NEW SMYRNA BEACH -- Ellen Irma Munn, 92, of Enterprise Road, who retired after 20 years of service as a tester for Warren Electronics, Littleton, Mass., died Tuesday at Halifax Medical Center, Daytona Beach.
Mrs. Munn was born in Boston and moved here in 1978 from Washington, N.H. She was a member of Rebekah Lodge and Order of Eastern Star.
Survivors include two sons, Roger, Daytona Beach, and Donald, Norway, Maine; a sister Viven Ilomaki, Fort Pierce; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Volusia - Flagler, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, FL 32129; or Shriners Children's Hospitals, 1111 S. Orange St., New Smyrna Beach, FL 32168. Baldwin Brothers Memorial is in charge.

Zuzana Pasiak
NEW SMYRNA BEACH -- Zuzana Pasiak, 94, of New Smyrna Beach, who retired after 23 years of service as a drill press operator for Pitney Bowes, Stamford, Conn., died Tuesday at Hospice Care Center, Port Orange.
Mrs. Pasiak was born in Rath Sucha, Czechoslovakia, and moved here in 1972 from Stamford.
Survivors include three sons, Joseph, New Smyrna Beach, Gerald, Leesburg, and Koloman, Palm Harbor; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Volusia - Flagler, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, FL 32129. Dudley, New Smyrna Beach, is in charge.

Betty Peacock
DAYTONA BEACH -- Betty A. Peacock, 65, of North Riverside Drive, a resident since 1960, died Sunday at Halifax Medical Center.
Mrs. Peacock, a housekeeper, moved here from her native Hinton, W.Va. She enjoyed gardening and her cat.
Survivors include a daughter, Anita Cheves, DeLand; her mother, Lena Sims, Daytona Beach; a brother, Melvin Sims, Port Orange; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, East Volusia Unit, 146 Orange Ave., Daytona Beach, FL 32114. Baldwin Brothers Memorial, New Smyrna Beach, is in charge.

Faye Busch
PALM COAST -- Faye S. Busch, 84, of Flintstone Court, a member of Palm Coast United Methodist Church, died Friday at Florida Hospital-Flagler.
Mrs. Busch, a former school system secretary, was born in Somerset, Pa. She came here in 1985 from Westport, Conn.
Survivors include two sons, Richard, Palm Coast, and Douglas, Brattleboro, Vt.; and three grandchildren. Coastal Cremation is in charge.

Mary Dakin
HOLLY HILL -- Mary Louise Dakin, 83, of Kings Grant Road, a resident since 1989, died Saturday at Halifax Medical Center, Daytona Beach.
Mrs. Dakin, a homemaker, was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and moved here from Maryland. She graduated from the College of New Rochelle and Columbia University. She enjoyed animals and teaching art.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Myron "Dake"; and a daughter, Suzanne Dakin, Ormond Beach. Memorial donations may be made to the Halifax Humane Society, P.O. Box 9035, Daytona Beach, FL 32120-9035. Pinello, Daytona Beach, is in charge.

Zenon Janowicz
PALM COAST -- Zenon Janowicz, 80, of Princess Jennifer Place, a retired engineer for Queen City Television in Charlotte, N.C., died Sunday at home.
Born in Poland, Mr. Janowicz came here in 1996 from Rutherfordton, N.C. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church and the Polish Society of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Korona. He collected stamps.
Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Czeslawa; a son, Marjuscz, Spartanburg, S.C.; a daughter, Hanna Karolczak, Poland; three stepsons, Jan Jarosiewicz, Burlington, N.C., and Roman and Edward Jarosiewicz, both of Warsaw, Poland; two stepdaughters, Jean Jarosiewicz, Palm Coast, and Sophie Jackson, Charleston, S.C.; 14 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Craig, Flagler Beach, is in charge.

Albert Justice
PORT ORANGE -- Albert Justice, 77, of Hail Court, a retired machinist for a commercial furnace manufacturing company, died Monday at home.
Mr. Justice, a Navy veteran of World War II, was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and moved here in 2002 from Feasterville, Pa.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Theresa; two sons, Walter, Port Orange, and James, Levittown, Pa.; two daughters, Barbara Finkenhofer, Rockford, Ill., and Joy Farmer, Lansdale, Pa.; a sister, Eileen Honnen, Olney, Pa.; 14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Volusia - Flagler, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, FL 32129. Alavon Direct Cremation, South Daytona, is in charge.

Wayne Maki
PORT ORANGE -- Wayne Maki, 62, of Lemon Street, a native of Trimountain, Mich., died Sunday at Halifax Medical Center, Daytona Beach.
Mr. Maki, who worked in the construction industry, moved here in 1961 from Ramsay, Mich. He was a member of Amvets, the American Legion and Eagles. He enjoyed fishing, motorcycling and bingo.
Survivors include a son, Dwayne, New Smyrna Beach; two daughters, Doreen Maki, Daytona Beach, and Rochelle Maki, Port Orange; his father, Waino "Barney" Maki, Ramsay; four brothers, James, Port Orange, William and John, both of Ramsay, and Edward, St. Louis; and four grandchildren. Cardwell & Maloney is in charge.

Louis Marotta
DAYTONA BEACH -- Louis A. Marotta, 74, of La Flor Lane, a native of Cambridge, Mass., died Saturday at Huntington Village.
Mr. Marotta, an Army veteran of the Korean War, came here in 1986 from Chelmsford, Mass. He was a former electronics design engineer who attended Northeastern University. He enjoyed golf.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Marylin; a son, Edwin Marotta, and a daughter, Deborah Carter, both of Massachusetts; a brother, Alfred Molina; a sister, Mary Haugh; and five grandchildren. Daytona Funeral Home is in charge.

Josephine Polk
PALM COAST -- Josephine W. Polk, 97, of Webner Place, a resident since 1992, died Monday at home.
Mrs. Polk, a former teller for PNC banks of Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, was born in Frankford, Del. She moved here from Prospect Park, Pa. She was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Margaret Sellier, Palm Coast; three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Volusia - Flagler, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, FL 32129; or the building fund of St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 5400 Belle Terre Pkwy, Palm Coast, FL 32137. Coastal Cremation is in charge.

John Rae
EDGEWATER -- John W. Rae, 78, of Helmsmen Lane, a retired manager of the former Ben Franklin Store in New Smyrna Beach, died Monday at Hospice Care Center, Port Orange.
Mr. Rae, an Army veteran of World War II, was born in Reading, Pa., and came here in 1977 from Ho-Ho-Kus, N.J. He earned his bachelor's degree from Rutgers and his master's degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara; two sons, John, Edgewater, and Thomas, Hockessin, Del.; two daughters, Robin Infante, Orlando, and Kori Rae, San Francisco; a brother, Joseph, Wilbraham, Mass.; and four grandchildren. Settle-Wilder, Edgewater, is in charge.

Leigh Sanko
PALM COAST -- Leigh C. Sanko, 72, of Banbury Lane, a real estate agent for Coldwell Banker Walter Williams Realty, died Saturday at home.
Mr. Sanko, a Navy veteran, was born in Calumet, Mich. He moved here in 1986 from Detroit. He retired from Ford Motor Co. He was a member of the Coldwell Banker International Diamond Society.
No known immediate relatives survive. Palm Coast Funeral Home is in charge.

Mary Schussler
JACKSONVILLE -- Mary C. Schussler, 91, of Jacksonville, a former resident of South Daytona, died Monday at Earl B. Hadlow Hospice Center.
Ms. Schussler, a former hairstylist and cosmetologist, was born in Rices Landing, Pa.
Survivors include Gyen Roach, Jacksonville, who provided for her care. Baldwin Brothers Memorial, New Smyrna Beach, is in charge.

Robert Thornton
DAYTONA BEACH -- Robert S. Thornton, 88, of Ribault Avenue, a resident since 1982, died Monday at Halifax Medical Center.
Mr. Thornton, a retired auto salesman, was born in Palatka and came to this area from Atlanta. He was a hunter and a sports fan.
Survivors include four sons, Stephen, Harbor Oaks, Robert Jr., Titusville, Christopher, Jacksonville, and Greg, Atlanta; a daughter, Carole Martin, Melbourne; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Settle-Wilder, New Smyrna Beach, is in charge.

Dulce Rojas
HOLLY HILL -- Dulce M. Rojas, 96, of Riverside Drive, a native of Cuba, died Wednesday at Regency House, Daytona Beach.
Ms. Rojas came to this area in 1999 from Inverness. She enjoyed sewing and making clothes.
Survivors include a son, Lino, Holly Hill; a brother, Angel, Miami; a sister, Paula Rojas, New York City; and a grandchild. Daytona Funeral Home, Daytona Beach, is in charge.

Florence Schamis
ORMOND BEACH -- Florence Pearl Schamis, 82, of Clyde Morris Boulevard, a native of New York City, died Sunday at Florida Hospital-Ormond Memorial.
Mrs. Schamis, a retired insurance broker, moved here in 1997 from New York.
Survivors include two sons, Martin, Palm Coast, and Jeffery, Chicago; a sister, Judith Nahmias, New York City; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Memorial donations may be made to Stuart Meyer Hospice House, co Memorial Health Systems Foundation, 770 W. Granada Blvd., Suite 102, Ormond Beach, FL 32174. New Life Cremation is in charge.

Charles Tolson
DAYTONA BEACH -- Charles Warren Tolson, 58, of Wallace Drive, a resident since 1977, died Sunday at Halifax Medical Center.
Mr. Tolson, an Army veteran of the Vietnam War, was born in Wolf County, Ky., and came here from Cincinnati. He was a commercial fisherman.
Survivors include a son and daughter, Sonny and Tina Tolson ; his mother, Roxie Tolson, Warsaw, Ky.; three brothers, Robert Tolson, Warsaw, Richard Tolson, Florence, Ky., and Eugene Hollan, Verona, Ky.; and a sister, Alma Davidson, Daytona Beach. New Life Cremation, Ormond Beach, is in charge.
