George J. Morgan Sr., 84, of OTOW

George J. Morgan Sr., of OTOW, died Friday, Aug. 15, 2003. A native of Somerville, Mass., he moved here 31 years ago from Revere, Mass. He was 84.

Mr. Morgan was a retired supervisor for the city of Ocala Public Works. He was a Carnegie Award recipient for his bravery.

Survivors include his son, George J. Morgan Jr. of Delray Beach; daughter, Patricia Kuech of Ocala; sister, Virginia Mahoney of Somerville; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary B. Morgan.

Memorial contributions may be made to Arnette House.

Alf J. Nilsen, 77, of Oak Run

Alf J. Nilsen, of Oak Run, died Sunday, Aug. 17, 2003, at Ocala Regional Medical Center, Ocala. A native of Norway, he resided in the Ocala area since June 2003, formerly of East Brunswick, N.J. He was 77.

Mr. Nilsen was a retired captain of an oil barge with Hess Oil Company (33 years). He was a member of Christ Memorial Lutheran Church, East Brunswick, N.J.; and Sons of Norway.

Survivors include his wife, Asta; two sons, Larry Nilsen of Norwood, N.J., and Kevin Nilsen of Okemos, Mich.; sister, Anny Fredriksen of Norway; brother, Willy Nilsen of Norway; five grandchildren and two great -grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Armando "T" Testa, 72, of Spruce Creek North<./b>

Armando "T" Testa, of Spruce Creek North, died Friday, Aug. 15, 2003, at his residence. A native of Williamsport, Pa., he has resided in the Ocala area since 1990, formerly of Williamsport, Pa. He was 72.

Mr. Testa was a retired teacher in the South Williamsport School District. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church; NEA, PSEA and Burtonwood Association.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Elizabeth; son, Enrico J. Testa of New Orleans, La.; two daughters, Maria T. Wallach of Coopersburg, Pa., and Susan T. Richard of Goldsboro, N.C.; four sisters, Pauline T. Gerardi, Libby Girio, Maria Missigman, all of Williamsport, Pa., and Anne Marie Pinto of Poughkeepsie, N.Y.; and three grandchildren.

Elizabeth Chaney, 79, Homemaker

Elizabeth Chaney, 79, of Center Hill, died Saturday, Aug. 23, 2003, at Center Hill. A native of Concord, N.C., she was a resident of Center Hill since 1996, formerly of Orlando. Ms. Chaney was a homemaker and of the Protestant faith. Survivors include three sisters, Evelyn B. Tucker of Norfolk, Va., Margret B. Fenters of Asheboro, N.C., Frances B. Lindall of Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by a sister, Maryellen B. Harvel. No local services were held. Interment was at Carolina Memorial Park Cemetery, Concord, N.C. Purcell Funeral Home, Bushnell, handled the arrangements.

Bob Costanza, 50, Pastor

Bob Costanza, 50, of Bushnell, died Monday, Aug. 25, 2003, in Bushnell. A native of Ozone Park, N.Y., he moved to Sumter County seven years ago, formerly of Pinellas Park. Pastor Costanza was founder and director of Eternal Life Concepts, Inc. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Vietnam Era. He was pastor of Wells of Salvation Church. Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Brenda L.; three sons, Christopher Costanza of Lake Panasoffkee, Daniel Costanza and C.J. Costanza, both of Bushnell; brother, Rick Costanza of Bushnell; and two grandchildren. Services were held Aug. 27 at Purcell Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Obie Jones officiating. Interment was at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell. Purcell Funeral Home, Bushnell, handled the arrangements.

Frances A. Hart, 91, Orthodontal Tech

Frances A. "Pat" Hart, 91, of Silver Spring, Md., died Monday, Aug. 18, 2003, in Bushnell. A native of Washington, D.C., she was visiting here from Silver Spring, Md. Mrs. Hart was an orthodontal Tech. She was Protestant. Survivors include a son, Raymond S. Hart of Wildwood; two brothers, E. William Avery of Punta Gorda and John L. Avery of Apopka; one sister, Margaret A. Klug of Edgewater, Md.; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and two great, great-grandchildren. Purcell Funeral Home, Bushnell, handled the arrangements.

Loyd W. Lee, 74, Railroad employee

Loyd W. Lee "Cat, " 74, of Oxford, died Saturday, Aug. 23, 2003, in Ocala. He was born in Oxford. Mr. Lee retired from Seaboard Airline Railroad. He was a member of the United Transportation Union and the Oxford United Methodist Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. Survivors include his wife, Zita; son, David Lee of Wildwood; daughters, Susan Fausett of Dana Point, Calif. and Tracy Cassady of Woodlands, Texas; brother, Richard Lee of Wildwood; sister, Ophelia Lee of Oxford; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 28, at the United Methodist Church of Oxford with Rev. James Gayler officiating. Burial will be at Pine Level cemetery in Oxford. Banks/Page-Theus Funeral Home, Wildwood, handled the arrangements.

Fay E. Petrie, 91, Homemaker

Fay Evelyn Petrie, 91, of LaBelle, died Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2003, in LaBelle. A native of Sumterville, she was a lifetime resident of Florida. Mrs. Petrie was a homemaker and of the Methodist faith. Survivors include a daughter, Velma L. Boyer of LaBelle; seven grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Services were held Aug. 23 at Purcell Funeral Home Chapel, Bushnell, with Rev. Larry Armbrust officiating. Interment at Sumterville Cemetery, Sumterville. Purcell Funeral Home, Bushnell, handled the arrangements.

Luis Velazquez, 59, Custodian

Luis "Angelo" Velazquez, 59, of Lake Panasoffkee, died Thursday, Aug. 21, 2003, in Lake Panasoffkee. He was born in Puerto Rico. Mr. Velazquez was a custodian with the school system. He was Catholic. Survivors include his wife, Kimberlyann; two sons, Ricky Velazquez of Lake Panasoffkee and Angel Velazquez of Fort Lauderdale; two daughters, Madison Velazquez of Lake Panasoffkee and Mayda Velazquez of Fort Lauderdale; several brothers and sisters. Purcell Funeral Home, Bushnell, handled the arrangements.

Royce Lee Woods, 64, General worker

Royce Lee Woods, 64, of Bushnell, died Saturday, Aug. 23, 2003, in Bushnell. He was born in Bradford County, Fla.; Mr. Woods was a general worker. Survivors include a son, Tim Woods of Newberry, Fla.; two daughters, Cecelia Woods of Broken Arrow, Okla. and Joyce Kennedy of Newberry, Fla.; brother, Thomas Woods Jr. of Perry, Fla.; and seven grandchildren. Services were Aug. 27 at Purcell Funeral Home Chapel, Bushnell, with the Reverend Ron Thomas officiating. Interment was at Hague Cemetery, Hague, Fla. Purcell Funeral Home, Bushnell, handled the arrangements.

Elin Buchanan, 89 Holder

Elin M. Buchanan, 89, Holder, died Monday, Aug. 25, 2003, in Lecanto.

Born Sept. 26, 1913, in Bronx, N.Y., to John and Maria Carlson, she came here in 1978 from East Hampton, N.Y.

Mrs. Buchanan was a retired clerk for New York Telephone.

She was Protestant.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Buchanan, on Feb. 25, 1996.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews and a friend, Izella Parmer of Holder.

Hilda Gillette, 87 Inverness

Hilda L. Gillette, 87, Inverness, died Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2003, at her home under the care of her family.

Born July 4, 1916, in St. Johns, Mich., to Clyde and Nellie (Bradley) Fairchild, she came here 40 years ago from Lansing, Mich.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willis M. Gillette, on Feb. 18, 1983, and son, Willis E. Gillette, on Oct. 1, 1991.

Survivors include one son, Richard Gillette of Sanford, Mich.; four daughters, Lillian Eno and Joyce Titone both of Inverness, Karen Rossilli of Johnston, R.I., and Hilda K. Gillette of Inverness; two sisters, Lillian LaRue of Maple Rapids, Mich., and Gertrude Caloma of California; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Frank Heenan, 87 Beverly Hills

Frank J. Heenan, 87, Beverly Hills, died Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2003, in Largo.

Born in Chicago, Ill., to John and Mary (Touhey) Hee-

nan, he came here in 1990 from River-dale, Ill.

Mr. Heenan retired from Brunswick Building Co. as a chief engineer in Chicago, Ill.

He was a World War II veteran serving in the U.S. Navy from 1943 to 1945.

He was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Beverly Hills and a former member of the Knights of Columbus in Illinois.

Mr. Heenan was former mayor of Riverdale, Ill., for four terms; former president of Ivanhoe Park District; and a former baseball coach of Babe Ruth Little League.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Heenan, on Jan. 5, 1998.

Survivors include three sons, Gerald F. Heenan of Seattle, Wash., James E. Heenan of Tierra Verde, and Terry P. Heenan of New Lenox, Ill.; two daughters, Peggy Hampton of Manteno, Ill., and Barbara Jarr of Indian Head Park, Ill.; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
