Wendell Vincent Jr., 60 Inverness

Wendell Vincent Jr., 60, Inverness, died Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2003, at his home under the care of his family and Hospice of Citrus County.

He was born March 12, 1943, in Johnson City, N.Y., to Wendell and Ettamae Vincent Sr. and moved to Inverness in 1998 from Newark Valley, N.Y.

Mr. Vincent was a retired chief lineman for New York State Electric and Gas. He served in the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon Vincent of Inverness; one daughter, Kim Shults (Eric) of Homosassa; two sons, Eric P. Vincent (Billie-Jo) of Inverness and Christopher P. Vincent (Barbara Jo) of Hernando; a brother, Gary Vincent of Ocala; a sister, Carol Johnson of California; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Wendi Wagnon, 43 New Brockton, Ala.

Wendi Wagnon, 43, New Brockton, Ala., died Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2003, in Enterprise, Ala.

She was the daughter of Ronald and Edyth Wagnon. She was a former resident of Inverness and graduated from Citrus High School in 1978 and from the University of Florida in 1983.

Mrs. Wagnon owned and operated a Western store, Boots, Chaps, and Cowboy Hats in downtown Enterprise, Ala.

She was a member of First Baptist Church, Enterprise, Ala.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jeff Hammond, and her father, Ronald Wagnon.

Survivors include two sons, Ethan Wagnon and Garrett Wagnon both of New Brockton, Ala.; her mother, Edyth Wagnon of New Brockton, Ala.; sister, Rebecca Evans (Greg) of Inverness; two nephews, Mark and Eric Evans of Inverness; aunts, uncles and cousins.

Charles Brennan, 85 Sarasota

Charles F. Brennan, 85, Sarasota, died Sunday, Dec. 14, 2003.

Born July 25, 1918 in Medina, N.Y., he moved to the Sarasota area 26 years ago from Spencerport, N.Y.

Mr. Brennan was an architect and senior partner with Barrows, Parks, Morin, Hall and Brennan.

A graduate of the University of Michigan School of Architecture, he was an Army Air Corps veteran and an elder and member of Siesta Key Chapel and moderator of the White Church, Spencerport, N.Y.

He was a member of the Sarasota Board of Realtors, American Institute of Architects, the University of Michigan alumni club and the Lions Club.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Joan; two daughters, Barbara Brennan Johnson of Palo Alto, Calif., and Nancy S. Brennan of Lafayette, La.; son, Charles P.E. (Neale) Brennan of Hernando; sister, Catherine Schwyn of Naples; brother, Ansel J. Brennan of Fort Myers; stepbrother, Arthur B. (Susan) Eddy of Albion, N.Y.; and four grandchildren.

Services will be in Sarasota with burial in Albion, N.Y. Memorial donations may be made to Siesta Key Chapel, 4615 Gleason Ave., Sarasota, FL 34242 or to Planned Parenthood, 1958 Prospect St., Sarasota, FL 34239.

Christopher DePrima Jr., 75 Dunnellon

Christopher DePrima Jr., 75, Dunnellon, died Sunday, Dec. 14, 2003, at his home.

A native of Brooklyn, N.Y., he moved to Dunnellon nearly eight years ago from Seaford, N.Y., and was a retired self-employed securities consultant.

Mr. DePrima served in the U.S. Army during World War II from 1946 to 1947. He was Catholic.

Survivors include wife of 47 years, Anna DePrima of Dunnellon; two sons, Christopher DePrima III of Massapequa, N.Y., and Salvatore DePrima of Ocala; two daughters, Antoinette Riebling of Lindenhurst, N.Y., and Annamaria DePrima of Phoenix, Ariz.; and three grandchildren.

Emma Doell, 98 Inverness

Emma Helen Doell, 98, Inverness, died Sunday, Dec. 14, 2003, in Inverness.

Mrs. Doell was born Sept. 1, 1905 in Brooklyn, N.Y., to Victor and Hester Pauly. She moved here from Wantagh, N.Y.

She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star No. 65, Inverness; and the Woman's Club of Inverness.

She was Protestant.

She was preceded in death by husband, George E. Doell Sr., Feb. 23, 1992; four brothers, Charles, Everell, William and Victor Pauly; and three sisters, Alice Owerland, Evelyn Pearsall and Edith Fischer.

Survivors include son, George E. Doell Jr. of Inverness; sister, Grace Himes of Spring Hill; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Andrew 'Andy' Schlaudraff, 84 Inverness

Andrew "Andy" Milo Schlaudraff, 84, Inverness, died Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2003, in Michigan.

Born Aug. 7, 1919, in Fort Wayne, Ind., to Charlie and Beulah Schlaudraff, he moved to Inverness from Los Angeles, Calif., in 1985.

Mr. Schlaudraff was a member of First Lutheran Church of Inverness.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith Schlaudraff, Aug. 16, 1994; two sisters, Frances Swihart and Myrtle Wilson; and three brothers, Ed, Gus and Bill Schlaudraff.

Survivors include three sons, Mike Schlaudraff (Linda) of Inverness, Arthur Schlaudraff (Cindy) of Thonotosassa and James Schlaudraff (Mary) of Michigan; sister, Berniece Anderson of Fort Wayne, Ind.; and eight grandchildren.

Cleve Brown, 83 Floral City

Cleve Roy Brown, 83, Floral City, died Thursday, Nov. 27, 2003.

He was born Feb. 6, 1920, in Sutton, W.Va., to Charles and Gladys Brown. He came here from St. Petersburg in 1981.

He was a tree trimmer for the City of St. Petersburg.

He was Methodist.

He was a member of the Elmer O. Smith Masonic Lodge No. 307 F & AM, Pinellas Park; Tampa Consistory Scottish Rite; and Egypt Shrine Temple NO. 19993, Tampa.

Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Dorothy M. Black Brown of Floral City; and brother, Archie Brown of Riverview.

Eugene Cram, 72 Dunnellon

Eugene Charles Cram, 72, Dunnellon, died Friday, Nov. 28, 2003, in Ocala.

He was born in North Berwick, Maine, and came here from Draper, Va., in 1981.

He served 20 years in the U.S. Army. He worked in security. He was retired.

He was a member of the Timber Ridge Community Church. He was a Mason, Scottish Rite and Shriner.

Survivors include his wife, Phyllis A. Cram of Dunnellon; two sons, Eugene (Deborah) Douglas Cram of Dunnellon, and Marc Dexter Cram of Atlanta, Ga.; daughter, Lisa Cram (George) Lorenzo of Dunnellon; three sisters, Laura C. (Samuel) Giveen of Brunswick, Maine, Ruby C. Hawkins of Girard, Kan., and Joyce C. (Olwin) Fuller of Orient, Maine; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Dennis Harrell, 67 Lecanto

Dennis O. Harrell, 67, Lecanto, died Thursday, Nov. 27, 2003, in Inverness.

He was born June 16, 1936, in Akron, Ohio, to Fred and Ruth (Joyce) Harrell. He came here from Clear-water in 1970.

He worked as a construction superintendent for Flynn Development Corporation, Clearwater, until retiring in 2001. Before that, he was a superintendent with Rolling Oaks Corporation, Beverly Hills and worked under Same Kellner.

He was Christian.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He served in the Korean War.

Mr. Harrell was a member of the Christian Motorcycle Association of Citrus County and the International Practical Pistol Shooters of Crystal River.

Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Patricia Ann Harrell of Ocala; son, Douglas (Donnal) Harrell of Ocala; two stepsons, Jeffrey (Kathy) Hanes of Ocala, and Kevin (Kim) Hanes of Jacksonville; brother, Michael E. Harrell of Odessa; one niece; and six grandchildren.
