Jerry Albritton
HORSESHOE BEACH -- Jerry Albritton of Horseshoe Beach died Monday at Shands at AGH in Gainesville.
He was 88.
Mr. Albritton was a commercial fisherman.
He was a lifelong resident of Dixie County.
Mr. Albritton was a member of Church of God in Horseshoe Beach.
Survivors include a sister, Elvie Newman of Cross City; and several nieces and nephews.
Mary Louise Boyd
CHIEFLAND -- Mary Louise Boyd of Chiefland died Tuesday at Hospice House in Gainesville after a long illness.
She was 78.
Mrs. Boyd was a homemaker and a member of Hardeetown Baptist Church in Chiefland.
She was born in Dade City and moved from Tarpon Springs to Chiefland 30 years ago.
Mrs. Boyd was preceded in death by a daughter, Thelma Mock.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Lee Boyd Jr. of Chiefland; three daughters, Merelois N. Lewis and Janice Marie Ward, both of Chiefland, and Frances Young of New Port Richie; two sons, Jimmy L. Boyd of Chiefland and Robert Boyd III of Crystal River; a sister, Ella Mae Cannon of Lakeland; 22 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; and 70 great-great-grandchildren.
Mary Florence Nix Cowart
STARKE -- Mary Florence Nix Cowart of Starke died Tuesday at her home.
She was 80.
Mrs. Cowart was a homemaker and a member of the Pentecostal Church in Gainesville.
She was born in Florence, Ala., and moved from Livingston, Texas, to Starke 59 years ago.
Survivors include two sons, the Rev. James Cowart of Starke and Tommy Cowart of High Springs; four daughters, Louise Aldridge and Elaine Wynn, both of Starke, Pat Woodard of St. Marys, Ga., and Gail Mansfield of Gainesville; a sister, Dessie Cowart of Starke; two brothers, Alvie Nix of Louisiana and Simon Nix of Beaumont, Texas; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Sidney Roy Hall
Sidney Roy Hall of Gainesville died Monday at Hospice House in Gainesville after a long illness.
He was 76.
Mr. Hall was a former dairy farmer and was retired from Lewis Oil Co. in Gainesville.
He was born in Hannibal, N.Y., and lived most of his life in New York before moving from Lakeland to Gainesville 21 years ago.
Mr. Hall was a member of the First Christian Church of Lake Butler and of the Masonic Lodge of Hannibal.
Survivors include his wife, Iris C. Hall of Gainesville; three daughters, Kathryn Lemister and Sharleen Hall, both of Lakeland, and Jeanette Hoffman of Hernando Beach; a son, Leslie Hall of Orlando; two step-daughters, Sandra Cannella of Apex, N.C., and Sherrie Dyal of Alachua; a sister, Dorothea Cole of Port Byron, N.Y.; a brother, Franklin Hall of Jacksonville; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Annette Wills Haufler
Annette Wills Haufler of Gainesville died Monday at North Florida Regional Medical Center.
She was 78.
Mrs. Haufler was a bookkeeper for Haufler Brothers, a family farming and real estate development business.
She was born in Nicholasville, Ky., and moved from Nicholasville to Gainesville 72 years ago.
Mrs. Haufler was a past president of the State Agriculture Extension Office Homemaker's Group, and was a member of Alachua General Hospital Auxiliary, the Tree City Quilter's Guild, the First Christian Church, and CWF, a women's church group at the First Christian Church.
Survivors include her husband, Eugene B. Haufler of Gainesville; a daughter, Sandra Sontag of Gainesville; a son, Raymond E. Haufler of Gainesville; a brother, Stanley Veatch of Jacksonville; a sister, Catherine Butler of Gainesville; and two grandsons.
Cheryl Daugherty Lyons
Cheryl Daugherty Lyons of Gainesville died Thursday in Gainesville at Shands at the University of Florida.
She was 25.
Mrs. Lyons was a lifelong resident of Gainesville. She was a homemaker and graduated from Gainesville High School.
She is survived by her husband, Michael Eugene Lyons of Gainesville; a daughter, Crystal Marie Lyons of Gainesville; her father, Walter K. Daugherty of Gainesville; her mother, Dilly Ford Moore of South Florida; four sisters, Kimberly Daugherty of Orlando, Linda Elliott and Sharon Webb, both of Keystone Heights, and Denise Bennett of Callahan; her grandmother, Judy Mobley of Palatka; and her grandfather, Miller Ford of Gainesville.
Helen Waibel Summerton
CHIEFLAND -- Helen Waibel Summerton of Chiefland died Saturday in Chiefland.
She was 85.
Mrs. Summerton was a bookkeeper. She also volunteered for the Salvation Army in Connecticut.
She was born in New Canaan, Conn., and moved from Rowayten, Conn., to Chiefland six years ago.
Mrs. Summerton was a member of the Family Bible Chapel in Chiefland, the American Association of Retired Persons and the Society to Advance the Retarded.
Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Clarence A. Summerton of Chiefland; a son, David A. Summerton of Chiefland; a daughter, Glenna S. Howard of Chiefland; a sister, Hazel Foote of Santa Barbara, Calif.; a brother, Roger Waibel of Hendersonville, N.C.; one granddaughter; and two great-grandchildren.

Grace McCall Williams
Grace McCall Williams of Washington, N.C., died Sept. 9 in Washington.
She was 96.
Mrs. Williams was a retired candy buyer for Ivey's Department Store in Charlotte, N.C.
She was born in Mecklenburg County, N.C.
Mrs. Williams was a member of the Tabernacle Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include a daughter; a son, Ernest Chester Williams Jr. of Alachua; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Elbert Carlisle
Elbert Carlisle of Gainesville died Friday at his home. He was 72.
Mr. Carlisle was retired from the furniture repair shop at the University of Florida Division of Housing.
He was born in Miami and moved from Newberry to Gainesville.
He played harmonica in the group The Harpers, which played at churches and other charitable organizations in the Gainesville area.
He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, gardening and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Mary H. Carlisle of Gainesville; two sons, Lester V. Carlisle of Gainesville and Roy L. Carlisle of Alachua; a twin brother, Herbert Carlisle of Hawthorne; a sister, Mary Squires of Hawthorne; and three grandchildren.
