Sheryll Ann Lotta, 51, Hernando, died Thursday, Sept. 18, 2003, at Ocala Regional Medical Center.

Born May 23, 1952, in Rochester, N.Y., to Amerigo and Gloria Lotta, she moved here in 2000 from Plymouth, Mass.

Mrs. Lotta was a tax accountant for the IRS.

Survivors include her husband, Walter Galica of Hernando; brother, Stephen Lotta and wife, Robin, of Charlotte, N.C.; aunt, Lee Kaufman of Rochester, N.Y.; and grandchildren, Peter Galica and Nolan Galica, both of Saratoga, N.Y.

Clarence Mattoon Sr., 65 Dunnellon

Clarence E. Mattoon Sr., 65, Dunnellon, died Thursday, Sept. 18, 2003, in Gainesville.

Born in Ransomville, N.Y., he came here in 1962 from Buffalo, N.Y.

Mr. Mattoon was a retired truck driver employed by Damar Manufacturing and served in the U.S. Navy.

He was a member of the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.

He was predeceased by a son, Clarence E. Mattoon Jr., and two brothers, Delbert Mattoon and George Mattoon.

Survivors include his wife, Delores E. Mattoon of Dunnellon; one son, Daniel W. Mattoon of Dunnellon; two daughters, Donna M. Johnson of Ocala and Pamela A. LaLonde of Dunnellon; two sisters, Betty Daniels and Hazel Lederhouse both of Ransomville, N.Y.; and six grandchildren.

Thomas 'Tom' McGinty, 68 Hernando

Thomas E. "Tom" McGinty, 68, Arbor Lakes, Hernando, died Thursday, Sept. 18, 2003, at Citrus Memorial Hospital in Inverness.

Born Dec. 19, 1934, in Sesser, Ill., to Thomas and Marie (Hinnen) McGinty, he came here five years ago from Brandon, where he lived for 25 years.

Mr. McGinty was a U.S. Army veteran and a retired power transmission sales engineer with the Cameron & Barkley Company of Tampa, with 25 years of service.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Inverness and the Arbor Lakes Grounds Committee. He was an Eagle Scout and an avid fisherman.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Judy N. (Yates) McGinty; two sons, Jeff McGinty of Atlanta, Ga., and Jason McGinty of Indialantic; one daughter, Janet Smith of LaBelle; one sister, Mary Kay Owsley of San Diego, Calif.; and six grandchildren.

David Monroe, 63 Beverly Hills

David Roy Monroe, 63, Beverly Hills, died unexpectedly Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2003, at Malcolm Randall VA Medical Center in Gainesville.

He was born July 17, 1940, in Burlington, Vt., the son of Leonard and Cecile (LaRiviere) Monroe.

After retirement from General Electric/Lockheed Martin he moved to Beverly Hills to enjoy the outdoors, which included frequent golf. David always celebrated life, and his family and friends enjoyed being with him because of this quality.

He is survived by his wife, Marie (Jordan) Monroe; children, Melanie Chandler and husband, Mark, of Cherry Field, Maine, Thomas Monroe of Niantic, Conn., Steven Monroe and wife, Terri, of Lyndonville, Vt., and Jennifer (Higley) Lorenz and husband, Gregory, of Hollywood, Md.; brothers, James Monroe and wife, Judith, of Essex Jct., Vt., Albert Monroe and wife, Judith, of Williston, Vt., Lawrence Monroe and wife, Delores, of Burlington, Vt.; sister, Joyce (Monroe) Silveira and husband, David, of Shelburne, Vt.; and seven grandchildren.

To celebrate his life, the family will gather together at a future date in Vermont.

Donations can be made to the American Heart Association in his memory.

Robert Parker, 64 Bradenton

Robert V. Parker, 64, Bradenton, died Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2003.

Born July 9, 1939, in Kokomo, Ind., he moved to Dunnellon in 1995 and to Bradenton four months ago.

Mr. Parker was a retired tool and die maker and worked at Chrysler in Kokomo, Ind., for more than 30 years.

He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and Sons of American Legion.

Survivors include his companion, Cynthia Alonge of Bradenton; three daughters, Mary F. Pearson of Topeka, Kan., Carol Parker and Sandra Oldfield both of Kokomo, Ind.; two sons, Richard Parker and Robert Parker both of Anderson, Ind.; half sister, Anne Parker Vargas of Florida; half brother, Frederick Parker of Florida; and six grandchildren.

Memorial donations may be given to the American Cancer Society, 600 U.S. 301 Blvd. W., Suite 136, Bradenton, FL 34205.

Michael Vinnola, 50 Homosassa

Michael Patrick Vinnola, 50, Homosassa, died Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2003, at his home.

He was born Nov. 29, 1952, in Denver, Colo., to Richard and Eva (Canzona) Vinnola and came here one year ago.

Mr. Vinnola owned and operated Vinnola Italian Deli. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran.

He was Catholic.

Mr. Vinnola was preceded in death by his wife, Lorene, on Jan. 9, 2003.

Survivors include one son, Matthew P. Vinnola of Denver, Colo.; two daughters, Milan Vinnola of Bethesda, Md., and Andrea Vinnola of Denver, Colo.; his mother, Eva Vinnola of Denver, Colo.; brother, Richard Vinnola of Denver, Colo.; and one grandchild.

Thomas Britton, 64 Inverness

Thomas J. Britton, 64, Inverness, died Saturday, Sept. 20, 2003, in Inverness.

Born March 3, 1939, in Detroit, Mich., to Robert and Rita Britton, he came here in 1988 from Lake Orion, Mich.

He served in the U.S. Army. He was a restaurant owner. He was Catholic.

He was preceded in death by wife, Danette Britton in 1996.

Survivors include son, Corey J. Britton of Ocala; brother, Robert Britton of Michigan; two granddaughters, Abbey and Hannah Britton, both of Ocala.

Harold Cichowski, 74 Beverly Hills

Harold S. Cichowski, 74, Beverly Hills, died Sunday, Sept. 21, 2003, in Beverly Hills.

Born Aug. 22, 1929, in Chicago, Ill., to Steve and Helen Cichowski, he came here 12 years ago from Elkhart, Ind.

He was a sales manager in the mobile home and recreational vehicle industry. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Survivors include wife of 54 years, Marilyn Cichowski of Beverly Hills; son, Curtis (Katherine) Cichowski of Valpariso, Ind.; two daughters, Cheryl (Michael) Miller of Palm Harbor and Christine (Robert) Jernigan of Elkhart, Ind.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Virgil Correll, 92 Crystal River

Virgil Lee Correll, 92, Crystal River, died Sunday, Sept. 21, 2003, at his home under the care of family and Hospice of Citrus County.

Born July 5, 1911, in Carroll County, Mo., to James Augustus and Josephine (Cheesman) Correll, he came to this area three years ago from Rogers, Ark.

He was a 1931 graduate of Tina (Mo.) High School. He retired after 35 years as an engineer with the Santa Fe, Indiana Harbor Belt and New York Central railroads from 1939 to 1974. He was a member of Crystal River Methodist Church. He enjoyed gardening, especially his roses.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Emma Lee (Reeves) Correll in 1998.

Survivors include two sons, David Correll of Crystal River and Phillip Correll of Chicago, Ill.; daughter, Mary Lee Narang of Spring Valley, Calif.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
