ALFRED R. BERGER, 78, of New Port Richey died Thursday at Harborside Healthcare Palm Harbor. A native of Adams, Mass., he moved to this area 18 years ago from Glenside, Pa. He was a retired painter and carpenter, a member of First Lutheran Church in New Port Richey, a troop leader for the Boy Scouts of America, and member of the Order of the Arrow. He is survived by his wife, Marie; a son, Richard of Abbington, Pa.; three daughters, Barbara Goerlich of Willingboro, N.J., Nancy Concepcion of Philadelphia, and Anita Ehly of Tampa; a brother, Walter P. of Novato, Calif.; nine grandchildren; and one great- grandchild. GEORGE RAYMOND BOSWORTH, 80, of New Port Richey died Wednesay at Munroe Regional Hospital in Ocala. He moved to this area 15 years ago from his native Washington , Pa. He was a retired machinist for the Washington Steel Corp., a Navy veteran of World War II, member of First Baptist Church in Washington , and the Model Airplane Builders in Pittsburgh. He is survived by his wife, Bette K.; a daughter, Betsie B. Smith of Little River, S.C.; three grandchildren; and one great-grandson. National Cremation Society, Holiday.

CARROLL " BILL" W. CORWIN Jr., 62, of Holiday died Thursday at Columbia Regional Medical Center at Bayonet Point. A native of Corning, N.Y., he moved to this area 20 years ago from Lawrenceville, Pa. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force, having served in the Korean and Vietnam wars, was a customer service employee for Publix in Holiday, and member of the First Baptist Church of Elfers. He is survived by his wife, Beverly J.; two sons, George of New Port Richey, and Joseph of Spring Hill; three daughters, Anna Marie Black of Salem, Ohio, Teresa L. Nelson of Racine, Wis., and Juanita R. of Holiday; his father and stepmother, Carroll Sr. and Mildred of New Port Richey; two sisters, Beverly J. Shoup of Lawrenceville, Pa., and Betty Assidabadi of Sacramento, Calif.; and one grandson. Dobies Funeral Home, Bartelt Road, Holiday.
