Daniel Loyd Johnson

CHIEFLAND - Daniel Loyd Johnson died Wednesday at North Florida Regional Medical Center. He was 37.

Mr. Johnson was born in Greenville, S.C., and moved to Chiefland from Orlando in 1993.

He was a Protestant. He enjoyed golfing.

Survivors include his wife, Shawn Stewart of Chiefland; a daughter, Danielle Johnson of Chiefland; sons Nicholas and Tyler Johnson, both of Chiefland; his parents, Claude and Judith Johnson of Chiefland; a sister, Lori Perkins of Ocala; and a brother, Philip Martin of St. Petersburg.

Donald Paul Johnson

Donald Paul Johnson of Gainesville died Saturday in a motorcycle accident on Archer Road. He was 38.

Mr. Johnson was born in Bronx, N.Y., and moved to Gainesville 10 years ago.

He was an electrician and a Baptist.

Survivors include his wife, Julie Vinson Johnson of Gainesville; a son, Donald Johnson Jr. of Gainesville; stepdaughters Chantey Brown, Crystal Vinson and Chevon Johnson, all of Gainesville; a stepson, Wyndell Brown of Gainesville; sisters, Patricia Johnson of Virginia, Norma Hinson of New York and Vanessa Tirado of New York City; brothers Michael Johnson of Miami and Perry Johnson of New York City.

Eddie Lee King Sr.

Eddie Lee King Sr., a lifelong Gainesville resident, died Jan. 31 at Shands at AGH following a brief illness. He was 63.

Mr. King was a service manager for Westgate Mobile Home Dealership. He was a Baptist.

Survivors include his wife, Sirletree L. King of Gainesville; a son, Eddie L. King Jr. of Gainesville; a daughter, Edriena King of Gainesville; stepsons, Rodney Sheffield, Jacoby Sheffield and Daryl Wilkerson, all of Gainesville; brothers Calvin Debose, Robert Debose, Nerval Henderson and James Henderson, all of Gainesville; sisters Joanne Carter, Belvaline Henderson and Bonnie Means, all of Gainesville, and Theresa Henderson of Palmetto, and four grand-children.

Elizabeth Welch-Thomas

REDDICK - Elizabeth Welch-Thomas, a lifelong resident of Reddick, died Monday at Ocala Regional Medical Center. She was 96.

She was a homemaker and a Pentecostal.

Survivors include daughters Dosha Johnson and Ruby Mosley, both of Clearwater, and Lizzie Mae Crawford and Ernestine Blunt, both of Reddick; sons Walter Thomas of Chicago, and Robert and James Thomas, both of Reddick; and 48 grandchildren.

Charmayne B. Pittenger

OLD TOWN - Charmayne B. Pittenger died Monday at her residence. She was 64.

Mrs. Pittenger lived in Shelby, Ohio, and wintered in Old Town.

She was a homemaker. She attended the Assembly of God Church in Cross City.

Survivors include sons Jerry Loose of Clio, Mich., Michael Loose of Old Town and John Loose of Brooksville; a daughter, Dawn Carr of St. Petersburg; a sister, Dee Kraak of Kenosha, Wis.; a brother, Don Berry of Minnesota; seven grandchildren and a great- grandchild.

Andrew Lee Sr.

CHIEFLAND - Andrew Lee Sr., a lifelong resident of Chiefland, died Jan. 31 at Shands at the University of Florida following a brief illness. He was 90.

Mr. Lee was a retired logger and a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church of Chiefland, where he served as a deacon. He was a former member of the Levy County Housing Authority and past president of the Levy County branch of the NAACP.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mable Lee; a son, James Peter Lee; and a daughter Mayola Wilcox.

Survivors include sons Andrew Lee Jr. and Herbert J. Lee, both of Chiefland, and Carl S. Lee and Lester Lee, both of Gainesville; daughters Essie Mae Sheffield and Amanda Brown, both of Chiefland; 25 grandchildren, 63 great-grandchildren and 36 great- great-grandchildren.

Mitchell D. Rabb

KEYSTONE HEIGHTS - Mitchell D. Rabb died Wednesday at Shands at Starke following a brief illness.

He was 67.

Mr. Rabb was born in Monticello, S.C., and moved to Keystone Heights from Jacksonville in 1967.

He was a retired prosthetist and orthotist. He was a member of the Keystone Heights Community Church.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia A. Rabb of Keystone Heights; daughters Mary White of Keystone Heights and Laura Rabb of Washington, D.C.; a son, James Rabb of Keystone Heights; a sister, Bernice Reed of Miami; brothers Thomas Rabb of Cleveland and John Rabb of Pevely, Mo.; his stepmother, Frances Rabb of Pevely; and nine grandchildren.

Elvie Lockhart Williams

Elvie Lockhart Williams of Gainesville died Saturday at Shands at AGH following a lengthy illness. She was 77.

Mrs. Williams was born in Cordele, Ga., and moved to Gainesville from Hague 53 years ago.

She was a homemaker and a member of Hopewell Baptist Church, where she served as church mother and choir member.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Williams Sr.

Survivors include sons Willie Clyde Williams, Jessie Williams Jr., James O. Williams and Cleveland Williams, all of Gainesville, Leonard Williams of Fairfield, Calif., and Carlos Williams of Lake Butler; daughters Eddie Mae Gainey of Brooker, Alene W. Mayberry and Carolyn Ross, both of Gainesville, and Linda Williams of Silver Springs; a stepdaughter, Barbara Johnson of LaCrosse; a stepson, Charles Hicks of Gainesville; 44 grandchildren and 75 great-grandchildren.

Douglas Alvord Barlow

CHIEFLAND - Douglas Alvord Barlow of Chiefland died Tuesday in a car accident. He was 68.

Mr. Barlow was born in Tampa and moved to Chiefland from Plant City 20 years ago.

He was a building contractor and a master electrician.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Mr. Barlow was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ocala.

Survivors include his wife, Sally Barlow of Ocala; three sons, Marcus Barlow of Atlanta, Douglas A. Barlow Jr. of Huntsville, Ala., and Stephen Barlow of Trenton; a stepdaughter, Ovada Waldron of Ocala; a stepson, Preston Waldron of Ocala; two brothers, Bill Barlow of St. Petersburg and Clark Barlow of Tampa; and a grandson.

Sarah Virginia Colson Bielling

LAKE BUTLER - Sarah Virginia Colson Bielling of Lake Butler died Thursday at North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville following an extended illness. She was 91.

Mrs. Bielling was born in Bradford County and lived in Lake Butler and Worthington Springs most of her life. She was a homemaker and a member of Sardis Baptist Church of Worthington Springs.

She and her late husband, Angus S. Bielling, owned and operated Bielling's Dairy near Worthington Springs.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Thomas H. Rimes, and a grandson, William Rimes.

Survivors include a daughter, Mary Virginia Williams of Lake Butler; a son, Colson Rimes of Lebanon, Tenn.; 14 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and eight great- great-grandchildren.

Arthur Jerome Brown

HIGH SPRINGS - Arthur Jerome Brown died Monday at his home in High Springs. He was 67.

Mr. Brown was born in Key West and moved to High Springs from St. Petersburg 40 years ago.

He owned and operated A. Jerome Brown Funeral Home for 40 years and served as a pastor at the Suwannee River District of the African Methodist Episcopal Church for more than 20 years. He was a member of Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church in High Springs.

Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Mildred S. Brown of High Springs; five daughters, Joyce Brown Robinson of Leesburg, Amelia J. Brown of Jacksonville, Alice Brown of High Springs, Jennifer Brown Harris of Clearwater and Janice Brown-Galloway of High Springs; his stepmother, Lena Brown of Vero Beach; a sister, Peggy Harris of Fort Pierce; a brother, Lindsay Brown of Jensen Beach; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
