Dorothy B. Bella, 85, of Cape Coral passed away on Friday August 27, 2004. Formerly of Sheffield Lake, Ohio, she had resided here since 1980. She enjoyed many activities including, playing cards, gardening, cooking and baking. Mrs. Bella was of the Catholic faith, and was a former member of the Buckeye Club, Loyal Order of Moose and Elks clubs. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene 'Gene' in 1984, with whom she enjoyed Ballroom Dancing, traveling and especially cruises.
Surviving are her children, Barbara A. (Jim) Mullens of Cape Coral, Paul M. (Doris) Bella of Alva, Patricia A. (Tom) Humanek of Cape Coral, Charles M. (Mimi) Bella of Vermilion, OH, and Richard M. (Lisa) Bella of Cape Coral; a sister, Ann of Mansfield, OH; sister-in-law, Alice Ferencz of St. Petersburg; seven beloved grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will celebrate Mrs. Bella's life on Sunday August 29, 2004 at 6 P.M. in the Chapel of the Cape Coral Memorial Funeral Home, 3740 Del Prado Boulevard, 239-542-3161. The family will receive friends two hours prior to service time. Memorials may be made to Hope Hospice, 9470 HealthPark Circle, Fort Myers, FL 33908 or the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 21475, St. Petersburg, FL 33742.

John Patrick Early, 90, of Cape Coral, died Thursday August 26, 2004 at Manor Care of Ft. Myers. He was born March 17, 1914 in Brooklyn, New York. John served his country honorably with the U.S. Army in the Pacific. He retired to Cape Coral in 1976 after 49 years with the New York Telephone Co.
Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Nina Farrugia Early, his daughter Karen Emes of Alberta, Canada, 3 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
John was a lifetime member of the Cape Coral Elks. He was Exalted Ruler 1982-1983 and again 1984-1985. He was instrumental in the planning andbuilding of the new Cape Coral Lodge in 1983. He became Vice President Grand Exalted Ruler for Southwest District in 1985. He was the first Elk at Cape Coral Lodge to become District Deputy Grand Exalted Ruler in 1987. He worked diligently with the Elks and their Youth Camp and Children's Hospital in Umatilla, FL. He was a member of American Legion Post 90.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hope Hospice of Cape Coral. A Memorial service will be held at the Cape Coral Elks Lodge on Tuesday,August 31 at 2:00 P.M.

Earl 'Bro' Hamilton was born on April 3, 1943 in Ft. Myers, FL as the second of three sons born to Mr. & Mrs. Earl and Julia Mae Hamilton. He was suddenly taken away on August 20, 2004.
He was preceded in death by his father, Earl Hamilton; Mother, Julia Mae Hamilton, and brother, Rufus James Hamilton. He is survived by his older brother, Alexander (Celia) Hamilton, his loving wife of 44 years, Jacqueline Louise Hamilton, and their 6 children: Sharon Louise Hamiton, Margaret Louise Hamilton, Mabel Beatrice Hamilton, Earl (Valerie) Hamilton, Jr., Tyron (Theresa) Hamilton, and Catina (Henrik) Hamilton-Romer.
Also missing him are 16 grandchildren: Antonia Hernandez (Jeff Burlison), Antonio Hernandez, Dontavious Hernandez, Quayshawn Hamilton, Jo'Shawn Hamilton, Shar'quez Hamilton, Shainiee Knight, Jaharia Clemmons, Shawntavious Dawson, Dawayne Jackson, Brandon Wiggins, Dion Wiggins, Tavarsha Hamilton, Tyler Hamilton, Tyrone Hamilton, Jr., Natillia Romer, Jordan Romer, and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He will also be missed by his good friends Zep Upshaw and Walt Thorton.
Earl was a loyal employee of Bayside Drywall and Plastering, Inc., for over 18 years, teaching others the art of stucco. He was a great friend and a teacher to many.
Viewing on Friday, August 27th at Hickson Funeral Home at 6:00 PM. Funeral on Saturday, August 28th at 11:00 AM at Jerusalem Church, 2250 Palm Ave., in Ft. Myers.

Tony Lyons, 60, passed away Wednesday, August 25, 2004. The son of Philip Anthony and Rosemary McCann Lyons, he was the husband of Grace Bradbeer Lyons. Born in New York City, Lyons grew up in Yonkers and Pine Plains, NY. A 1961 graduate of Cranwell Prep in Lenox, MA, he attended St. Michael's College at the University of Toronto, serving as president of his freshman class, and graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a degree in English. A lifetime of employment took him from New York to Los Angeles; St. Thomas, V.I. to Newport, RI, and Peterboro, NH; Washington , D.C. and St. Michael's MD to the Navajo Reservation in Window Rock, AZ before he and his wife moved to Florida in 1983. His background, education and talents were showcased in positions as varied as Director of the Council on Alcoholism, editor of the Navajo Times, road manager for the Cowsills, and owner/manager of the Black Pearl Restaurant in Newport.
In Florida he and Grace established Graceway Property Management on Sanibel, serving as property managers for many SAnibel homeowners. One of Lyons' proudest accomplishments was his 28-year membership in Alcoholics Anonymous, which he joined in August of 1976 at the age of 32.
Besides his wife, Lyons is survived by four sisters, Judy Lyons Wolf of Knoxville, MD; Rosemary Lyons of Pine Plains; Tully Lyons of Ann Arbor, MI, and Mona Lyons of Takoma Park, MD; a stepson, Stephen Bradley Moon; seven nephews and four nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Gregory Michael Lyons.
At his request, his body is being cremated. In celebration of his life, the family will receive friends at his home on Sept. 5, from 3 to 5 PM. Contributions in Lyons' memory may be made to Hope Hospice, 9470 HealthPark Circle, Ft. Myers, 33908; Alcoholics Anonymous General Office, Box 459, Grand Central Station, New York, NY 101053; or a charity of the donor's choice.

Irven Lloyd 'Mac' McLaughlin, age 83, of Estero, died August 26, 2004. He was born in Robinson, Kansas to Harry and Blanche (Mathena) McLaughlin. Mac was a graduate of the Kansas State University and the University of Dayton. He retired as an electrical engineer with the United States Air Force civil service. Mac was a U.S. Marine veteran who served in the South Pacific in W.W. II, he was also a member of the San Carlos Power and Sail Squadron.
Mr. McLaughlin is survived by his loving wife of 61 years Maxine (Donham) McLaughlin.
The family will receive friends Monday, August 30, 2004 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at Walter Shikany's Bonita Funeral Home, 28300 Tamiami Tr. S. followed by a service at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Florida National Cemetery.

Nicole June Webster, 22, of Cape Coral, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 24, 2004 in Ft. Myers, Florida. She was born August 31, 1981 in Buffalo, Oklahoma.
She attended Edison Community College working towards her Law degree. She was evolved in the Guardian Ad Litum for Children. Nicole will be joining her grandfather, Earl Webster and dear friend Christina Wilson.
She is survived by her mother, Teresa June Webster; father, Earl and his wife Karen Webster; brothers, Cody Webster of Cape Coral, Earl III, Jonathan, Jordan Joshua, and little sister, Kaleigh are from Protection, KS. She will leave behind her precious dog, Kismet. Nicole will be missed and loved by all who may have known her.
Funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, August 28, 2004 at 6:00 PM at the Harvey-Engelhardt Chapel, 1600 Colonial Blvd., and Ft. Myers. Family will receive friends from 3-6 PM at the Funeral Home.

Robert Frank Williams, 60, of Land O' Lakes, passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2004. He ws born in Terre Haute, IN and moved to Florida from Indiana in 1986. He was a Florida Artist with many limited edition prints and originals. He was a member of the Northwest Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife, LaVerne; one son, Brian D. Williams of Odessa; his father, Frank Robert Williams of Indianapolis, IN; tow grandchildren, Megan and Nathan of Odessa.
A funeral service will be held at Loyless Funeral Chapel on Sunday at 3:00 PM. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Marjorie Haffner (nee Guzik) beloved wife of the late Bernard, loving mother of Lisa (Ned) Siegler and Sharon (Joe) Nalepka, devoted grandmother and sister.

Robert, a resident of Elgin, IL until January 2003 peacefully departed this world at the age of 88. He has now joined his beloved wife, Helen; parents, Hattie and Harry; siblings, Clarence and Marianne as well as many other family members and loving friends.
As a young man, Robert won Championships at table-tennis and golf. He won his first Elgin City Golf Title at the age of 17 and continued on to win countless more tournaments across the state of Illinois from 1933 to 1953. Robert was known for his tenacious competitiveness in anything he endeavored. He also excelled at pistol shooting, three-cushion billiards and bridge.
He worked at the Elgin National Watch Factory from 1936 until it ceased operations in Elgin. Next, he became a Kane County Bailiff in Geneva, finally retiring at age 65. Robert was a lifetime member of the Elgin Elks and a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Lodge #799.
In January, Robert moved to Ft. Myers, FL due to failing health and to spend his remaining time with his daughter and son-in-law Judy and Mac Churchill. He resided at the Grand Court in an apartment for several months, then moved to ENCORE Senior Village where he made many new friends and where he could receive twenty-four hour care from the most caring, loving people anyone could hope to meet. The best part of his move to Florida was the nearly daily visits and outings with Judy and Mac. We were all blessed to have that time together.
At his request, Robert will be cremated, placed in an urn and returned to Elgin's Bluff City Cemetery to be buried next to Helen. Nancy Varner, age 64, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her beloved family on August 28, 2004 after battling cancer for several months.
She was preceded in death by her husband Roger W. Varner in 1991. She is survived by her children Steven Mitchell Swank, his wife Dawne Rae, Mitchell Moore Swank, his wife Randa, two grandchildren, Steven Dalton Swank, Dillon Carter Swank and her beloved Ferdinando 'Franky' Cecco.
Nancy was a successful Real Estate investor for most of her life and believed in living life to the absolute fullest. She was also an avid golfer, winning her club championship multiple times. She was the only person I know to have two hole in ones!
Mom, with tears in our eyes and broken hearts, we must say goodbye until we meet again in heaven. We love and miss you, Your Family.
A memorial service will be held at her residence on Thursday, Sept. 2, 2004 at 2:00 PM. You may send flowers in her memory to 24378 Belize Ct., Punta Gorda, FL 33955. If you have any questions you may call her son, Mithcell Swank at 904-545-6600.
