Alma A. Underwood
FANNING SPRINGS - Alma A. Underwood of Chiefland died Friday in Fanning Springs after a long illness. She was 88.
Mrs. Underwood was a homemaker.
She was born in Waterford, Pa., and moved from Pinellas County to Chiefland 25 years ago.
She belonged to the Joppa Baptist Church.
Mrs. Underwood was preceded in death by a son, Jack E. Underwood, and a daughter, Barbara Jean Gibson.
Survivors include a son, Oscar Underwood of Chiefland; a brother, Donald Blakeslee of New York; and three sisters, Mary Ann Osborne of Erie, Pa., Pearl Jenkins of Graceville and Halla Edwards of Camilla, Ga.; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Gordon J. Boles
BRANFORD - Gordon J. Boles of Branford died Saturday at Columbia Lake City Medical Center in Lake City following a short illness. He was 77.
Mr. Boles was born in Geneva, Ala., and moved to Branford 30 years ago from Auburndale. He was a U.S. Army veteran and had worked as a custodian for the school boards in Lee and Suwannee counties. Mr. Boles was a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Edyce Boles of Branford; three sons, Fred Boles of Fort Worth, Texas, Michael Boles of Carabelle, and Roger Boles of Branford; one sister, Evie Giddins of Nashville, Ga.; 13 grandchildren; and 11 great-grand- children.
Elizabeth Ann "Betty" Bostock
Elizabeth Ann "Betty" Bostock of Waldo died Saturday at Shands at AGH Alachua General Hospital in Gainesville following a sudden illness. She was 77.
Mrs. Bostock was born in Iowa and has lived on Little Lake Santa Fe near Waldo for 30 years. She was a homemaker and a member of Dove World Outreach in Gainesville. She attended the Christian Women's Club in Gainesville.
Survivors include one stepson, Richard Bostock of Clinton, Iowa, and two granddaughters.
Blanche Clyatt
Blanche Clyatt of Micanopy died Sunday. She was 84.
Mrs. Clyatt was born in Boydton, Va., and moved to Micanopy from Island Grove as a child. She was a retired postmaster of Micanopy, a 50-year member of Order of Eastern Star Micanopy Chapter 140, a member of Micanopy United Methodist Church and a member of the National Postmasters Association.
Mrs. Clyatt was preceded in death by her husband, Frank H. Clyatt II. Survivors include a son, Frank Howard Clyatt III of Laurel, Md.; two daughters, Marion Tompkins and Lexyne Page, both of Micanopy; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Chasetain Nicole Freeman
LAKE BUTLER - Chasetain Nicole Freeman of Lake Butler died Sunday in her home following an extended illness. She was 5.
Miss Freeman was born in Gainesville and was a lifelong resident of Lake Butler. She was a Baptist.
Survivors include her parents, Larry D. Freeman and Melanie Ann Long of Lake Butler; four stepbrothers, Tyler Freeman, Casey Freeman, Cody Freeman and Ethan Freeman, all of Sanderson; maternal grandmother, Martha Long of Waldo; maternal great-grandparents, Ruby and Elwood Gaskins of Gainesville; and three uncles and one aunt.
Robert Calvin Hill
Robert Calvin Hill of Hawthorne died Sunday in his home after lingering illness. He was 71.
Mr. Hill was a lifelong resident of Alachua County and had worked for the University of Florida in the physical plant for 33 years. He was a seaman first class with the U.S. Navy in the Pacific during World War II, and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Mr. Hill was a Baptist.
Mr. Hill was preceded in death by a daughter, Alicia Yanke. Survivors include his wife, Sarah Hill of Hawthorne; one son, Bobby Hill of LaCrosse; one brother, Joseph William Hill of Gainesville; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Rose May Dowling
NEWBERRY - Rose May Dowling of Newberry died Sunday at the North Florida Regional Medical Center. She was 76.
Mrs. Dowling was born in Sanford and moved to this area in 1961. She was a retired furniture upholsterer. She was a member of the Countryside Baptist Church.
Mrs. Dowling was preceded in death by her husband, J.R. Dowling.
She is survived by two sons, Randol Dowling and Dana Dowling, both of Gainesville; a sister, Ruth Ward of DeLand; 15 grandchildren; and 11 great- grandchildren.
Ruth S. Frank
ST. AUGUSTINE - Ruth S. Frank of St. Augustine died Wednesday at Flagler Hospital in St. Augustine. She was 74.
Mrs. Frank was born in Lancaster, Pa., and lived in Gainesville for 29 years before moving to St. Augustine in 1988. She was a retired manager of hotels and condominiums, and attended Memorial Lutheran Church in St. Augustine.
Mrs. Frank was preceded in death by a son, Greg S. Frank.
Survivors include her husband, A.L. Frank of St. Augustine; two sisters; and a grandson.
Warren W. Goff
Warren W. Goff of Gainesville died Monday at his home after a long illness. He was 56.
Mr. Goff was born in Lincoln, Ill., and moved to Gainesville from Orlando 16 years ago.
He was the vice president for administration at the Florida Farm Bureau Insurance Co.
He graduated from the University of Central Florida and served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He served in the Army Reserves until his death, achieving the rank of lieutenant colonel.
He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He was Catholic.
Survivors include his wife, Shari M. Goff of Gainesville; his parents, Ed and Eileen Goff of Winter Park; two stepdaughters, Amber L. Kinaird of Seattle and Peyton L. Kinaird of Auburn, Ala.; three sisters, Nancy Fischer of Gainesville, Patty McNary of Altamonte Springs and Mary Beth Gatch of Lake Mary; and a brother, Thomas E. Goff of Denver.

Annie Mae Tetstone Jones
BROOKER - Annie Mae Tetstone Jones of Brooker died Monday at Shands at AGH of respiratory failure. She was 63.
A cafeteria manager, Mrs. Jones was born in Starke. She was a lifetime resident of Brooker. She was Baptist.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas Jones of Brooker; two daughters, Debora Goodman of Gainesville and DeeAnn Gaskill of Brooker; six sons, Ray Jones of Gainesville, Larry Jones of Gainesville, Terry Jones of Brooker, Darrell Jones of Gainesville, Tommy Jones of Gainesville and Michael Jones Thomas of Lake Butler; a brother, Ernest "Bud" Tetstone of Gainesville; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Louis Kuitert
Louis Kuitert of Gainesville died Sunday at Hospice House in Gainesville after a short illness. He was 86.
Dr. Kuitert was a retired professor of entomology at the University of Florida. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, in India and Burma, where he earned a Bronze Star. He left military service in 1948 with the rank of major.
He was born in Spring Lake, Mich., and came to Gainesville from Manhattan, Kan., in 1948.
Dr. Kuitert was a charter member of Trinity United Methodist Church. He served as president of the Florida Entomological Society and was listed in American Men of Science.
He was a president of University Kiwanis of Gainesville, and served as lieutenant governor for the district. He was a charter member of the Gainesville Rose Society. He also was a Little League baseball coach.
Survivors include his wife, Eva Kuitert of Gainesville; two daughters, Sharon Chenault of Port Charlotte and Linda Bryant of Tampa; a son, Robert Kuitert of Lake City; two sisters, Sue Foster of Seattle and Edith Kuitert of Gainesville; and a brother, John Kuitert of Seaside, Ore.; seven grandchildren; and one great- grandchild.
E. Dorothy Moore
E. Dorothy Moore of Gainesville died Sunday in Southwest Retirement Home after a long illness. She was 89.
Mrs. Moore, a homemaker, was born in Jacksonville and moved to this area in 1974.
She was past president of the High Springs Garden Club, a member of the High Springs Woman's Club and Gainesville's Northwest Baptist Church. She was a former member of First Presbyterian of High Springs.
Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas H. Moore.
Survivors include two daughters, Dorothy Jean Hickrod and Barbara Moore, both of Gainesville; a son, Dr. Thomas H. Moore of Gainesville; a sister, Violet Peacock of Jacksonville; four grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Faustine Patterson
STARKE - Faustine "Tina" Patterson of Starke died Monday at North Florida Regional Medical Center.
She was 67.
Mrs. Patterson was a retired registrar for Bradford High School. She was born in Palmetto, Ala., and moved to Starke in 1960. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Starke.
Survivors include her husband, Robert E. Patterson of Starke; a daughter, Marilyn Hart of Palatka; a son, Robert E. Patterson III of Lawtey; a sister, Ann Williams of Birmingham, Ala.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
