Susan A. Butler

Susan A. Butler died Tuesday at her residence in Gainesville following a sudden illness. She was 46.

Mrs. Butler was born in Gainesville, Texas, and moved here 15 years ago.

She was a homemaker and a Methodist.

Survivors include her husband, Jimmy D. Butler of Gainesville, Fla.; a son, James W. Butler of Gainesville, Fla.; her parents, Robert and Jennie Beaty of Tyler, Texas; a sister, Janet Jones of Dallas; and two brothers, Robert Beaty of College Station, Texas, and John Beaty of Tyler.

James Patrick Kevin Larkin

CHIEFLAND -- James Patrick Kevin Larkin died Friday at Shands at AGH in Gainesville. He was 91.

Mr. Larkin was born in Ballinagrand, Balla, County Mayo, Ireland. He moved to Chiefland from Naples three years ago.

He retired from the railroad industry in Maryland.

He was Catholic.

Mr. Larkin is survived by his wife, Juanita Larkin of Chiefland; a stepson, Carroll Lancaster of Old Town; a brother, Martin Larkin of County Mayo, Ireland, and a step-grandchild, Daniel Lancaster of Valrico.

Walter Arnold Radcliffe

BRONSON -- Walter Arnold Radcliffe of Bronson died Monday at his home after an extended illness. He was 82.

Mr. Radcliffe was born in Revere, Mass., and moved to Florida in 1960.

He was a photographer and lithographer who served his country in World War II. He retired from Color Corp. in Tampa before moving to Bronson.

He was a member of the John Darling Masonic Lodge No. 154 F & AM of Tampa.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Sylvia Radcliffe of Bronson; two sons, Peter Radcliffe and Clinton Radcliffe, both of Tampa; two daughters, Deborah Ward of Tampa and Kerry Dressler of Micanopy; six grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.

Warren Harding Tillbrook

HAWTHORNE -- Warren Harding Tillbrook died Sunday at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Gainesville. He was 79.

Born in Milford, Conn., he moved to Hawthorne from Lake City 10 years ago.

He worked in sales and service in sewing machines.

Mr. Tillbrook was a member of the U.S. Army. He was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Interlachen.

He is survived by his companion, Marjorie Purdy of Hawthorne; a daughter, Ainslee Tillbrook of San Francisco; a son, Robert Tillbrook of Crane Hill, Ala.; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Emily P. Waldron

ALACHUA -- Emily P. Waldron of Alachua died Monday at North Florida Regional Medical Center. She was 57.

Born in LaCrosse, she was a lifelong resident of Alachua.

She was a computer instructor with the Alachua County School Board.

Mrs. Waldron had ties to Mount Zion Baptist Church in Blackshear, Ga.

She is survived by her husband, John L. Waldron of Alachua; a daughter, Kristie Waldron of Daytona Beach; three brothers, Gene Thomas of Gainesville, Joe Thomas of LaCrosse and Ken Thomas of Newberry.

Patrick Kennon Johnson

HIGH SPRINGS - Patrick Kennon "P.K." Johnson of High Springs died Saturday at his home. He was 68.

Mr. Johnson was born in High Springs and was a lifelong resident. He was a railroad yardmaster, working for 39 years with Atlantic Coast Line, Seaboard Coast Line and CSX. He served in the U.S. Army and was a member of First Baptist Church of High Springs.

Survivors include his wife, Patsy Johnson of High Springs; his mother, Gladys Johnson of High Springs; one son, Ken Johnson of High Springs; one daughter, Lori Clark of Alachua; four brothers, Oliver Johnson of Jacksonville Beach, Paul Johnson of Chiefland and Richard Johnson and Carl Johnson, both of Lake City; two sisters, Jeannette Clemons of Gainesville and Marian Buzbee of Alachua; and three grandchildren.

Theresa A. Russell

Theresa A. Russell of Gainesville died Saturday in Gainesville. She was 35.

Mrs. Russell was born in Kansas City, Kan., and moved to Gainesville from Alexandria, Va., four years ago. She was secretary at Keep Alachua County Beautiful and was a member of Westside Baptist Church.

Survivors include a companion, Roy Watson of Gainesville; two daughters, Stefanie Renee Budd and Christine Marie Budd, both of Gainesville; one son, Tyler Allen Russell, of Gainesville; her mother, Cecilia Bowen of Hawthorne; her father, Robert Jay Bowen of Woodbridge, Va.; one brother, Robert Mark Bowen of Doboj, Bosnia; and maternal grandparents, Cecil C. and Era Williams of Hawthorne.

Robert E. Bayliss

LAKE GENEVA -- Robert E. Bayliss of Lake Geneva died Friday at Shands at Jacksonville. He was 78.

Mr. Bayliss was born in Cornish, N.H., and moved to Lake Geneva in 1991.

He was a supervisor with the New Hampshire State Road Department, retiring after 43 years of service. He also served as fire warden of the Cornish Fire Department.

Mr. Bayliss served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of the Lions Club in Cornish and the United Church, both in Cornish.

Survivors include a daughter, Pam Bayliss of Hawthorne; a son, Ronald Bayliss of Lake Geneva; a sister, Olive Miller of Windsor, Vt.; and a granddaughter, Megan Howell.

Expressions of sympathy may be made as donations to the United Church of Cornish.

Robert Lee Carlisle

CITRA -- Robert Lee Carlisle of Citra died Thursday at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center. He was 68.

Mr. Carlisle was a native of Tampa and moved to Citra from Cross City 15 years ago.

He was an insurance salesman and a member of Victory Baptist Church in Citra.

Survivors include his wife, Katherine Carlisle of Citra; six daughters, Christine Lubin and Sheila Brown, both of Old Town, Gail Jerrells and Robin Langford, both of Cross City, Sharon Leger of Trenton and Denna Montanez of Citra; two brothers, Alfred Carlisle of Zephyrhills and Jack Carlisle of Tampa; 20 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Parris Pauline Dykes Green

Parris Pauline Dykes Green of Gainesville died Thursday at Integrated Health Service Nursing Home. She was 88.

Mrs. Green was born in Warrior, Ala., and moved to Gainesville from Jacksonville in 1980.

She was a homemaker and a member of University Boulevard Chapel Church of God in Jacksonville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kirby B. Green Sr.; and a son, John Preston Green.

Survivors include a son, Kirby B. Green Jr. of Gainesville; two daughters-in-law, Christine B. Green of Gainesville and Sandra M. Green of Atlanta; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Expressions of sympathy may be made as donations to the Alzheimer's Association.

Margaret Ann McArdle Hughes

Margaret Ann McArdle Hughes of Gainesville died Tuesday in Bloomington, Ind. She was 80.

Mrs. Hughes was born in North Dakota and lived in Montana and Washington before moving to Gainesville in 1984.

She was an executive with Marshall Field & Co.

She attended the University of Washington, where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority.

Survivors include her husband, Raymond Hughes of Bloomington; two daughters, Ann Elizabeth Hughes of Gainesville and Sarah Jane Hughes of Bloomington; a sister, Florence Hoagland of Ladue, Mo.; a brother, James J. McArdle of Redmond, Wash.; and three grandchildren, Morey Elizabeth Barnes, Laura LeHardy Barnes and Catherine Farrell Barnes.

Glenis Lorene Johnston

Glenis Lorene Johnston of Gainesville died Wednesday at Shands at AGH. She was 66.

Mrs. Johnston was born in Wedowee, Ala., and moved to Gainesville from Lowell, Ga., in 1986.

She was a caregiver and a Baptist.

Survivors include four daughters, Myra Clifton of Gainesville, Deborah Clifton of Archer, Shelia Wright of Franklin, Ga., and Kathy Rainey of Carrollton, Ga.; two sons, David Clifton and Edward Clifton, both of Gainesville; a sister, Peggy of California; three brothers, Bobby Fowler and Jerry Fowler, both of La Grange, Ga., and Freddy Fowler of Orlando; 16 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
