Nita Pullin

STEINHATCHEE -- Nita Pullin of Steinhatchee died Saturday at Health Central in Orlando. She was 79.

Mrs. Pullin was born in Starkeville, Miss., and moved to Steinhatchee from Trenton two years ago.

She was a homemaker and a Baptist.

Survivors include a daughter, Judith Caughman of Orlando; a son, Duddley Pullin of Orlando; eight sisters, Hazel Boyington, Shirley Dickey, Betty Patterson, Merle Reed and Louise Lyons, all of Steinhatchee, Nette Peirce and Carol Beasley, both of Pensacola, Dale Martin of Lillian, Ala.; two brothers, Jack Boyington and Earl Boyington, both of Steinhatchee; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Lois J. Rayburn

Lois J. Rayburn of Gainesville died Monday. She was 78.

She was born in Sugar Valley, Ga., and moved to Gainesville from Edgefield, S.C., 40 years ago. She was a secretary, homemaker and a Sunday school teacher.

She was a member of Lake Forest Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Jerome "Jerry" Rayburn Sr. of Gainesville; two sons, Tom Rayburn of Fort Bliss, Texas, and Marty Rayburn of Bradenton; a daughter-in-law, Brenda Rayburn of Fort Bliss; a sister, Arietta Cunard of Smyrna, Ga.; and three grandchildren.

Walter Elisha Reagan

HAWTHORNE -- Walter Elisha Reagan of Hawthorne died Sunday at North Florida Regional Medical Center after an extended illness. He was 51.

Mr. Reagan was born in Jacksonville and spent most of his life in the Starke area. He was a member of Sampson City Church of God.

He owned and operated an auto sales repair shop and was a construction contractor for the government.

Survivors include his wife, Wanda Reagan of Hawthorne; a daughter, Marsha Reagan of Hawthorne; a son, Weston Reagan of Hawthorne; his mother, Cleone Reagan of Starke; a brother, Philip Reagan of Starke; and two sisters, Linda Sain of Jacksonville and Sarah Massey of Starke.

Werner Paul Schuman

HAWTHORNE -- Werner Paul Schuman of Hawthorne died Thursday in Gainesville. He was 46.

Born in Summit, N.J., he moved from Gainesville to Hawthorne 15 years ago.

Mr. Schuman was a vice president with Optical Polymer Research Inc. and a member of the First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Stephanie McConnell of Dothan, Ala.; two sons, Austin Schuman and Travis Schuman, both of Gainesville; his father, Paul Schuman of Hawthorne; a brother, Kurt Schuman of Gainesville; and two sisters, Pam Faison and Kitty Buffenmeyer, both Hawthorne.

Vanessa V. Voitle

ALACHUA -- Vanessa Virginia Voitle of Alachua died Saturday in Gainesville following a sudden illness. She was 40.

Mrs. Voitle was born in Parkersburg, W.Va., and moved to Alachua from Gainesville five years ago.

She was a district manager for Magna Vision and was an Episcopalian.

Survivors include a companion, Bradly Johnson of Alachua; her mother and stepfather, Twila T. and Eugene C. Stivender of Gainesville; her father and stepmother, Robert A. and Linda Voitle of Auburn, Ala.; a sister, Elizabeth A. Voitle of Auburn; two brothers, Christian B. Voitle Sr. of Alachua and Robert A. Voitle Jr. of Auburn; a stepsister, Andrea Stivender of Gainesville; a stepbrother, E. Scott Stivender of Slidell, La.; two nephews, C. Blair Voitle Jr. of Cooper City and Cody Bryce Voitle of Alachua; her maternal grandmother, Isabell Thompson of Parkersburg; an uncle, James Winans of Belpre, Ohio; and an aunt, Winifred Dailey of Parkersburg.

Charles Welch

HIGH SPRINGS -- Charles Welch of High Springs died Saturday at North Florida Regional Medical Center. He was 78.

Mr. Welch was born in Waynesboro, Ga., and moved to High Springs 63 years ago.

He retired from CSX Railroad in 1982, after 41 years of service.

He was a member of and a deacon at First Baptist Church of High Springs.

Mr. Welch was a member of the High Springs City Commission and a past president of the High Springs Rotary Club.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Delle Welch of High Springs; three daughters, Mary Katheryn Radford of Live Oak, Sylvia Loar of Alachua and Connie Welch of Floral City; a sister, Mildred Bridges of High Springs; a brother, Robert Johnson of Jacksonville; four grandchildren; and four great- grandhildren.

Morris Woodall

OLD TOWN -- Morris "Woody" Woodall of Old Town died Friday. He was 81.

Mr. Woodall was a lifelong resident of Dixie County.

He was a Baptist.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a prisoner of war.

He was preceded in death by his wives, Dorothy Revels Woodall and Jeanette Hatch Woodall.

Survivors include a son, Sammy Woodall of Cross City; two daughters, Margaret Ward of Plant City and Linda Pemberton of Clemmon, N.C.; a stepson, Bobby Hatch of Cross City; three stepdaughters, Vida Faye Weeks of Suwannee, Mary Jo Stutts of Cross City and Helen Locklear of Old Town; a sister, Iris Collins of Old Town; 16 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Norma Jean Davis

Norma Jean Davis of Old Town died Saturday at North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville following a brief illness.

She was 65.

Mrs. Davis was a homemaker.

Born in Cedar Key, she lived all of her life in Levy and Dixie counties.

She attended the Levy County schools and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Otter Creek.

Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her father, Edward Mann Tucker; mother, Edna Mae Tucker; sister, Romilda Tucker; and brother Edward Tucker.

Survivors include her husband, Jimmie Davis of Old Town; son, Charles Tucker of Old Town; daughter Blinda J. O'Neal of Wildwood; sister, Edna Tucker of Starke; two brothers, Charles R. Tucker of Homosassa Springs and James Tucker of Clermont; three grandchildren; and five great- grandchildren.

Judson Bruce Douglas Sr.

Judson Bruce Douglas Sr. of Gainesville died Friday in Lake City of a heart attack.

He was 51.

Mr. Douglas, a graduate of Columbia High School in Lake City and of the University of Florida, was owner and operator of a public relations marketing firm. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Mr. Douglas was also co-captain of the 1967 Columbia High School state championship football team.

Survivors include his wife, Debra Lee Fryer Douglas of Gainesville; daughters, Helen Celeste Douglas and Leigh Anne Douglas of Gainesville; son, Judson Bruce Douglas Jr. of Athens, Ga.; and brothers, Robert Clayton of Gainesville and Wayne, Marshall and Vernon Douglas, all of Lake City.

Lola Pearl Jackson

Lola Pearl Jackson of Gainesville died Friday in Gainesville. She was 88.

Mrs. Jackson was a homemaker and a Christian.

She was born in Illinois and came to this area from Titusville in 1996.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel A. Jackson, and grandson, Keith Reid Quillen Jr.

Survivors include a daughter, Elaine J. Brandenburg of Gainesville; son-in-law, Emory Brandenburg of Gainesville; granddaughter, Karen Love; grandson-in-law, Donnie Love; granddaughter, Jana Jones; and great- grandsons, Justin and Colton Jones.

Marjorie B. Wells

Marjorie B. Wells of Macclenny died Saturday in the Hospice Care Center in Gainesville following a brief illness. She was 77.

Mrs. Wells had resided in Macclenny all of her life and was the daughter of the late Benjamin F. and Evelyn Dopson Jones, and the widow of the late W. Frank Wells.

She was employed with the Ccity of Macclenny for more than 25 years until her retirement in 1971. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Glen St. Mary.

She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Michele Lascola.

Survivors include a daughter, Kathy Lascola of Gainesville; a stepdaughter, Betty Jean Wells of Macclenny; two sisters, Joyce Odom of Macclenny and Bettye Dickinson of Jacksonville; granddaughter, Kristin Lascola of Gainesville; step-grandson, Denny Wells of Macclenny; and two step-great-grandchildren, Kimberly and Amy Wells.

Ruth Ann Hudson

Ruth Ann Hudson of Dade City died Saturday at her home after a long illness. She was 59.

Mrs. Hudson was born in Gainesville.

She was a longtime local resident before moving several years ago.

For many years, she had held administrative positions at the University of Florida before transferring to the University of South Florida, where she retired a few years ago. Her mother, Caris Cauthen, was the long-time owner and operator of Jay's Dress Shop in Gaines- ville.

Survivors include her husband, Randall Hudson of Dade City; a son, Tod Hudson of St. Petersburg; a daughter, Cindy Boardman of Tampa; three brothers, James Cauthen and Leon Cauthen, both of Gainesville, and Charles Cauthen of Orange Park; a sister, Yvonne Davis of Gainesville; and a granddaughter.
