TRENTON - Eliza M. Collier of Trenton died Wednesday at North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville after a brief illness. She was 82.

Mrs. Collier was a homemaker. She also enjoyed crocheting.

Born in Statenville, Ga., she lived in Live Oak for most of her life before moving to Trenton eight years ago.

She was a Baptist.

Survivors include two sons, Gene Collier of Wellborn and James Collier of Trenton; three daughters, Mildred Beach of Trenton, Louise Cashmore and Patricia Hester, both of Live Oak; two brothers, Johnny Maine of Statenville and Robert Maine of Columbia City; 25 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

June Gill

STARKE - June Gill of Starke died Tuesday at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Jacksonville. She was 71.

Mrs. Gill was a homemaker and a Baptist.

She was born in Grapevine, Ky., and she moved to Starke 40 years ago.

Survivors include a daughter, Phyllis Murray of Lebanon, Ohio; a son, Douglas O. Combs of Starke; a brother, Buster Davidson of Chipley; a sister, Arbutus Armstrong of Hampton Lake; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Kathryn Gipson Lewis

Kathryn Gipson "Big Mama" Lewis died Wednesday at Oaks Nursing Home in Gainesville after a long illness. She was 88.

Mrs. Lewis was employed by Mr. and Mrs. M.M. Parrish for over 50 years.

Born in Summerton, S.C., she moved to Gainesville over 60 years ago.

Mrs. Lewis was a born-again Christian.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Ruth Kinsey; and a son, William Gipson.

Survivors include a brother, Willie Gipson of Baltimore; her caretaker, Hattie Kinsey Matthews of Gainesville; seven grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

Evelyn Jeanette Beach

Evelyn Jeanette Beach of Gainesville died Saturday at her home. She was 76.

Mrs. Beach was retired from the University of Florida's statistics department. She previously was employed at Duke Hospital's department of pathology.

Born in Oneonta, N.Y., she moved from Durham, N.C., to Gainesville 43 years ago.

She was a sports fan.

Survivors include a son, Robby Beach of Gainesville; two daughters, Cheryl Cozad of Lenexa, Kan., and Laurie Tennant of Carrollton, Ga.; and a sister, Doris Collier of Santee, Calif.

Orilla M. Coppedge

WILLISTON - Orilla M. Coppedge of Williston died Saturday at Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville. She was 89.

Mrs. Coppedge was a retired dental assistant.

Born in Paris, Tenn., she moved to Williston from Tampa 24 years ago.

She was a member of the Piece-Makers Quilting Club of Williston and the First Baptist Church of Williston.

Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Matrie of Jacksonville; and two sisters, Modena Owens of Paris, Tenn., and Tippy Rhodes of Murray, Ky.

Woodrow Berryman Golliday

Woodrow Berryman Golliday of Gainesville died Sunday at Hospice House after a long illness. He was 82.

Mr. Golliday formerly owned and operated Golliday's Bus Service while serving on the Maryland Safety Commission, which set safety standards for buses, trucks and cars.

Born in Timberville, Va., he moved from Sykesville, Md., to Gainesville 13 years ago.

Mr. Golliday was past president of the Sykesville Rotary Club and was a member of the Masons, Order of the Eastern Star, Shriners and the Grace United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Margaret Golliday of Gainesville; two daughters, Margaret Charlene Henson of Sykesville and Joan Marie Golliday of Gainesville; a son, Bobbie Lee Pickett Golliday of Terra Alta, W.Va.; a sister, Gladys Smith of Ellicot City, Md.; a brother, George Allen Golliday of Falling Waters, W.Va.; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Expressions of sympathy may be made as donations to the Golliday Memorial Fund in care of the SFCC Endowment Corporation or to the Grace United Methodist Church.

Roscoe Conklin Halbrook

FORT WHITE - Roscoe Conklin "R.C." Halbrook of Fort White died Sunday at his home. He was 81.

Mr. Halbrook was a farmer and a lifelong resident of the area.

He was a member of the New Oak Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Ollie Halbrook of Fort White; two sons, Gordon Halbrook of Merritt Island and Frank Marshall of Alachua; four daughters, June Johnson of Toccoa, Ga., Shirley Putman of Alachua, Betty Reid of Mobile, Ala., and Marie Steedley of Fort White; a brother, Noah Halbrook of Venice; 14 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Ina Troxell Hart

DOWLING PARK - Ina Troxell Hart of Dowling Park died Sunday in Dowling Park. She was 90.

Mrs. Hart was a notary, retired officer manager, treasurer, secretary and former minister at the Bixler Memorial Advent Christian Church in Dowling Park.

Born in Bridgeport, Ala., she moved from Jacksonville to Dowling Park 40 years ago.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews.

Expressions of sympathy may be made as donations to the Advent Christian Village in Dowling Park.

Frances Nadine Hoggatt

HAMPTON - Frances Nadine Hoggatt of Hampton died Saturday at Shands at Starke. She was 89.

Mrs. Hoggatt retired from W.T. Grant Co. as assistant credit manager.

She was born in Jacksonville and moved from Jacksonville to Hampton six years ago.

Mrs. Hoggatt was a member of the Arlington Assembly of God.

Survivors include a son, Raymond Gouin of Hampton; two sisters, Florita Howard of Tallahassee and Dorothy Powell of St. Petersburg; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

B. Lott Holton

HIGH SPRINGS - B. Lott Holton of High Springs died Saturday at Shands at AGH in Gainesville after a long illness. He was 86.

Mr. Holton was a retired foreman for Loncala Phosphate in High Springs.

He was born in Hazelhurst, Ga., and moved from Clark to High Springs 50 years ago.

Survivors include a son, Kenneth Holton of High Springs; three sisters, Clarice Fowler of High Springs, Vernice Rourk of Alachua and Geneva Holton of Gainesville; and three grandchildren.

Joseph Raymond Quirin

TRENTON - Joseph Raymond Quirin of Trenton died Saturday at Oakview Rehab Center in Williston after a long illness. He was 77.

Mr. Quirin was a former TV repairman for Howard's TV in Gainesville. He was also a parachute rigger and repairman in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Born in Altoona, Pa., he lived in Gainesville for 40 years before moving to Trenton three years ago.

Mr. Quirin was a Catholic.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris M. Quirin.

Survivors include three sons, Joseph R. Quirin of Bronson, Thomas L. Quirin of Trenton and Richard S. Quirin of Windsor; five daughters, Joanne Lake of Waldo, Catherine Quirin, Mary Quirin and Donna Quirin, all of Gainesville, and Theresa Merced of Panama City; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
