AUG. 6, 1946 -- JULY 29, 2003
DELAND -- Jack. O. Anderson, 56, of Lakeview Terrace, a native of Canton, Ohio, died Tuesday at Hospice Care Center.
Mr. Anderson was a police officer in the Orlando area.
Survivors include a daughter, Kimberly Parent, Orange City; and four grandchildren. Altman-Long, DeBary, is in charge.

Nancy Bursey
DEC. 27, 1920 -- JULY 24, 2003
DELTONA -- Nancy L. Bursey, 82, of West Embassy Drive, a resident since 1973, died July 24 at Florida Hospital-DeLand.
Mrs. Bursey, a homemaker, moved here from her native Baltimore. She enjoyed sewing and animals.
Survivors include a daughter, Jeanette Cagle, Sanford; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Volusia County Cremation, Daytona Beach, is in charge.

Deborah Cline
JAN. 6, 1967 - JULY 30, 2003
ORLANDO -- Deborah Marie Cline, 36, of Orlando, a former Deltona resident, died Wednesday at home from a heart attack.
Born in Des Plaines, Ill., Mrs. Cline, a homemaker, moved to Orlando nine years ago from Deltona. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. An avid doll collector, she also enjoyed shopping.
Survivors include her husband of 11 years, Robert; a son, Eric and a daughter, Stephanie Cline, both of Orlando; her mother, Patricia Jensen, DeLand; three brothers, Peter Jensen, Edgewater, William Jensen, Lake Mary, and Michael Jensen, Moorseville, Ind.; and four sisters, Donna Aliotta, Deltona, Carol Kimmel, Kileen, Texas, Barbara Aliotta, Rockwell, Texas, and Catherine Barlow, Elk Grove Village, Ill. Baldauff, Orange City, is in charge.

Virginia Desimini
FEB. 2, 1909 -- JULY 30, 2003
DAYTONA BEACH -- Virginia Desimini, 94, of Daytona Beach, a resident since 1999, died Wednesday at Halifax Medical Center.
Mrs. Desimini, a homemaker, was born in Harriman, N.Y., and moved to this area from Delray Beach. She enjoyed gardening and reading.
Survivors include her husband of 67 years, William; two sons, William Jr., Palm Coast, and Thomas, San Francisco; four grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Ormond Funeral Home, Ormond Beach, is in charge.

Nancy Doran
SEPT. 10, 1927 -- JULY 30, 2003
NEW SMYRNA BEACH -- Nancy Doran, 75, of Rochester Court, a retired telephone operator for AT&T and Castleton State College, Vermont, died Wednesday at Bert Fish Medical Center.
Born in Charlotte, Vt., Mrs. Doran moved here in 2002 from Castleton. She was a member and communicant for Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic Church, Fair Haven, Vt., member and past president of the Fair Haven American Legion and the Castleton Senior Citizen Center. She served on several school boards.
Survivors include seven sons, James, Edward Jr., William, Joseph, Thomas and Timothy, all of Castleton, and Michael, Benson, Vt.; five daughters, Sue Doran, New Smyrna Beach, Coreen Herrick, Concord, N.H., Lori Hesch, Groton, Conn., Joan Csezmesia, Arlington, Vt., and Mary Doran; a brother, Herbert Villemaire, Springfield, Vt.; two sisters, Anna Symons, North Field, N.C., and Elsie Goad, Rutland, Vt.; 25 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Settle-Wilder, New Smyrna Beach, is in charge.

Harold Holsombach
MARCH 20, 1937 -- JULY 30, 2003
HEATHROW -- Harold D. Holsombach, 66, of Heathrow, a self-employed general contractor in Volusia County, died Wednesday at his home.
Mr. Holsombach, an Army veteran, was born in Atlanta and moved to Florida in 1938. He was a board member of Community National Bank. He enjoyed golfing.
Survivors include a wife of 32 years, Beverly; two sons, Harold III, Osteen, and John, Orlando; two daughters, Susan Cox, Deltona, and Cinda Holsombach-Ebner, Alamo-Gardo, N.M.; a brother Robert, Melbourne; four grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. Baldauff, Orange City, is in charge.

Lester Leonard
MAY 7, 1920 -- JULY 30, 2003
ORMOND BEACH -- Dr. Lester Leonard, 83, of Wilmette Avenue, a retired anesthesiologist, died Wednesday at Florida Hospital-Ormond Memorial.
Dr. Leonard, a surgeon for the Navy during World Ward II, was born in Patchogue, N.Y., and moved to this area in 1984 from Gainesville. He also owned and operated the Ocean Dunes Hotel from 1985-1989. A graduate of the University of Tampa, he was a member of the American Medical Association. He enjoyed writing.
Survivors include three sons, Ira, Ormond Beach, Andrew and Robert, both of Clermont; and a sister, Florence Solomon, Lake Worth. Volusia Memorial, Port Orange, is in charge.

Donald Madson
MAY 26, 1959 -- JULY 30, 2003
HOLLY HILL -- Donald Charles Madson, 44, of Flomich Street, a former truck driver, died Wednesday at home.
Mr. Madson, a Navy veteran, was born in Santa Ana, Calif., and moved here in 1961 from Jacksonville. An ordained minister, he was a member of Oasis Fellowship Church, Christian Motorcycle Association and the Tribesman Club.
Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Dawn; a son, Brian, South Daytona; his mother and stepfather, Joan and Roy Holbrooks, Ormond Beach; and a sister, Sandra Ronca, Ocala. Memorial donations may be made to Tribesman Club, 365 Creek Lane, Ormond Beach, FL 32174. Woodward, Holly Hill, is in charge.

Michael McGee
JULY 13, 1958 -- JULY 28, 2003
DAYTONA BEACH -- Michael O'Neill McGee, 45, of Flushing Avenue, a cabinet maker for Alfred's Cabinetry, Ormond Beach, died Monday at Halifax Medical Center.
Mr. McGee, an Air Force veteran, was born in Charlotte, N.C., and moved here in 1989 from Sanford, N.C. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking and the beach.
Survivors include two brothers, Patrick, Raleigh, N.C., and Jonathan, St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands; and two sisters, Shannon Ward, Williamston, N.C., and Melissa Smith, Hope Mills, N.C. Alavon Direct Cremation, South Daytona, is in charge.

Baker Panarella
MARCH 10, 1980 -- JULY 29, 2003
DAYTONA BEACH -- Baker William Panarella, 23, of San Juan Avenue, a student at Thiel College, Erie, Pa., died Tuesday at home. An autopsy is pending.
Mr. Panarella moved to this area this year from his birthplace, Johnstown, Pa. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing guitar, playing college football and his dog.
Survivors include his parents, Frank and Kathy Panarella, Daytona Beach; his maternal grandmother, Betty Hutzell, and his paternal grandparents, Frank and Kathy Panarella, all of Johnstown; and his fiancee, Heather Black, Daytona Beach. Alavon Direct Cremation, South Daytona, is in charge.

Corey Powers
JUNE 20, 1980 -- JULY 30, 2003
ORMOND BEACH -- Corey Powers, 23, of Hand Avenue, a former student of Boston Avenue School, DeLand, died Wednesday of natural causes at a group home in Deltona.
Born in Daytona Beach, Mr. Powers was member of Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church. He enjoyed art, bowling, video games and science.
Survivors include his mother, Freddie Denise Powers, Ormond; his stepfather, Jimmie Cooper, Castleberry; and his grandmother, Dorothy Powers. Thompson, Daytona Beach, is in charge.

Martha Riviere
MARCH 10, 1924 -- JULY 29, 2003
PALM COAST -- Martha Riviere, 79, of Burning Bush Drive, a resident since 1987, died Tuesday at home.
Born in Mexico, Mrs. Riviere moved here from New Jersey. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church.
Survivors include two brothers, Charles Berthoud, Barefoot Bay, and John Berthoud, Strawberry Plains, Tenn. Craig, Flagler Beach, is in charge.

Raymond Breslin
MAY 6, 1921 -- JULY 29, 2003
ORANGE CITY -- Raymond James Breslin, 82, of Pineview Drive, a retired production manager in Linden, N.J., died Tuesday at Hospice Care Center, Port Orange.
Mr. Breslin, a Navy veteran of World War II, was born in Lansing, Mich., and moved here in 1989 from New Jersey. He was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church, Deltona, and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post, DeBary.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Elizabeth; two sons, Tim, Green Valley, Ariz., and Patrick, Tavares; a daughter, Jeannette Roselli, Deltona; and two grandchildren. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Volusia - Flagler, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, FL 32129. Allen-Summerhill, Orange City, is in charge.

Dirk Cook
MARCH 3, 1933 -- JULY 28, 2003
ORANGE CITY -- Dirk G. Cook, 70, of Midvale Court, who retired as the owner of a U-Haul business in New Jersey, died Monday at home.
Mr. Cook was born in Jersey City, N.J., and moved here in 1984 from New Jersey. A handyman, he enjoyed working on cars.
Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Elizabeth; two sons, Tom, Georgia, and David, Pennsylvania; two daughters, Linda Brown, Deltona, and Shirley Myers, Dearborn, Mich.; his mother, Dorothy Ross, Kissimmee; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Daytona Funeral Home, Daytona Beach, is in charge.
