Dell Redenour
DAYTONA BEACH -- Dell Redenour, 102, of Wilder Boulevard, a former clerk at Daytona Beach Community College, died Monday at Halifax Medical Center.
Mrs. Redenour was born in Chicago and moved to this area in 1961 from Cleveland. She was a member of Order of Eastern Star and volunteered for the American Red Cross.
Survivors include a daughter, Allyce Stork, Twinsburg, Ohio; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. Haigh-Black, Daytona Beach, is in charge.

Marilyn Ridenour
ORANGE CITY -- Marilyn Irene Ridenour, 61, of Hollow Ridge Drive, an administrator for Republic Bank, Jackson, Mich., until retiring after more than 30 years of service, died Wednesday at Florida Hospital-Fish Memorial.
Mrs. Ridenour was a winter resident here, coming from her native Jackson. She was a member of Orange City United Methodist and Jackson Free Methodist churches.
Survivors include her husband of 42 years, John; three daughters, Debra Bates, Spencerport, N.Y., Carrie Tinsley, Pineville, La., and Vonnie Lammers, Springport, Mich.; a brother, G.E. VanZandt, Gorham, Maine; a sister, Barbara Mitchell, Reading, Mich.; and seven grandchildren. Memorial donations may be made to the building fund of Jackson Free Methodist Church, 282 E. Park Drive, Jackson, MI 49203. Allen-Summerhill, Orange City, is in charge.

Marie Ross
NEW SMYRNA BEACH -- Marie Ross, 90, of Sheldon Street, a member of Oak Grove Church of the Apostolic Faith, died Tuesday at Halifax Medical Center, Daytona Beach.
Mrs. Ross was a native of New Smyrna Beach.
Survivors include two nieces, Betty Davenport, Port Orange, and Adell Montague, Miami, both of whom provided for her care. Gainous-Wynn is in charge.

Ruth Schmidt
PALM COAST -- Ruth Schmidt, 89, of Mid Pine Circle, a resident since 1996, died Tuesday at Florida Hospital-Ormond Memorial.
Mrs. Schmidt, a homemaker, was born in Newark, N.J., and moved here from Springfield, N.J. She enjoyed walking and bingo.
Survivors include a son, Edward Ecker, Flagler Beach; a brother, George Baxel, The Villages; a sister, Helen Larsen, West Caldwell, N.J.; two grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Volusia - Flagler, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, FL 32129. Palm Coast Funeral Home is in charge.

Steven Singer
DAYTONA BEACH -- Steven Singer, 41, of Bay Street, a native of Philadelphia, died Tuesday at home.
Mr. Singer moved here in 2000 from Pennsylvania. He enjoyed walking.
Survivors include a daughter, Jennifer, Pennsylvania; three brothers, Brian, Daytona Beach, Scott, Dallas, and Kevin, Livonia, Mich.; and a sister, Sharon Singer, Hazelton, Pa. Baggett & Summers is in charge.

Milford Smith
DELAND -- Milford Smith, 83, of West Talton Avenue, owner of Smith Realty for more than 20 years before retiring, died Tuesday at Florida Hospital-DeLand.
Born in Wayne, W.Va., Mr. Smith, an Army Air Forces veteran of World War II, moved to this area in 1960 from Key West. He was an avid golfer.
Survivors include a sister, Esta White, New Haven, Ind. Memorial donations may be made to Muscular Dystrophy Association, P.O. Box 78342, Phoenix, AZ 85062-8342. Carpenter-Curry is in charge.

Katherine Thompson
ORMOND BEACH -- Katherine S. Thompson, 89, a native of New Smyrna Beach, died Tuesday at Ormond Beach Health Care Center.
Mrs. Thompson, a homemaker, moved here in 1986 from Ellwood City, Pa.
Survivors include two daughters, Susan Duncan, Fombell, Pa., and Helen Lyons, Pennsylvania; three grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter. Ormond Funeral Home is in charge.

Ronald Tyler
GALESBURG, Ill. -- Ronald D. Tyler, 54, of Galesburg, son of Elsie Tyler, Port Orange, died Sunday at Cottage Hospital.
Mr. Tyler, an Army veteran who achieved the rank of captain, was born in Gouverneur, N.Y. For the past 14 years, he was health and safety director for the American Red Cross in Galesburg. He earned his bachelor's degree from St. Lawrence University, his master's degree from Colorado Schools of Mines and his Ph.D. from State University of New York.
Additional survivors include his wife of 31 years, Lynne Robideau; two daughters, Melissa and Rebecca Tyler, both of Galesburg; his father, Robert, Ogdensburg, N.Y.; a brother, Robert, Oneida, N.Y.; and a sister, Susan Allen, Sherrill, N.Y. Memorial donations may be made to the American Red Cross, 341 White St., Daytona Beach, FL 32114-2947. Watson Funeral Home, Galesburg, is in charge.

Helen Wagner
ORMOND BEACH -- Helen Elizabeth Wagner, 83, of Glen Falls Drive, a retired high school cafeteria worker in West Islip, N.Y., died Tuesday at Florida Hospital-Ormond Memorial.
Mrs. Wagner was born in New York and moved to this area in 1987 from New Port Richey. She was a member of the West Islip Auxiliary.
Survivors include a son, Edward, Shirley, N.Y.; a daughter, Linda Grant, Barrington, N.H.; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Volusia Memorial, Ormond Beach, is in charge.

John Wallach
WEST YARMOUTH, Mass. -- John M. Pattee Wallach, 89, of West Yarmouth, an Ormond Beach resident from 1980 to 1999, died Thursday at Hospice House, Barnstable, Mass.
Mr. Wallach, a Navy veteran, was born in Cleveland. He retired in 1976 as ocean transport director for H.J. Baker & Bro. in New York. He was a member of Cranberry Valley Golf Club, Harwich, Mass., Tomoka Oaks Country Club, Ormond Beach, and the New England Genealogical Society. He attended the University of Notre Dame.
Survivors include his wife, Eileen; a son, Christopher Simms, Arendale, N.C.; and a daughter, Suzanne Lovett, Campobello, S.C. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice House, co Hospice and Palliative Care of Cape Cod, 270 Communication Way, Hyannis, MA 02601; or the University of Notre Dame, Development Office, 1100 Grace Hall, Notre Dame, IN 46556. Doane, Beal & Ames Funeral Service, Hyannis, is in charge.

Blanche Welch-Etchis
PLANT CITY -- Blanche Welch-Etchis, 93, of Plant City, the mother of Ormond Beach residents James Welch and Sara Headley, died Tuesday at home.
Born in Tolono, Ill., Mrs. Welch-Etchis, moved to Plant City from Sadorus, Ill. She was in the food service testing department of the University of Illinois. She attended Daytona Beach Baptist Church and was a member of Order of Eastern Star. She enjoyed traveling and wildlife.
Additional survivors include a son, Wayne, Battle Creek, Mich.; three daughters, Marilyn Roney, Lawton, Okla., Carol Compton, Fallston, N.C., and Pamela Conner, Plant City; her parents, Curtis Moore, and Sarah Sutton; 19 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Freese Funeral Home, Tolono, is in charge.

Robert Zlatos
DELTONA -- Robert Zlatos, 62, of Carrin Street, a resident since 1992, died Wednesday at Jess Parrish Medical Center, Titusville.
Mr. Zlatos, an Army veteran, was born in Chicago. He was the owner of a fluid sealing distribution business. He was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church. He enjoyed traveling and golfing.
Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Geraldin; a son, Jeff, and a daughter, Laura Jung, both of Deltona; his mother, Marian Zlatos, Westchester, Ill.; a brother, Frank Zlatos, Lemont, Ill.; a sister, Patricia Lindberg, Neehan, Wis.; and four grandchildren. Baldauff, Orange City, is in charge.

Eleanor Anderson
NEW SMYRNA BEACH -- Eleanor R. Anderson, 82, of Lake Fairgreen Circle, who instructed Navy pilots in instrument flying procedures at the Naval Air Station in Chamblee, Ga., during World War II, died Wednesday at home.
Mrs. Anderson moved here in 1976 from her native Atlanta. A former teacher who earned her master's degree in education from Georgia State University, she received the Freedoms Foundation of Valley Forge Award. She was a member of First Baptist Church, the Business and Professional Women's Club and the Alpha Delta Kappa Sorority. She volunteered as a Pink Lady at Bert Fish Medical Center.
Survivors include her husband, Leslie; two sons, Leslie Jr., Chuluota, and Robert, San Francisco; a daughter, Susanne Darkes, New Smyrna Beach; a grandson; and a great-grandson. Baldwin Brothers Memorial is in charge.

Elizabeth Cruikshank
DAYTONA BEACH -- Elizabeth A. Cruikshank, 86, of Loomis Avenue, a native of New York City, died Tuesday at Regency House.
Survivors include a daughter, Lorraine Silva, Lindenhurst, N.Y.; a sister, Mary Davenport, Prince Frederick, Md.; and a caregiver, Barbara Long, Daytona Beach. Hannah Cremation, Holly Hill, is in charge.

Bertha Des TroisMaisons
ORMOND BEACH -- Bertha Des TroisMaisons, 89, of Sunny Shore Drive, a retired longtime food and beverage manager for the Tavern Motor Inn in Montpelier, Vt., died Thursday at Florida Hospital-Ormond Memorial.
Mrs. Des TroisMaisons was born in St. Johnsbury, Vt., and moved here in 1972 from Montpelier. She was a member of St. Brendan's Catholic Church and St. John's Catholic Church, St. Johnsbury.
Survivors include Margaret Hunter and Annie Abshire, who provided for her care. Haigh-Black, Ormond Beach, is in charge.

Austin Gilliam
ORANGE CITY -- Austin Clyde Gilliam, 78, of Howard Avenue, who formerly owned a Diamond Rio truck dealership in New Haven, Ind., died Thursday at Mariner Health Care of Orange City, DeBary.
Mr. Gilliam was born in Westmoreland, Tenn., and came to this area in 2001 from Hernando County. A Navy veteran of World War II, he served on an LSMR rocket ship. His memberships included Westminster Presbyterian Church, DeLand, Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Eagles, American Legion, National Landing Craft Infantry Association, and the Navy Club as a charter member.
Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Carolyn; a son, Austin, Danville, Ill.; three daughters, Judith Patterson and Carol Grinnage, both of Lafayette, Ind., and Kimberly Westfall, Columbia, Mo.; a brother, Earl, Portland, Ore.; a sister, Mary Pettry, Lafayette; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Volusia - Flagler, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, FL 32129. Lankford, DeLand, is in charge.

Regis Leonard
NEW SMYRNA BEACH -- Regis J. Leonard, 69, of Saxon Drive, a member of the Franciscan Friars, Third Order Regular, Province of the Immaculate Conception, Hollidaysburg, Pa., died Thursday at home.
Brother Regis was born in Springfield, Mass., and entered the Franciscan Order in 1959 in Hollidaysburg. He moved to this area in 1998 from Key West. He earned a bachelor's degree in nursing from the St. Cloud (Minn.) Hospital nursing school and was a registered nurse at St. Gabriel's Hospital, Little Falls, Minn., and St. Joseph's Hospital, Warren, Ohio.
No known immediate relatives survive. Dudley, New Smyrna Beach, is in charge.
