Wilmer Paul Renfroe

BRANFORD - Wilmer Paul Renfroe of Branford died Wednesday at Shands at the University of Florida. He was 85.

Mr. Renfroe was an automobile salesman.

Born in Providence, he moved from Jacksonville to Branford 12 years ago.

Mr. Renfroe was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Edna O. Renfroe of Branford; a son, Buddy Renfroe of Gainesville; a daughter, Mona Lee Grinstead of Branford; a brother, James Renfroe of Callahan; four sisters, Eletha Malphurs of Alachua, Ella Mae Willis of Jacksonville, Dorothy Faye Clyatt of Providence and Loca McDavid of Gainesville; six grandchildren; and 13 great- grandchildren.

Lucille Dykes Rucker

HIGH SPRINGS - Lucille Dykes Rucker of High Springs died Wednesday at North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville. She was 79.

Mrs. Rucker was a cosmetologist. Born in Ellenton, she moved from Bradenton to High Springs 20 years ago.

Survivors include a son, Spencer K. Young of Homosassa; a daughter, Jodi McManamy of High Springs; a brother, Joe Dykes of DeLand; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Ruth May Martin Greeson

KEYSTONE HEIGHTS -- Ruth May Martin Greeson of Keystone Heights died Sunday. She was 90.

She was born in Bainbridge, Ga., and lived most of her life in Jacksonville before moving to Keystone Heights in 1962.

She was a past recorder, senior regent and junior graduate regent of the Women of the Moose, Chapter 305. She was also an experienced accountant and was a skilled seamstress.

She enjoyed gardening.

Survivors include two daughters, Dawn Greeson Smith Gordon of Charlotte, N.C., and Wanda Greeson Phillips of Jacksonville; a sister, Cornelia Harrell of Moorhead City, N.C.; a brother, Paul Martin of Ocala; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and many nieces and nephews.

Mary Della Griffis Brown Kosut

STARKE -- Mary Della Griffis Brown Kosut of Starke died Sunday after an automobile accident. She was 65.

She was a homemaker and a member of the New River Baptist Church at Brooker.

Survivors include her parents, Hubert and Ruby Griffis, both of Raiford; two brothers, Carl Griffis of Raiford and Ellis Griffis of Starke; and three sisters, Nella Durham, Doris Godwin and Betty Proveaux, all of Lake City.

Viola B. Shepherd

BELL -- Viola B. Shepherd, a lifelong resident of Bell, died at her home Sunday. She was 98.

Mrs. Shepherd was a homemaker and a farmer.

She was a member of Mount Nebo Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Shepherd; and a son, Billy Shepherd.

Survivors include four daughters, Leara Townsend and Shirley Stavley, both of Trenton, Clyda Andrews of Clearwater and Penny Odom of Branford; seven sons, Jimmie Shepherd, Carl Shepherd, J.C. Shepherd and Nathan Shepherd, all of Bell, George W. Shepherd Jr. of Eustis, Glen Shepherd of Ocala and Eugene Shepherd of Watkinsville, Ga.; 37 grandchildren; 62 great-grandchil- dren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Lillie Elizabeth White Barnett

O'BRIEN -- Lillie Elizabeth White Barnett of O'Brien died Sunday in Gainesville in an automobile accident. She was 80.

Mrs. Barnett was born in O'Brien and was a lifelong resident.

She graduated from Branford High School and was a member of the WMU at Union Baptist Church. She worked as a cottage parent at the former Sunland Training Center in Gainesville.

Survivors are three daughters, Emily Mathis and Elsie Rizer, both of Bell, and Brenda Wendell Lemnah of O'Brien; a son, John Barnett of O'Brien; a sister, Alma White Dufrane of Jacksonville; a brother, John White of Springfield, Ohio; 18 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Hugh H. Deatrick

MORRISTON -- Hugh H. Deatrick of Morriston died Saturday at Shands at the University of Florida following an extended illness. He was 78.

Mr. Deatrick was born in Dayton, Ohio, and moved to Morriston from Miami in 1978. He was an electrician and attended Fellowship Baptist Church.

Survivors included his wife, Mary E. Deatrick of Morriston; three sons, Arthur Deatrick of Miami, John Deatrick of Melbourne and Kevin Roberts of Morriston; two daughters, Zana Gray of Cocoa and Susan Deatrick of Citrus; a sister Jane Rasor of Margate; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Betty Jo Kowalchuk

KEYSTONE HEIGHTS -- Betty Jo Kowalchuk of Keystone Heights died Sunday at her home. She was 74.

Mrs. Kowalchuk was a teacher and administrator, working 20 years in the Palm Beach County school system.

Born in Atlanta, she moved to Keystone Heights two years ago from West Palm Beach.

Mrs. Kowalchuk was a Methodist.

Survivors include a daughter, Elizabeth Kowalchuk of Lawrence, Kan.; a son, Joe Kowalchuk of Keystone Heights; and one grandchild.

Memorials may be made in the form of donations to Hospice of North Central Florida.

Malissa Pelham

STARKE -- Malissa Pelham of Starke died Thursday at Shands at AGH. She was 83.

Mrs. Pelham was a retired domestic worker.

Born in Earleton, she has lived in Starke for more than 60 years. She was educated in the Alachua and Bradford county school systems.

She belonged to Mount Moriah United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a son, Jerome Pelham of Starke; two sisters, Netter Pelham of Pierson and Daisy Bell Pelham of Earleton; four brothers, Johnny Pelham and Ellis Pelham, both of Waldo, Lawrence Pelham of Hopewell, Va., and Charlie Pelham of Fernandina Beach; a granddaughter; and a great-granddaughter of Gainesville.

Walter Earl Wadsworth

Walter Earl Wadsworth died at his Gainesville residence Wednesday after an extended illness. He was 89.

He was a native Floridian and a long-time resident of Gainesville.

Mr. Wadsworth was a mechanical engineer.

Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Fern S. Wadsworth of Gainesville; a daughter, Gwendolyn W. Pruitt of Gainesville; four grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of donations to the Hospice of North Central Florida.

Pauline C. Allen

JACKSONVILLE - Pauline C. "Polly" Allen of Jacksonville died Wednesday at her home. She was 77.

Mrs. Allen was a homemaker and a Baptist.

Born in Thomas County, Ga., she moved from Gainesville to Jacksonville last year.

Mrs. Allen was preceded in death by her husband, Buford Allen.

Survivors include a daughter, Martha Fay Allen of Gainesville; two brothers, Clinton Crowley Jr. of Black Canyon City, Ariz., and Jack Crowley of Hanover, Mass.; three sisters, Mariene Sprague of St. Augustine Shores, Ruth Courson of Gainesville and Marcel Corvin of Mississippi; three grandchildren; and numerous great- grandchildren.

Expressions of sympathy may be made as donations to Veterans of Foreign Wars in St. Augustine.

Allie L. Brown

OLD TOWN - Allie L. Brown of Old Town died Thursday at Hospice House of Gainesville. She was 75.

Mrs. Brown was a physical therapist and a member of Full Gospel Church of Chiefland.

Born in La Belle, she moved from Fort Pierce to Old Town four years ago.

Survivors include two sons, Raymond Taylor of Okeechobee and Ray Taylor of Fort Pierce; a daughter, Dee Hodges of Cross City; two brothers, Harvey McDaniel of Fort McCoy and Tifton McDaniel of La Belle; two sisters, Madaline Day of Daytona Beach and Avie McDaniel of Pine Island; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Olive V. Cooke

HAWTHORNE - Olive V. Cooke of Hawthorne died Tuesday at Putnam Community Medical Center in Palatka after a long illness. She was 89.

Mrs. Cooke was born in Birmingham, England, and moved from Silver Springs to Hawthorne 14 years ago.

She was a member of the Orange Springs Homemakers Club and the Friendship Bible Church in Keystone Heights.

Mrs. Cooke was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Ernest G. Cooke.

Survivors include a son, Alan V. Cooke of Cornwall, England; three daughters, Valerie J. Army of Grafton, Mass., Joyce Baker of Hawthorne and Lauren L. Benoit of Melrose; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Ruth Moore England

LIVE OAK - Ruth Moore England of Live Oak died Thursday in Live Oak after a brief illness. She was 98.

Mrs. England was a retired teacher and member of the First Baptist Church of Live Oak.

Born in Lake City, she moved from Jacksonville to Live Oak five years ago.

Survivors include two sons, Julian "Carl" Moore of Live Oak and Robert Lee Moore of Gainesville; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
