Michael Moschuk, 85 Inverness

Michael Moschuk, 85, Inverness, died Sunday, Nov. 25, 2001, at his home with his grandson Kurt T. Hammel and wife Pamela Hammel in Wolcott, Vt.

He was born Jan. 14, 1916, in Newark, N.J., to Jan and Antonia Moschuk. He came here in 1975 from Edison, N.J.. He retired from the RCA Space Program with 14 years of service while living in New jersey. After moving to Inverness, he was employed as a grounds keeper with the Citrus County School System and retired with 15 years of service.

He was in the U.S. Coast Guard as a Seaman First Class during World War II. He had a passion for golfing and bowling. He was a Presbyterian and a member of the Presbyterian Church of Inverness.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 50 years Jennie Moschuk on Aug. 30, 2000.

He is survived by his two sons, Charles F. Hammel of Temecula, Calif.; and Thomas Hammel of Hollywood, Fla.; and five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Ronald Eugene Patton, 55, Homosassa, died Friday, Dec. 7, 2001, in Homosassa.

He was born Jan. 29, 1946, in Springfield, Ohio, to Lester Black and Ella Marie Patton.

He came here in 1970 from Springfield.

He was a salesman. He was a member of Crime Watch.

He was a Protestant.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ella Marie Cooper, and one brother, Donald Wedgeworth.

He is survived by his two daughters, Cammie (Kenneth) Littleton and Leslie Lynn Stone both of Lucasville, Ohio; and four grandchildren, Jillian, Kyle, Brittany and Danielle, four step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.

Henry Anthony Provo Sr., 56, Inverness, died Monday, Dec. 10, 2001, at his home.

He was born May 12, 1945 in Detroit, Mich.

He came here 12 years ago from Canton, Mich.

He was an automotive mechanic. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era.

He was Christian.

He is survived by his wife, Ann (Ambrozaitis) Provo; one son, Henry A. Provo, Jr. of Inverness; and his mother, Marion Provo of Inverness.

Doris S. Strebe, 80, Hernando, died Monday, Dec. 10, 2001, in Hernando.

She was born Nov. 19, 1921, in Newark, N.Y., to Leon Houghtaling and Beatrice Lagenor.

She came here in 1980 from Canandaigua, N.Y.

She was a member of Leroy Rooks VFW Post No. 4252 Auxiliary.

She was a Protestant.

She is survived by her husband, Ralph A. Strebe of Hernando; two sons Gregory Hollis of Rochester, N.Y.; Braden Hollis of Wolcott, N.Y.; two daughters, Leonee Winburn of Inverness, and Darla Robyn of Ocala; one brother, Jack Houghtaling of Paso Robles, Calif.; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Clarence C. Brooks, 85, Homosassa, died Sunday, Jan. 27, 2002, at his home.

He was a member of Unity Church of Christ Written in Heaven. Survivors include three sons, J.C., Odell and Clinton Brooks, all of Homosassa; four daughters, Freida M. Sellers of Crystal River, Betty Munfords of Brooksville and Gerri DeVaughn and Rose Brooks of Homosassa; one sister, Ruby Dennis of St. Petersburg; 29 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Mary A. Field, 93, Beverly Hills, died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2002, in Inverness.

Mrs. Field was born Aug. 28, 1908, in Oswego, N.Y., to William and Elizabeth Kennedy. She came here in 1972 from Hialeah.

She was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Beverly Hills, and ABIT Society.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles H. Field, who died Nov. 18, 1987.

She is survived by a nephew, Richard Bradley of Charlotte, N.C., and a niece, Jean LaFurney of Oswego, N.Y.

Glenmore Henry, 79, Lecanto, died Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2002, at his home.

Born Jan. 11, 1923, in Tuscola, Ill., to James R. and Scotta Mae (Sebastian) Henry, he came here in 1989 from Paris, France.

Mr. Henry was a retired salesman in the food industry.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He was a member of the Hernando VFW Post 4252.

He was Baptist.

Survivors include his wife, Madeline (Francois) Henry; one son, Gerald Henry of Paris, France; two brothers, Leonard O. Henry of Crystal River and James W. Henry of Tampa; and one sister, Dorothy Hazlett of Ocala.

Frank Anthony Mus, 80, Dunnellon, died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2002, in Ocala.

Born in Kinde, Mich., he came here in 1990 from Birmingham, Ala.

Mr. Mus was a retired owner of a Burger King franchise. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Force.

Survivors include his wife, Velma Mus of Dunnellon; two sons, Charles Mus of Birmingham, Ala., and Andrew Mus of Atlanta, Ga.; three daughters, Sandra Stevens of Tallahassee and Susan Harrell and Kathleen Zamora, both of Atlanta Ga.; three sisters, Kay Bails of San Diego, Calif., Mary Panogopoulos of Schaumberg, Ill., and Dorothy Mus of Chicago, Ill.; and nine grandchildren.

Beverly Arbutus Skaggs, 72, Inverness, died Thursday, Jan. 31, 2002, at Citrus Memorial Hospital.

Born Aug. 6, 1929, in Sheboygan, Mich., to Francis and Nancy (Martin) Williams, she came here in 1992 from Flint, Mich.

Mrs. Skaggs was a homemaker, an avid bingo player and loved crocheting. She and her late husband, Steve, donated numerous hours with St. Vincent DePaul. Mrs. Skaggs was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Parish and SHARE Club of Inverness.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Steve C. Skaggs, on Sept. 14, 2000.

Survivors include one son, Steve F. and his wife, Teresa, of Fenton, Mich.; one daughter, Bonnie J. and her husband, Dale Parraghi, of Croswell, Mich.; two brothers, Fr. Francis Williams of DeWitt, Mich., and Don Williams of Inverness; four sisters, Pearl Eastman and Gwen Burrell, both of Inverness, Donna Mae Grim of Fenton, Mich., and Barbara Jones of Davison, Mich.; two grandchildren, Michael Wall and his wife, Chanda, and Jennifer Wall; and one great-grandson, Brett Burchell.

Margaret Jeanette Yarbrough, 76, Crystal River, died Thursday, Jan. 31, 2002, at her home under the care of her family and Hospice of Citrus County.

Born Jan. 28, 1926, in Fort Wayne, Ind., to Harold and Margaret (Stirlen) Bibby, she came here 21 years ago from Clarkston, Mich.

She retired after 16 years as an elementary school teacher for the Waterford (Mich.) School District. She was a member of Seven Rivers Golf and Country Club, National Educators Association, Michigan Educators Association and Retired Teachers Association. She was Presbyterian.

Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Richard Yarbrough of Crystal River; one son, Michael Yarbrough of Pittsburgh, Pa.; two daughters, Kathleen Thatcher (Joseph) of Logan, Ohio, and Susan McKay (Keith) of Burt, Mich.; two brothers, David Bibby of Sparta, Tenn., and Daniel Bibby of Miamisburg, Ohio; eight grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her son, Steven Shufalt of Cincinnatus, N.Y., and a daughter, Dixie Latimer of Cincinnatus, N.Y. Heinz Funeral Home, Inverness.
