Richard T. Lovorn

KEYSTONE HEIGHTS - Capt. Richard T. Lovorn of Keystone Heights died Sunday at North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville after a long illness. He was 84.

Capt. Lovorn formerly owned Lovorn Realty Co. in Keystone Heights and served two terms as a Clay County School Board member. He also served in the U.S. Army for 22 years, retiring with a rank of captain.

Born in Bell County, Texas, he moved to Keystone Heights 45 years ago.

He was a graduate of the University of Florida.

Capt. Lovorn was a Mason.

Survivors include two daughters, Elaine Newman of Athens, Tenn., and Linda Hazen of Keystone Heights; a son, Mike Lovorn of Port Orchard, Wash.; three brothers, Roy T. Lovorn of Topeka, Kan., Glen L. Lovorn and Ray Lovorn, both of Belton, Texas; two sisters, Marie Goodnight of Little River, Texas, and Faye Boyd of Corsicana, Texas; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Expressions of sympathy may be made as donations to the U.S. Soldiers' and Airmen's Home in Washington, D.C.

Brian Andrew McConnell

OLD TOWN - Brian Andrew McConnell of Old Town died Sunday at his home after a long illness. He was 27.

Mr. McConnell was a delivery person for Tampa Brake.

He was born in Lakeland and moved from Lakeland to Old Town one month ago.

Mr. McConnell was a member of the Florida Wrestling Federation.

He was a Baptist.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy McConnell of Old Town; two sons, Damion Keith McConnell and Brian Austin McConnell, both of Old Town; his parents, George and Barbara McConnell of Old Town; two brothers, Ricky McConnell of Eaton Park and Brad McConnell of Old Town; and a sister, Tiffany McConnell of Old Town.

Rosa Lee Rackard Robinson

REDDICK - Rosa Lee Rackard "Sug" Robinson of Reddick died Monday at Gainesville Health and Rehab Center after a long illness. She was 88.

Mrs. Robinson was a homemaker and a Baptist. Born in Orange Lake, she moved to the Reddick area 29 years ago.

Mrs. Robinson was a member of the Lily White Organization.

Survivors include a niece, Rosa Lee Williams of Reddick; and her caretaker, Darnella N. Williams of Reddick.

Joan P. Warfield

LIVE OAK - Joan P. Warfield of Live Oak died Monday at her home. She was 70.

Mrs. Warfield was a homemaker and a Methodist.

She was born in Kalamazoo, Mich., and moved from Fort Lauderdale to Live Oak 10 years ago.

Survivors include three sons, Jimmy Patterson and Dodson Patterson, both of Charlotte, N.C., and Russell Patterson of Live Oak; a sister, Mary Boggus of Charlotte; and numerous grandchildren.

Renzo Barber

O'BRIEN - Renzo Barber of O'Brien died Monday at his home. He was 89.

Mr. Barber owned and operated Barber's Tire and Service Station in O'Brien.

He was a lifelong resident of Suwannee County.

Mr. Barber was a member of O'Brien Baptist Church and Woodmen of the World.

Survivors include a daughter, Myrna L. McCall of Perry; and three grandchildren.

Warren Carnright Sr.

OLD TOWN - Warren Carnright Sr. of Old Town died Sunday at his home. He was 72.

Mr. Carnright was a retired ironworker.

Born in Blossburg, Pa., he moved from Troy, Pa., to Old Town 13 years ago.

He was an elder for the Cross City congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce Carnright of Old Town; two sons, Warren Carnright Jr. of Old Town and David Carnright of Mahoopany, Pa.; three daughters, Marilyn Sine and Anita Reeser, both of Old Town, and Fay Cochran of Athens, Ga.; a brother, Donald Carnright of Washington state; five sisters, Wilma Schucker of Dundee, N.Y., Hazel Brooks of Blossburg, Virginia Carnright and Joyce Phippin, both of Lancaster, Pa., and Connie Solomon of New Milford, Pa.; 15 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Joyce Cooper

Joyce Cooper of Durham, N.C., died Thursday in Durham. She was 91.

Miss Cooper retired as professor in the department of elementary education at the University of Florida.

Born in Raleigh, N.C., she moved from Gainesville to Durham eight months ago.

She graduated from the University of North Carolina in Greensboro, received a master's degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and an ED.D degree from Teachers College at Columbia University.

Miss Cooper was a member of University United Methodist Church, Gainesville Soroptomist International Service Club, Childhood Education International and Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development.

Survivors include numerous nephews and nieces.

Gertie L. Harmon

LIVE OAK - Gertie L. Harmon of Live Oak died Tuesday at Columbia Lake City Medical Center. She was 83.

Mrs. Harmon was a homemaker and a member of Hale Baptist Church in Michigan.

Born in Watauga Township, N.C., she moved from Michigan to Live Oak 10 years ago.

She was preceded in death by her husband, C.W. Harmon.

Survivors include a son, John Harmon of Live Oak; two sisters, Grace Trivett and Berlie Harmon, both of Beech Creek, N.C.; a brother, Martin Harmon of Live Oak; a grandson; and four great-grandchildren.

Kathryn C. Mickalonis

Kathryn C. Mickalonis of Gainesville died Monday in Gainesville. She was 81.

Mrs. Mickalonis was a homemaker and a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Morristown, Tenn.

Born in Mechanicville, N.Y., she moved from Morristown to Gainesville six years ago.

She enjoyed dancing.

Survivors include a daughter, Maura A. Moore of Gainesville; two sons, Francis S. Conroy of Gainesville and Martin P. Mickalonis of Bonaire, Ga.; a brother, Joseph Conroy of New York; a sister, Joan Fitzpatrick of Mechanicville; and four grandchildren.

Charlotte Logan Hunt

Charlotte Logan Hunt of Gainesville died Thursday at her home. She was 93.

Mrs. Hunt was a former social worker in New York City. She was born in Salem, Va., and moved from Stuart to Gainesville in 1993.

Mrs. Hunt was preceded in death by her husband, A. Bruce Hunt.

Survivors include two sons, D. Burks Hunt of Gainesville and A. Bruce Hunt of Clinton, S.C.; a sister, Katherine T. Logan of Gainesville; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Expressions of sympathy may be made by donations to Hospice of North Central Florida.
