She was a homemaker and member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband, Edward F.; five sons, Edward of Tampa, Michael T. of St. Cloud, Charles Thomas and Joseph William, both of Lakeland, and Frederick Ralph of Highland City; three daughters, Esther Mary Tillman, Margaret Ann Dye and Kathleen Marie Jones, all of Lakeland; two sisters, Mary Leary of North Carolina and Floss Fisher of New Jersey; a brother, Frederick Johnson of Pennsylvania ; and 16 grandchildren. Heath Funeral Chapel, Lakeland.

BARBARA F. SIMS, 57, of Palm Bay died Monday at Integrated Health Care Services. A native of Plant City, she was a homemaker and member of His Place Fellowship. She is survived by two daughters, Pam McMichael of Rockledge and Marie Cavender of Palm Bay; a brother, Jack Hallford of Plant City; two sisters, Lois Allen of Lithia and Inez Ryan of Denver; and five granddaughters. ELLA MAE STATEN, 96, of Tampa died Sept. 15. A native of Sumter, S.C., she moved to the area from Jacksonville in 1933. She was a seamstress for a clothing manufacturer and member of Beulah Baptist Church.
