Cheryl Hamilton, 59 Beverly Hills

Cheryl Sue Hamilton, 59, Beverly Hills, died at home Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2003, under the care of her family and Hospice.

A native of Lansing, Mich., she was born Oct. 9, 1943, to Harold and Shirley Oliver. She came to Florida in 1987 from Verona, Wis.

As a teenager, Cheryl was a pastor's secretary and was also a secretary at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, Ill. She loved children and was active in leadership in the AWANA youth ministry and teaching Sunday School in the churches that her husband pastored. Her love of music brought her to sing in the choir and share in a passion for southern gospel music. She also taught a young ladies' Bible study and was president of the Ladies Fellowship of Heritage Baptist Church.

She loved animals and had a Tennessee Walker horse with which she won several awards. Cheryl worked for more than a decade at Midway Animal Hospital of Crystal River.

Survivors include her husband of 39 years, the Rev. David Hamilton of Beverly Hills; two sons, Robert Forrest (Cheryl) Hamilton of Tampa and Christopher Scott (Lisa) Hamilton of Ocala; her mother, Shirley Oliver of Eaton Rapids, Mich.; three brothers, Tim (Patti) Oliver and Brad (Connie) Oliver of Eaton Rapids, Mich., and Scott (Peggy) Oliver of Cortland, Ohio; and one granddaughter.

Helene McBrayer, 94 Oviedo

Helene Leutenegger McBrayer, 94, Oviedo, died Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2003, in Oviedo.

She was born in Denver, Colo., and came to Florida in 1968 from Silver Springs, Md. She was a former resident of Rainbow Springs for 35 years.

She was a retired registered nurse.

Mrs. McBrayer was Methodist and was a member of Rainbow Lakes United Methodist Church, Rainbow Lakes Hospital Association, Rainbow Lakes Civic Club and Rainbow Lakes Garden Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Benjamin E. McBrayer.

Survivors include two sons, Robert Lewis McBrayer of Lincoln Park, Mich., and James Donald McBrayer of Oviedo; one daughter, Sandra Ann Wetmore of Bradenton; a sister, Ruth Mitchel of Denver, Colo.; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Beatrice Schell, 78 Homosassa Springs

Beatrice I. Strout Schell, 78, Homosassa Springs, died Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2003, in Ocala.

She was born May 10, 1925, in Westbrook, Maine, to Willis and Mildred Strout. She came here from Plymouth, Mass., in 1991.

Mrs. Schell was a housewife, a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Plymouth, Mass., and Citrus County Seabees Island X-18.

She was Catholic.

Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Joseph F. Schell Sr. of Homosassa Springs; four sons, Joseph Schell Jr. of Assonet, Mass., Edward Schell of St. Petersburg, Richard Schell of Plymouth, Mass., and David Schell of Homosassa Springs; four daughters, Theresa Maxim of Naples, Maine, Dorothy Burns of Homosassa, Donna Carver of Waycross, Ga., and Carol Mannai of Plymouth, Mass.; a sister, Sadie Lappin of Westbrook, Maine; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Frank Taylor, 74 South Beloit, Ill.

Frank E. Taylor, 74, South Beloit, Ill., died Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2003, in Beloit Memorial Hospital, Beloit, Wis.

He was born Jan. 14, 1929, in Beloit, Wis., the son of the late Frank E. and Lula Martha Plunkett Taylor.

He was a 1947 graduate of Beloit High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Korean War. Frank married Loretta C. Dotson on Aug. 12, 1960, in Dubuque, Iowa.

He was employed as a firefighter for the city of Beloit for 38 years, retiring at the rank of captain in 1984.

He was a member of the International Association of Fire Fighters, the Retired Professional Fire Fighters of Wisconsin, VFW Post 4252 in Hernando and the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 2112 in Inverness.

He was predeceased by his parents, one brother and three sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Loretta, of South Beloit, Ill.; two sons, Charles (Barbara) of Boise, Idaho, and Donald (Betty) of Santa Maria, Calif.; one daughter, Marie (Paul) of Henderson, Nev.; 11 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Albert DeLaisne, 83 Beverly Hills

Albert J. DeLaisne, 83, Beverly Hills, died Friday, Oct. 3, 2003, in Inverness.

Born in Lyndhurst, N.J., he came here from Saratoga Springs, N.Y., in 1989.

Mr. DeLaisne retired after 15 years as the supervisor of shipping at the Krackler & Campbell Co. in Port of Albany, N.Y.

He served in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II.

He was Catholic.

Survivors include a nephew, Robert Puglisi and wife, Karol, of Wainscott, N.Y.; niece, Carolyn Hoffman of Alva; and sister, Emma DeLaisne of Glencove, N.Y.

Phyllis Esposito, 69 Beverly Hills

Phyllis A. Esposito, 69, Beverly Hills, died Friday, Oct. 3, 2003, in Lecanto.

A native of Caribou, Maine, she was born Feb. 27, 1934, to Walter and Madeline (Storey) Durost. She came here from Stratford, Conn., in 1994.

Mrs. Esposito was a payroll/bookkeeper with Bryant Electric Company, Bridgeport, Conn.

She retired in 1994 with more than 20 years of service.

She was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Beverly Hills.

She loved cooking and caring for her family.

Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Vincent Esposito of Beverly Hills; son, John Esposito of Beverly Hills; daughters, Rose Burzynski and husband, Richard, of Titusville, and Debra Esposito of Bridgeport, Conn.; brother, Walter Durost of Maine; two sisters, Arlene Delbene of San Francisco, Calif., and Nancy Hersey of Davenport; and two grandsons.

Emily Marshall, 76 SUGARMILL WOODS

Emily Janet Marshall, 76, Sugarmill Woods, Homosassa, died Thursday, Oct. 2, 2003, at Cypress Cove Care Center in Crystal River.

Born April 28, 1927, in New York, N.Y., to Stephan and Regina (Kovacs) Gastich, she came to here 12 years ago from Mt. Upton, N.Y.

Mrs. Marshall was a homemaker.

She was a 1986 graduate of Hofstra University receiving her bachelor of arts degree in business administration.

She was a member of Beta Gamma Sigma Sorority.

She was Protestant.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Walter Marshall of Sugarmill Woods, Homosassa; two sons, Stephen Marshall of Mount Upton, N.Y., and Michael Marshall of Ocala; two daughters, Linda Marshall of Spring Branch, Texas, and Gina Gammino of Orlando; five grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

Pauline Zubrzycki, 71 Wakeman, Ohio

Pauline Zubrzycki, 71, Wakeman, Ohio, died Wednesday afternoon at Grace Hospital in Amherst, Ohio.

She was born Oct. 11, 1931, in Spencer, Ohio, and lived in the Wakeman area her whole life.

She was a graduate of Wakeman High School. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed fishing and traveling to Florida for the winter.

She was preceded in death by her husband Frank, and her parents, Cecil and Sarah (Ross) Ward.

Survivors include three sons, Richard of Lorain, Ohio, Steve of Springboro, Ohio, and James of Mansfield, Ohio; brother, Eugene Ward of Norwalk, Ohio; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
