Frankie G. Worthington

BRANFORD - Frankie G. Worthington of Branford died Sunday at Vencor Hospital in Green Cove Springs. She was 55.

Mrs. Worthington was a homemaker.

Born in Denver, she moved from California to Branford four years ago.

Survivors include her husband, Ken Worthington of Branford; two sons, David Worthington of Santa Rosa, Calif., and Mark Deleon of Pittsburg, Calif.; two daughters, Debbie Weber of Folsom, Calif., and Kristina Derkos of Sebastopol, Calif.; two sisters, Mickey Garland of Richmond, Calif., and Mary Kraft of Elk Grove, Calif.; a brother, Pat Way of California; and eight grandchildren.

Trumarlee Davis Barber

Trumarlee Davis "MeMe" Barber of Gainesville died Monday at her home. She was 83.

Mrs. Barber was a homemaker. She also operated a child day care center in her home.

Born in Westville, she moved from Westville to Gainesville 58 years ago.

Mrs. Barber was a charter member of the United Pentecostal Church in Gainesville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mueen "Mac" Barber.

Survivors include two daughters, Carol Teston of Carthage, Tenn., and Sharon Teston Papciak of Gainesville; a sister, Vera Lahmeyer of Ocala; a brother, Johnnie Davis of DeLand; five grandchildren; and three great- grandchildren.

Expressions of sympathy may be made as donations to the United Pentecostal Church Building Fund or Hospice of North Central Florida.

Charles K. Burke

INGLIS - Charles K. Burke of Inglis died Sunday at his home. He was 75.

Mr. Burke was a retired manager for New Jersey Bell Telephone Co. He also served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Born in Jersey City, N.J., he moved from Point Pleasant, N.J., to Inglis 16 years ago.

Mr. Burke was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. He also was a scoutmaster for Boy Scouts of America in Bricktown, N.J. He enjoyed fishing.

He was a Protestant.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Agnes M. Burke of Inglis; a son, Alan F. Burke of Durham, N.C.; a daughter, Susan Driegert of Califon, N.J.; a sister, Viola Lohsen of Crystal River; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Raymond R. Dicks

BELL - Raymond R. Dicks of Bell died Sunday at North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville after a brief illness. He was 79.

Mr. Dicks was a construction worker and later owned and operated the Raymond Dicks Foodstore in Lake City. He also served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

A lifelong resident of Columbia County, he moved to Bell seven years ago. Mr. Dicks enjoyed working on his pecan grove in Bell.

He was a Baptist.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Mae "Trudy" Dicks of Bell; a son, Donald R. Dicks of Lake City; a daughter, JoAnne Dicks Kotait of Gainesville; a sister, Archie L. Dicks of Starke; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Nora Thelma Driver

MAYO - Nora Thelma Driver of Mayo died Thursday at Shands at Lake Shore in Lake City. She was 84.

Mrs. Driver was a homemaker and a member of Walker Creek Baptist Church in Hatchbend.

She was a lifelong resident of Mayo. Mrs. Driver was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Sylvester Driver.

Survivors include three sons, Leroy Driver Sr. of Day, Luther Driver of Las Vegas and Wilbur Driver of Branford; two sisters, Lilian Lamb of Chiefland and Letha Walker of Bell; 19 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

Faye Jarrett

Faye Jarrett of Gainesville died Sunday at Shands at AGH. She was 85.

Mrs. Jarrett was a retail saleswoman for Belk Lindsey and Burdines Department Stores in Gainesville and Miami.

Born in Newton, N.C., she moved from Pompano Beach to Gainesville 24 years ago.

Mrs. Jarrett was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Gainesville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Logan Jarrett.

Survivors include a son, Johnny Neal Jarrett of Pensacola; a daughter, Bette Jo Montalbano of Gainesville; a sister, Irene Nagrabski of Fort Lauderdale; six grandchildren; and five great- grandchildren.

Expressions of sympathy may be made as donations to First Presbyterian Church Building Fund.

Robert B. Lester Jr.

QUINCY - Robert B. Lester Jr. of Quincy died Sunday in Tallahassee. He was 84.

Mr. Lester was a lifelong resident of Quincy.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Woodbert Lester of Quincy; a daughter, Mary Louise Hess of Gainesville; a son; two brothers; two sisters; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Expressions of sympathy may be made as donations to the Centenary United Methodist Church in Quincy or to Hospice Big Bend in Tallahassee.

James Calvin Platt

LIVE OAK - James Calvin Platt of Live Oak died Saturday at Surrey Place Nursing Home after a long illness. He was 93.

Mr. Platt was a retired grader operator for Troup Bros. Construction in Miami.

Born in Suwannee County, he moved from Miami to Live Oak 31 years ago.

He was a member of the Orange Baptist Church in Live Oak.

Mr. Platt was preceded in death by his wife, Pat Platt.

Survivors include a daughter, Lynda Platt Jacobson of Live Oak; four sisters, Lillian Davis of Live Oak, Mildred Wilson of Dowling Park, Elizabeth Lanier of Clearwater and Hazel Stewart Williams of DeLand; and a brother, Walton Platt of Live Oak.
