystal River Health and Rehabilitation Center in Crystal River.

Born Dec. 19, 1912, in Pottstown, Pa., to William and Dora (Kelley) Hoberg, she came to this area five years ago from Largo.

She was a retired restaurant owner.

She was Catholic.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Noble McClintock, March 28, 1986, and by her daughter, Susan Breslin, Nov. 10, 1996.

She is survived by three grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Sallie Turner, 94 Crystal River

Sallie Jones Turner, 94, Crystal River, died Friday morning, Dec. 7, 2001, at the Crystal River Health and Rehabilitation Center in Crystal River.

Mrs. Turner was born April 12, 1907, in Dixie County, Florida, to Joseph and Stella (Arline) Jones, and was a lifelong resident of the area.

She was a homemaker, a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed sewing.

She was a member of the Crystal River Church of God.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Newton Turner, Dec. 3, 1974, and grandson, George Kipp, Jan. 8, 1991.

Survivors include daughters Ann Meyers of Seffner, Genevieve Wilson of Crystal River, Gloria Tiede of Clearwater and Francis Gonzalas of Tampa; a brother, Bill Jones of Inglis; sisters, Hazel Jones of Crystal River and Olive Yeomans of Mashon, Ga.; a sister-in-law, Frances Jones of Crystal River; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter and many nieces and nephews.

Dorothy Weldon, 72 Inverness

Dorothy May Weldon, 72, Inverness, died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2001, at her residence.

Born Jan. 11, 1929, in Emaus, Pa., to the late Charles and Carrie (Folk) Erich, she came here more than eight years ago from Clemeton, N.J.

Mrs. Weldon was a retired waitress.

She was Methodist.

Surviving are two sons, Wayne Weldon of Ocala and Robert Weldon of Harriman, N.Y.; two daughters, Linda Mangini of Inverness and Doreen Curran of Gloucester, N.J.; one brother, Leroy Leiser of Claymont, Del.; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Pauline ‘Polly’ Ishmael, 92 Ocala

Pauline H. “Polly” Ishmael, 92, Ocala, died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2001, at Estelle’s House, Ocala.

Formerly of Dunnellon, she was born in Philadelphia, and came her five years ago from Norcross, Ga.

She was a sales clerk for Kay Jewelers in Jacksonville in the 1940s and 1950s. Later, she and her husband owned Ishmael’s Antique Shop in Centerville, Va., for 16 years. She retired in 1987.

She attended Dunnellon Presbyterian Church, Dunnellon. Ishmael was a self-taught artist with a natural ability for sketching. She also had a lifelong love of embroidery, crocheting, knitting and crewel. For years, she knitted baby caps and booties for the newborn infants at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta.

Survivors include a son, Hughes William Ishmael Jr. of Stafford, Va.; three daughters, Frances Y. Hellwig of Sterling, Va., Barbara I. West of Dunnellon and Helen T. Tobin of On Top of the World in Ocala; a brother, Sanford D’Englere of Atlanta; three sisters, Selma Rosenthal and Freda Herman, both of Atlanta, and Jean Goldstein of Indianapolis; and 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Hospice of Marion County, P.O. Box 4860, Ocala, FL 34478-4860.

Nina Nikkole Pucillo, 10 months, Homosassa, died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2001, at Seven Rivers Community Hospital, Crystal River.

Born Jan. 30, 2001, in Kissimmee, she came here from St. Cloud in September 2001.

She was a member of St. Benedict’s Catholic Church, Crystal River.

Survivors include her parents, Clementina and Jon E. Pucillo; three brothers, Nicolas M. Fuentes of Homosassa, Jon E.

Pucillo Jr. of West Palm Beach and Christopher J. Pucillo of North Carolina; paternal grandparents, Denver Causey and Carol VanLiew, of Davie; maternal grandmother, Clementina F. Mendez of Miramar; maternal great-grandmother, Clementina Mendez of Rockledge. Also surviving are several aunts, uncles and cousins, including Jerry Pucillo of Davie; Avi and Patty Sharby and their children, Shaina and Shawn, all of Pembrook Pines; David and Linda Green and their children, Meagan and Calvin, all of Plantation; Bob and Tonia Green and their children, Damian and Johnathon, all of Weston; Joseph Fuentes of Hollywood; Delfina P. Cardoso of Miramar; and uncle Jon and aunt Shaire and their son, Jeffery, all of Dunnellon.
