Art Smith, 53

Art Smith, 53, of Dunnellon, died Sunday, Nov. 23, 2003.

A native of Alamo, Ga., he was a longtime resident of Dunnellon.

Mr. Smith was a meat cutter.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening.

Survivors include his wife, Maudine Smith of Williston; son, Julian Smith of Ocala; daughter, Tracy Kirby of Williston; brother, William Smith of Dunnellon; two grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.

Knauff Funeral Home, Chiefland, provided the information.

Kermit C. Taylor, 93

Kermit C. Taylor, 93, of Ocala, died Monday, Dec. 1, 2003, in Ocala.

A native of Baxley, Ga., he came here in 1975 from Miami.

Mr. Taylor was a bus driver.

He was a member of the First Assembly of God.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II with the Combat Engineers.

He is survived by his wife, Mildred of Ocala.

Roberts Funeral Home, Dunnellon, handled the arrangements.

Bernice Tribble, 55

Bernice "Candy" Tribble, 55, of Dunnellon died Friday, Nov. 21, 2003, at Citrus Memorial Hospital in Inverness.

She was a native and lifelong resident of Dunnellon.

Mrs. Tribble was a retired public school custodian.

She was a member of Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Tracie Mosley of Hernando; son, Earl Mosley Jr. of Texas; brother, Cole Tribble Jr. of Silver Spring, Md.; and four grandchildren.

Ralph C. Walker, 53

Ralph Cecil Walker, 53, of Dunnellon, died Saturday, Nov. 29, 2003, in Floral City.

A native of Haines City, he moved to Citrus County in 1968.

Mr. Walker was a truck driver for DMB Enterprises, Holder.

He was a 1969 graduate of Citrus High School.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in the Vietnam era.

Mr. Walker was a member of Missions Possible Ministries Church of Citrus Springs and was a Christian and family man who served the Lord in numerous ways. He ministered to others through music as a member of the adult choir and also served as leader in the Men's Ministries at his church.

He was preceded in death by his father, Cecil Prine Walker and a sister, Judith Walker Robison.

Survivors include his wife, Darlene Bellamy Walker; son, Maj. Ashton Walker of Fort Bragg, N.C.; mother, Dorothy Walker of Floral City; brother, Robert C. Walker and his wife, Karen, of Haines City; five sisters, Keitha Stoney and her husband, Billy Joe of Floral City, LouAnn Stokes of Boulder, Colo., Mary Perrin Thimmes of Inverness, Christa Graham of Benton City, Wash., and Claudia Cuadros and her husband Carlos of Gainesville; three stepsons, Paul, Mark and Shane Mullins, all of Athens, Ga.; three stepdaughters, Melanie Mullins of Athens, Ga., Betty Ann Perez of Crystal River and Rebecca Hutchison of Dunnellon; a granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews.

Eugene C. Cram, 72

Eugene Charles Cram, 72, of Dunnellon, died Friday, Nov. 28, 2003, in Ocala.

A native of North Berwick, Maine, he moved to Dunnellon in 1981 from Draper, Va.

Mr. Cram was a retired U.S. Army security branch service member. He was a member of the TimberRidge Community Church and was a mason, Scottish Rite and Shriner.

Survivors include his wife, Phyllis A.; sons, Eugene D. Cram of Dunnellon and Marc D. Cram of Atlanta; daughter, Lisa Cram-Lorenzo of Dunnellon; sisters, Laura C. Giveen of Brunswick, Maine, Ruby C. Hawkins of Girard, Kansas and Joyce C. Fuller of Orient, Maine; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Noel C. Holt, 66

Noel C. Holt, 66, of Dunnellon, died Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2003, at Munroe Regional Medical Center in Ocala.

A native of Pratt, W.Va., he moved here last year from Sebring.

Mr. Holt was a schoolteacher and retired from Fort Lauderdale Middle School after 35 years. He was Broward County's Teacher of the Year in 1993. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran.

Survivors include his son, Donald M. Holt of Dunnellon; daughter, Bettie L. Pray of Windsor, S.C.; and two grandchildren, Kirsten Michelle Holt and Robert Noel Heckman.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Mary Catherine Holt.

Florida Cremation Society, Ocala, provided the information.

Charlotte L. Meadows, 63

Charlotte Louise Meadows, 63, of Dunnellon, died Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2003, at Summerfield Suites Hospice in Summerfield, Fla.

A native of Baltimore, Md., she came to Dunnellon eight years ago from Kensington, Md.

Mrs. Meadows was a registered nurse by profession, most recently an obstetrics nurse with Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, Md. She was of the Methodist faith and a volunteer at Rainbow Springs State Park in Dunnellon. She was a member of several Rainbow Springs organizations: The Crafty Ladies, Dunnellon Garden Club, Bridge Card Club and the Nuttin Honey Club.

Survivors include her husband of 38 years, David Leroy; son, David Leroy Meadows III of Columbia, Md.; daughter, Kimberly Meadows of Charles Town, W.Va.; brothers, Thomas Mowl of Manchester, Md., Ronald Mowl of Whitehall, Md., and David Mowl of Swodesboro, N.J.; sister, Martha Knight of Ellicott City, Md.; and a grandson, Ryan David Rowles of Charles Town, W.Va.

Robert Morrissey Sr., 73

Robert F. Morrissey Sr., 73, of Citrus Springs, died Monday, Nov. 24, 2003, in Inverness. Born May 19, 1930, in Roslindale, Mass., to William B. and Irene (Butler) Morrissey, he moved here in 1989 from Pawtucket, R.I.

Mr. Morrissey retired in 1988 after 20 years as a manager for a grocery store in Massachusetts.

He was a sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. He was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Beverly Hills.

He volunteered to help his neighbors and loved his family and helped his children.

Survivors include his wife of 491/2 years, Claire T.; four sons and daughters-in-law, Robert F. and Betsy Morrissey Jr. of Lakeland, Ronald William and Annmarie Morrissey of Naples, Michael A. and Kaye Morrissey of Rainbow Lakes and David M. Morrissey of Mooresville, N.C.; three sisters, Marie Polovitch of Norwood, Mass., Marion O'Meara of Wareham, Mass., and Ann Boultenhouse of Bellingham, Mass.; five grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Eleanor Pemberton, 92

Eleanor 'Betty' Pemberson, 92, of Dunnellon, died Sunday, Nov. 30, 2003, in Dunnellon.

A native of Philadelphia, Pa., she moved to the area in 1998 from St. Petersburg.

Mrs. Pemberton was a sales clerk.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Dunnellon and a former member of the Riveria United Methodist Church and the Allendale United Methodist Church, both in St. Petersburg.

She was also instrumental in starting the American Baptist Church of Beatitudes in St. Petersburg.

Survivors include a son, Robert E. Pemberton of Cincinnati, Ohio; daughter, Gloria Sutton of Dunnellon; four grandchildren; a great-grandchild and a great, great-grandchild.
