Cheryl D. Lake, 46, Office Manager

Cheryl D. Lake, 46, of Bushnell, died Thursday, July 31, 2003, in Sanford. A native to Leesburg, she was a lifelong resident of Central Florida. Mrs. Lake was an office manager in the medical industry. She was Baptist. Survivors include her husband, Harry; five sons, Derek Lake, Phillip Jessmer, Jeremy Lake, Bradley Lake and Michael Eastburn, all of Bushnell; mother and father, Olive and Wilbur Tripp of Okahumpka; brother, Jeffrey A. Tripp of Leesburg and nine grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Aug. 4 at the Purcell Funeral Home Chapel, Bushnell with Rev. Hoss Moore officiating. Interment at Evergreen Cemetery, Bushnell. Purcell Funeral Home, Bushnell, handled the arrangements.

Giulio W. Lusto, 39

Giulio William Lusto, 39, of Webster, died Saturday, Aug. 2, 2003, in Webster. A native of Sacramento, Calif., he moved to Central Florida 17 years ago, formerly of Tucson, Ariz. Survivors include three brothers, Ray Lusto of Webster, David Burns of Vancouver, Wash, Tony Lusto of Tampa; sister, Angela Baum of Tampa; and mother, Mary Lusto of Tucson, Ariz. Purcell Funeral Home, Bushnell, handled the arrangements.

William H. Oxenford, 76, Truck driver

William Huber Oxenford, 76, of Bushnell, died Saturday, Aug. 2, 2003, in Bushnell. A native of Allentown, Pa., he was a resident of Bushnell since 1989, formerly of Allentown, Pa. Mr. Oxenford was a tractor-trailer driver. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a recipient of the Purple Heart. He was Protestant. Survivors include his wife, Gloria; two sons, Jerry Oxenford of Daytona Beach and Robert Oxenford of Allentown, Pa.; one daughter, Linda Swanson of Clermont and four grandchildren. A Memorial service will be held Monday, Aug. 11, 2003, at 11 a.m. at the Florida National cemetery in Bushnell with Military Honors rendered by the Marine Corps League #708. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the E.L. Bennett Veteran's Nursing Home, 1920 Mason Avenue, Daytona Beach, Fla. 32117. Purcell Funeral Home, Bushnell, handled the arrangements.

Dean Manny, 84, of OTOW

Dean Manny, of OTOW, died Thursday, Aug. 7, 2003. A native of Elkhart, Ill., she came here in 1989 from Cape Coral. She was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church. She loved to cook, entertain and was an avid dancer.

Survivors include her husband of 39 years, Frederick R. "Bob" Manny of Ocala; daughter, Kay Steed of Ocala; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Edward W. Wilbert, 86, of Ocala

Edward W. Wilbert, of Ocala, died Monday, Aug. 4, 2003. A native of Kingston, Pa., he came here in 1984 from Sterling Heights, Mich. He was 86.

Mr. Wilbert was a retired owner of a bakery equipment company. He served in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II. He was an avid golfer and was Episcopal.

Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Dorothy J.; daughters, Susan Pelto of Walled Lake, Mich., and Nancy Podschwit of Chicago; son, Edward "Butch" Wilbert of Empire, Mich.; stepdaughter, Sherry Sterns of Orange, Texas; stepson, Gary Lingle of Gibbon, Neb.; and eight grandchildren.

James Power Jr., 94, of Dunnellon

James "Frank" Power Jr., of Dunnellon, died Saturday, Aug. 9, 2003, under the care of loving family and Marion County Hospice. A native of Boston, Mass., he came here four years ago from Holiday. He was 94.

Mr. Power was a foreman employed by Proctor and Gamble Corporation. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Dunnellon, former member of the Knights of Columbus and the Society of Saint Vincent DePaul, both of Quincy, Mass.

Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Gertrude; two daughters, Marguerite (William) MacLeod and Helene (Roland) Williams, both of Dunnellon; eight grandchildren, Patricia Williams, Theresa Owler, Daniel MacLeod, James MacLeod, Deborah Farmer, Loretta Brandon, Michael MacLeod and Kenneth MacLeod; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Fero Funeral Home, Dunnellon Chapel, handled the arrangements.

Robert B. Williams, 76, of Dunnellon

Robert B. Williams, of Dunnellon, died Thursday, Aug. 7, 2003, in Ocala. A native of Jonesville, Va., he came here in 1969 from DeLand. He was 76.

Mr. Williams was a supervisor employed by Deltona Corporation. He was Protestant and a member of the United Methodist Church of Dunnellon. He was a former member of the Dunnellon Quarterback Club supporting local football teams, also an active Gator fan. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Joanne; four sons, Eddie Williams, Terry Williams, both of Dunnellon, Danny Williams of Ocala and Michael Williams of Fort Myers; daughter, Claudia Williams of Asheville, N.C.; brother, Dwight Williams of Fredericksburg, Va.; sister, Jean Newman of Harrisonburg, Va.; numerous grandchildren and great- grandchildren.

Roberts Funeral Home of Dunnellon handled the arrangements.

Mona Bailey, 69 Lake Panasoffkee

Mona Jean Bailey, 69, Lake Panasoffkee, formerly of Citrus County, died Sunday, Aug. 17, 2003.

She was a native of Columbus, Ohio, and Florida resident since 1958.

Survivors include husband, James E. Bailey; son, Greg C. Bailey; two daughters, Paula Sanagustin and Mary Beth Hirsch; brother, Paul Michael Solt; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Selma 'Sally' Fornero, 87

Homosassa - Selma "Sally" Fornero, 87, Homosassa, died Thursday Aug. 14, 2003, at her home under the care of family and Hospice of Citrus County.

Mrs. Fornero was born Dec. 20, 1915, in Collinsville, Ill., to Walter and Lillian Golightly. She came here six years ago.

She was a homemaker.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Collinsville, Ill., for 50 years, and more recently a member of the First United Methodist Church of Homosassa.

She was preceded in death by her husband John M. Fornero.

Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn Crawley (Joe) of Homosassa, and Judith (Ed) Covey of Camp Point, Ill.; son Roger (Joyce) Fornero of Plant City; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren with one due in November.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to the First United Methodist Church of Homosassa or Hospice of Citrus County.

Johnny Horton, 48 Inverness

Johnny H. Horton, 48, Inverness, died Sunday, Aug. 17, 2003, at his home.

Born May 26, 1955, in Clearwater, to James and Oveta Horton, he came to Citrus County in 1989 from Cocoa Beach.

He was a finish carpenter. He was Protestant.

Survivors include two sons, Richard and Gary, both of Cocoa; daughter, Tiffany Horton of Cocoa; three brothers, Larry of McDonough, Ga., Robert of Cocoa Beach, and Joey of Floral City; three sisters, Nora James of Charlotte, N.C., Judy VanGorp of Cocoa, and Barbara Sikish of Orlando; companion, Dina Mac Quarrie of Inverness; and nieces and nephews.

Clotilde Lizardi, 84 Beverly Hills

Clotilde S. Lizardi, 84, Beverly Hills, died Sunday, Aug. 17, 2003, in Crystal River.

Born June 3, 1919, in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico, to Jacinto and Maria Seijo, she came here 17 years ago from Brooklyn, N.Y.

She was a seamstress and plant manager of a children's clothing factory. She was a past grand matron of the Order of Easter Star; honorary life member of OES 319, Homosassa Springs, and Toastmasters. She attended Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Beverly Hills.

Survivors include husband, Luis R. Lizardi of Beverly Hills; stepson, Luis (Carmen) Lizardi of Pennsylvania; daughter, Nancy Nieves of Beverly Hills; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Owen McPartlin Jr., 77 Beverly Hills

Owen Peter McPartlin Jr., 77, Beverly Hills, died Monday, Aug. 18, 2003, in Lecanto.

Born May 9, 1926, in Scotland, he came to the United States as a child and lived in New York before moving to Beverly Hills in 1984.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

He had many jobs, the last one being a mail clerk for a title company. He was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Beverly Hills.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Adelaide McPartlin on May 8, 2001.

Survivors include a brother and uncle.

Terry "Bubba" Oliver Jr., 22 Homosassa

Terry Wayne "Bubba" Oliver Jr., 22, Homosassa, died Saturday, Aug. 16, 2003, in Homosassa.

Born Aug. 16, 1981, in Columbus, Ohio, to Terry Wayne Oliver and Barbara New, he came here four years ago from Columbus, Ohio.

He was a commercial fisherman.

Survivors include father, Terry Oliver Sr. of Homosassa; mother, Barbara Oliver of Dayton, Ohio; son, Terry Oliver III of Dayton, Ohio; two brothers, Justus Patrick of Dayton, Ohio, and Jimmy Burke III of Crystal River; three sisters, Loney Patrick of Dayton, Ohio, and Bunny Marie Oliver and Kayla Lewis, both of Homosassa; paternal grandmother, Sadie Oliver of Homosassa; and maternal grandmother, Loney New of Crystal River.

David Wayne Richey, 37, Homosassa, died Monday, Aug. 18, 2003, in Homosassa.

Born Sept. 17, 1965 in Inverness, he was a lifelong resident of Homosassa.

He was a salesman for Richey Auto Parts in Homosassa and a member of First Baptist Church of Homosassa.

Survivors include two sons, David Spencer Richey and Carl Richey Wayne, both of Homosassa; daughter, Christan Lynn Richey of Homosassa; mother, Rosemary Branham of Lecanto; stepfather, James Branham of Lecanto; father, Paul Richey of Inverness; brothers, Mike and Bryan Richey of Homosassa; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
