He was born Sept. 12, 1954, in Woodbury, N.J., to Joseph and Helen Jasinski.

He moved to Floral City from Williamstown, N.J., in 1997. He was an equipment mechanic.

He was Presbyterian.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Jasinski Jr. Survivors include his wife of 17 years, Eileen Thompson Jasinski of Floral City; two sons, William Jasinski and Cole Imhuelsen, both of Floral City; one daughter, Bridgett Jasinski of Floral City; his mother, Helen Jasinski of Floral City; and Kevin, who was like a son.

Luz Divina Barbosa, 39, Citrus Springs, died Tuesday, May 14, 2002, at Tampa General Hospital.

She was born in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, and came here 11 years ago from Lynn, Mass.

She was a waitress and a retail salesperson.

She was a member of North Oak Baptist Church in Citrus Springs.

Surviving are one son, Jonathan Newton Rossi of Citrus Springs; two daughters, Celines Barbosa-Freeman of Ocala and Nastajah Rossi of Citrus Springs; fiancé, Brice K. Sesler of Citrus Springs; father, Angel Barbosa of Dominican Republic; mother, Laura Barbosa of Dominican Republic; one brother, Angel Eugenio Barbosa of Lynn, Mass.; one sister, (Clara) Diomedis Rosario of Methuen, Mass.; and three grandchildren.

Carolyn Fraser, 52 Spring Hill

Carolyn Jean Fraser, 52, Spring Hill, formerly of Inverness, died Thursday, May 16, 2002, at Hernando Care Center under the care of her family and Hernando/Pasco Hospice.

She was born March 4, 1950, in Chelsea, Mass., to Thomas and Florence (Atwood) Fraser.

She was a carpenter. She was a motorcycle enthusiast and an utdoorswoman. She was Protestant.

She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Fraser.

Survivors include her daughter, Karolyn Robards and her husband, Jeffrey, of Northbridge, Mass., and William Tempone of Spring Hill; her mother, Florence Fraser of Spring Hill; one sister, Bonny Fox and her husband, Edward C., of Spring Hill; two brothers, Thomas Fraser of Framingham, Mass., and George Fraser and his wife, Reba, of Ogden, Utah; and two grandchildren, Justin Robards and Katelyn Robards of Northbridge, Mass.

Memorials may be given to Hernando/Pasco Hospice.

Roland Gaigler, 78 Crystal River

Roland H. Gaigler, 78, Crystal River, died Thursday, May 16, 2002, at Seven Rivers Community Hospital in Crystal River.

He was born March 11, 1924, in Baltimore, Md., and came to this area four years ago from there.

He was a retired steelworker at Bethlehem Steel in Baltimore for 30 years.

He was preceded in death by his wife, JoAnne Gaigler, in 1986.

Survivors include four sons, Michael Gaigler, Wesley Gaigler, Timmy Custer and Billy Custer, all of Baltimore, Md.; two daughters, Patricia Killian of Pasadena, Md., and Diane Boush of Crystal River; two brothers, Charles and Kenneth Gaigler, both of Berlin, Md.; and one granddaughter, Hope Gaigler of Baird, W. Va.

Marie Kuhn, 94 Lake Placid

Marie Katherine Kuhn, 94, formerly of Inverness, died Wednesday, May 15, 2002, at Florida Hospital in Lake Placid.

Born Dec. 22, 1907, in Queens, N.Y., to Louis and Elizabeth (Hafner) Clarke, she came to Inverness in 1981 from Fort Lauderdale. She moved to Pembroke Pines and then to Lake Placid in 1993.

She was a former department store cashier.

She was a former member of Inverness Does and Our Lady of Fatima Parish.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward, on June 14, 1992.

Survivors include two daughters, Ruth Jones of Lake Placid and Elizabeth Ann Pruitt of Centerville, Ind.; one son, Edward Kuhn of Hollywood; one stepsister, Dorothy Farrell of New York; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

John ‘Buddy’ Murphy Jr., 77 Floral City

John Willis “Buddy” Murphy Jr., 77, Floral City, died Wednesday, May 15, 2002, at his home under the care of his family and Hospice of Citrus County.

Born Sept. 25, 1924, in Gordon, Ala., to John W. and Ruby (Jeffcoat) Murphy, he came here 38 years ago from there.

He was a road construction superintendent with Carroll Contracting, retiring in 1988 after 38 years of service.

He was a member of Floral City Baptist Church. He was a sixth generation Floral City descendant. He was a hunter and fisherman and enjoyed spending time at his home in Balsam, N.C.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Eula Mae (Stokes) Murphy; son, Donald Murphy; daughter, Gayle Ann Murphy Stevenson and her husband, Bud Stevenson; one sister, Lucille Carroll; two granddaughters, Barkley Corcoran and her husband, Keith, and Melissa Richie; four grandsons, Trae Stevenson, Terry Wayne Murphy, Gary Lee Murphy and Daniel Murphy; and four great-grandchildren, Corey, Tyler and Chance Corcoran and Ashtan Richie. All are of Floral City.

Maxine C. Pesci, 80, Homosassa, died Thursday, May 16, 2002, in Inverness.

She was born Jan. 19, 1922, in Tulsa, Okla., to Floyd W. and Esther James Casselman. She came here in 1985 from California.

She was a former companion for home care.

She was a member of First Christian Church of Homosassa Springs.

Survivors include one son, Alfred Cuykendall of Roggen, Colo.; one daughter, Jeannette Roller of Denver, Colo.; one sister, Virginia Jean Bozarth of Sacramento, Calif.; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and her guardian, Patti Thayer.

Cynthia Jane “Cindy” Storey, 43, Inverness, died Friday, May 17, 2002, at her home under the care of her family and Hospice of Citrus County.

Born July 21, 1958, in Clare, Mich., she came here seven years ago from Jacksonville.

She was a homemaker. She was Catholic.

Survivors include her husband, Body C. Storey; two sons, Jake and Robbie Storey, both of Inverness; her mother, Sue Haskell of Inverness; a brother, Scott Haskell of Harrison, Mich.; and a sister, Mindy Shell of Bendon, Mich.

Julie Renee Leggett-Brown, 37, Trenton died Monday, June 24, 2002, in Gainesville.

She moved to Trenton from Chiefland four years ago.

Mrs. Leggett-Brown was a certified nursing assistant.

She was a member of Long Pond Baptist Church.

She was a fan of the Atlanta Braves and the Florida Gators and loved fishing.

She was preceded in death by her son, Waylong Williams; and her brother, Charles Cain.

She is survived by her mother, Peggy Leggett, Inverness; and her husband, Kelvin Brown, Trenton; three sons, Christopher Williams, Chiefland, Jacob Williams, Trenton, and Austin Williams, Trenton; three stepsons, Kelvin Brown Jr., St. Petersburg, Mateo Brown, Trenton and Akeem Thompson, Trenton; her daughter, Kristian Williams, Trenton; two stepdaughters, Xandria Brown, St. Petersburg, and Quenshia Brown, St. Petersburg; two sisters, Mary Leggett, St. Petersburg, and Debra Sipf, Chiefland; and her maternal grandmother, Lois Tatman, Monmoth, Ill.

Sylvia Lee Mizner, 67, Hernando, died Sunday, June 23, 2002, at Citrus Memorial Hospital, Inverness.

She was born Dec. 11, 1934, in Vero Beach to Earnest and Mildred Nielsen.

She came to Citrus County 20 years ago from Winter Haven.

She retired from Time Warner Cable Company in Lecanto as a receptionist.

She was Protestant.

Ms. Mizner was preceded in death by her daughter, Diane Roth, in 2001; and her brother Earnest C. Nielson, in 1990.

She is survived by two sisters, Louella M. Thomas, Tarpon Springs and Bettie N. Kelle, Winter Haven; son-in-law, Charlie Roth, Hernando; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Peter Muller, 73, Citrus Springs, died Tuesday, June 25, 2002, in Inverness.

He was born on Sept. 1, 1928, in Bronx, N.Y. to Peter J. and Agnes Smith Muller.

He worked in management for Nynex Telephone Co. for 38 years before relocating to the area in 1987 from Levittown, N.Y.

He was Catholic and a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Citrus Springs.

Mr. Muller was also a member of Citrus Springs Golf Club, Inverness Elks No. 2522, and was the president of Citrus Springs Civic Association.

He is survived by his wife, Loretta Heffernan Muller, Citrus Springs; four sons, Peter Muller, Huntington, N.Y., Robert Muller, Huntington, N.Y., Richard Muller, Garden City, N.Y., and Thomas Muller, Monroe, Conn.; daughter, Virginia Pertola, Hempstead, N.Y.; two sisters, Eileen Game, Hicksville, N.Y., and Margaret Muller, New York.; and 15 grandchildren.
