Lynetta Louise Adam
Lynetta Louise Adam of Gainesville died Tuesday at Shands at AGH. She was 63.
She retired from the Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences at the University of Florida in 1997, where she had worked for 10 years.
Born in Leesburg, she moved to Gainesville from Ocala. She graduated from Ocala High School and attended Polk Community College for two years.
She was a Baptist.
She is survived by a daughter, Vicki Jenkins of Gainesville; and a sister, Amanda Moseley of Ocala.
John Allen Falkenburry
OLD TOWN -- John Allen Falkenburry of Old Town died Tuesday in his home. He was 75.
Mr. Falkenburry was a gunsmith. He was a master mason of the Fort Elmor Smith Lodge in St. Petersburg, and he was a member of the National Rifle Association.
Mr. Falkenburry served in World War II and the Korean War.
He was born in Gulfport, Miss., and moved to Old Town from St. Petersburg more than 70 years ago.
He was survived by his lifelong companion and friend, Diana S. Burke of Old Town; a son, David Falkenburry of Phoenix; a daughter, Jennie Riggs of Lexington, Ky.; a sister, Mary Reynolds of Cross City; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Florence Nell Lee
Florence Nell Lee of Gainesville died Saturday. She was 74.
She was an accounting clerk.
Born in Kanawa, W.Va., she moved to Gainesville 30 years ago from Egg Harbor, N.J.
She was a member of Moravian Church of Egg Harbor.
In the last 10 years, she took several trips to England, France, Austria, Germany and Alaska.
She was survived by a daughter, Lynda L. Lee of Columbia, Md.; and a sister, Evelyn Tessler of Mantua, N.J.
Inez Lorraine Newcomb
CHIEFLAND -- Inez Lorraine Newcomb of Chiefland died Monday at North Florida Regional Medical Center. She was 84.
She was a homemaker.
She was born in Trilby and moved to Chiefland 28 years ago.
She was a member of Joppa Baptist Church in Trenton. She enjoyed playing bingo and card games.
Survivors include two daughters, Joyce Holubek of Chiefland and Betty Yoder of Vieques, Puerto Rico; a sister, Anne Conner of Inverness; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
Charlie F. Roberts
LAKE BUTLER -- Charlie F. Roberts of Lake Butler died Wednesday morning in the Brookwood Nursing Center in Starke after a long illness. He was 81.
He was a lifelong resident of Union County and was a retired correctional officer from Florida State Prison.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints of Lake Butler.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Maggie Roberts of Lake Butler.
Survivors include a daughter, Sandra R. Wade of Lake Butler; a son, Hugh W. Roberts of Lake Butler; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Geraldine B. Sasser
ARCHER -- Geraldine B. Sasser of Archer died Monday at the Hospice House. She was 62.
She was a homemaker.
Born in Hartford, Ala., Mrs. Sasser moved to Archer 25 years ago.
She was survived by her husband, Gene Sasser of Archer; a daughter, Kimberly Denise Bader of Archer; a son, Kevin Gene Sasser of Fort Walton Beach; a brother, Robert E. Byrd of Jacksonville; and six grandchildren.

Jimmie L. Smith
Jimmie L. "Peter" Smith of Chiefland died unexpectedly Saturday at Nature Coast Hospital. He was 68.
He was a retired self-employed mason.
He was born in Monticello and moved to Chiefland many years ago.
He was a member of the Church of God by Faith in Raleigh. He was an ordained deacon and served as a Sunday school superintendent, a member of the finance board at both the local and district level and as a member of the choir.
He was survived by his wife, Odessa Smith of Williston; his mother, Ollie Smith of Monticello; four daughters, Barbara Allen of Detroit, Virginia Graham of Williston, and Patricia Bunkley and Chola Jean Little, both of Tampa; two sons, L.A. Mincey of Williston and Dennis Lewis of Gainesville; eight sisters, Maggie Smith of Jacksonville, Carrie E. Light and Rosa Nelson, both of Philadelphia, Janie Brockton of Wildwood, Mandy Connolley, Rose Mary Dawkins and Della Rogers, all of Orlando, and Theresa Hendly of DeLand; two brothers, John Nelson of Monticello and David Stebbins of Washington, D.C.; and numerous grandchildren and great- grandchildren.
Laura Elizabeth Stall
Laura Elizabeth Stall of Gainesville died in her home Tuesday. She was 67.
Mrs. Stall graduated from Santa Fe Community College and the University of Florida. She was a real estate agent with Prudential of Gainesville.
Born in Ottawa, Ohio, she moved to Gainesville from Fort Pierce 35 years ago.
She enjoyed traveling and she visited many countries.
She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Robert Stall of Gainesville; two sons, Ronald Stall of San Francisco and David Stall of Orlando; two brothers, Ray Burkholder of Pandora, Ohio, and Clare Burkholder of East Liberty, Ohio; and three sisters, Velma Basinger and Vera Allgire, both of Bluffton, Ohio, and Jessie Nash of Ottawa, Ohio.

Brenda Gay Williamson
Brenda Gay Williamson of Jacksonville died Saturday at Shands at the University of Florida. She was 52.
She moved to Jacksonville from Fayetteville, N.C. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.
She is survived by her husband, James H. Williamson of Jacksonville; two daughters, Marinda Hollan and Deanna Liford, both of Jacksonville; two sons, Trevor Liford and Jeremy J. Williamson, both of Jacksonville; four sisters, Peggy Beer, Patsy Williams, Betty Joyce Lyle and Tootsie Moore, all of North Carolina; and a brother, R.T. Moore of North Carolina.
Loys Johnson, building school pioneer, dies
A University of Florida educator who helped transform a program into the School of Building Construction has died.
Loys A. Johnson of Gainesville died Tuesday at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Gainesville. He was 91. Mr. Johnson was a professor emeritus at the University of Florida and retired in 1991 after serving in several capacities with the school. He was the chairman of the Department of Building Construction from 1963-73.
He was a graduate of South Dakota State University and received a master's degree in civil engineering from the University of Wisconsin in 1931.
Mr. Johnson retired as a commander from the U.S. Navy after 20 years of service and moved to Gainesville to begin a teaching career.
He was inducted in the UF School of Building Construction Hall of Fame as a Distinguished Educator. Mr. Johnson belonged to many organizations, including the American Society of Civil Engineers and the Associated Schools of Construction, which he helped found.
He was a member of University Lutheran Church. Mr. Johnson was born in Volga, S.D., and moved from New Orleans to Gainesville 39 years ago.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Mooney Johnson of Gainesville; a son, Loys F. Johnson of Nashville, Tenn.; three daughters, Eunice V. Johnson and Dawn M. O'Byrne, both of Gainesville, and Claire E. Baggarly of Rockledge; a sister, Eunice Vilmont of Ames, Iowa; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Robert Lee Johnson
Robert Lee Johnson of Gainesville died Thursday in Hot Springs, Ark., while visiting his daughters. He was 82.
Mr. Johnson was the former co-owner of Johnson Brothers and also Johnson Faris Seed and Feed, both in Gainesville. He also served in the Armed Forces in World War II.
He was born in Anthony and moved to Gainesville 53 years ago.
Mr. Johnson was an officer in the Florida Seedmen's Association and the Southern Seedmen's Association, was a member of the Rotary Club and the BPO Elks Lodge No. 990 and was a founding member of the Church of the Holy Communion in Hawthorne.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Rosemary Whitney Johnson.
Survivors include two daughters, Regina J. Carroll and Rosemary J. Sherrard, both of Hot Springs; and three grandchildren.
