PORT ORANGE -- Mary Artigliere, 81, a resident since 2000, died Thursday at Hospice Care Center.
Mrs. Artigliere was born in Whippany, N.J., and moved here from Gaithersburg, Md. A homemaker, she enjoyed knitting, crocheting and cooking.
Survivors include three sons, Anthony, Port Orange, Ralph, Bartow, and Jerry, South Haven, Miss.; a sister, Veronica Krygoski, Whippany; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Volusia - Flagler, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange 32129. All State Cremation, Daytona Beach, is in charge.

Edgar Centeno
AUG. 4, 1957 -- NOV. 28, 2003
HOLLY HILL -- Edgar Y. Centeno, 46, of Center Avenue, a native of Puerto Rico, died Friday at home.
Mr. Centeno moved here nine years ago from Brooklyn, N.Y. He enjoyed electronics.
Survivors include a daughter, Stephanie Centeno, Brooklyn; his mother, Iris Santiago, Puerto Rico; two brothers, Elcton, Miami, and Orlando, Puerto Rico; and two sisters, Jaquline Centeno, Holly Hill, and Quetcy Centeno, New York. Woodward, Holly Hill, is in charge.

Henry Coitrone
SEPT. 4, 1930 -- NOV. 29, 2003
DAYTONA BEACH -- Henry F. Coitrone, 73, a retired truck driver, died Saturday at Regency House Skilled Nursing Facility.
Mr. Coitrone moved to this area in January from his native of Meriden, Conn. He enjoyed fishing.
Survivors include four sons, Jason, Ormond Beach, James, Daytona Beach, William, Wallingford, Conn., and Michael, Meriden; a brother, Theodore, Meriden; 12 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. All State Cremation is in charge.

Nancy Overton
JUNE 6, 1920 -- NOV. 28, 2003
ORMOND BEACH -- Nancy D. Overton, 83, of River Beach Drive, a native of Brooklyn, N.Y., died Friday at home.
Ms. Overton, a homemaker, moved here in 1954 from Manhasset, N.Y. She was a member of Halifax River Yacht Club, Oceanside Country Club and former member of the Halifax Club. Ms. Overton was a master bridge player and an avid sports fan.
Survivors include a son, Richard, Jacksonville; and a daughter, Wendy Overton, Gulf Stream. Memorial donations may be made to Florida Hospital Memorial HospiceCare, 770 W. Granada Blvd., Ormond Beach, FL 32174. Alavon Direct Cremation, South Daytona, is in charge.

Carol Bland
JUNE 13, 1931 -- NOV. 29, 2003
WESTERVILLE, Ohio -- Carol Jean Bland, 72, of Westerville, a former Ormond Beach resident, died Saturday at a hospital in Westerville.
Mrs. Bland, who moved to Westerville from Ormond Beach in 2002, was a member of the Grace Community Church, Ormond Beach, the Florida Christian Women's Club and Bible Study Fellowship. She was a Bridge Gold Life Master and a professional clown. Mrs. Bland was founder and owner of the Dublin Forum and Dublin Villager newspapers in Dublin, Ohio.
Survivors include two sons, Joe and Rod Bland; four daughters, Shelley Hoffman, Melanie Wollenberg, Janelle Courtwight and Judi Meyer; two brothers, Thomas Powell and Phil Blazer; a sister, Bobbie Edmunds; 15 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Memorial donations may be made to Grace Brethren North American Missions, co Chuck and Millie Davis, P.O. Box 587, Winona Lake, Ind.Rutherford Funeral Home, Powell, Ohio, is in charge.

Susan Graham
DEC. 14, 1964 -- NOV. 25, 2003
DELTONA -- Susan Gail Graham, 38, of Santa Clara Drive, a resident since 1991, died Tuesday at Florida Hospital-Fish Memorial, Orange City.
Born in Findlay, Ohio, Mrs. Graham, a homemaker, moved here from Wisconsin.
Survivors include her husband of 12 years, Hugh; a son, Anthony Thomason, and a stepson, Shane Graham, both of Deltona; her stepfather, James Burke, Altamonte Springs; four brothers, Mike and Eric Thomason, both of Orlando, Kevin Thomason, New York, and Chris Thomason, Ohio; and a sister, Linda Thomason, Pennsylvania. Alavon Direct Cremation, South Daytona, is in charge.

Jewel Green
JAN. 12, 1952 -- NOV. 29, 2003
DELAND -- Jewel "Bonnie" Green, 51, of South Delaware Avenue, a native of DeLand, died Saturday at Florida Hospital-DeLand.
Survivors include eight brothers, Ernest Byrd, Daytona Beach, Nathaniel and Eugene Green, Robert Thomas and George Maddox, all of DeLand, Willie Maddox, Bunnell, Robert Maddox, Orange City, and Bobby Maddox, Augusta, Ga.; and five sisters, Jannie Green, Marie Birch-Barkley, and Mary Harpe, all of DeLand, Willie Jones, Osteen, and Panke Jones, Sanford. Mack, DeLand, is in charge.

Julia Lowe
JULY 31, 1917 -- NOV. 27, 2003
DAYTONA BEACH -- Julia Faye Lowe, 86, of Williamson Boulevard, a weaver for Poinsett Abney Mills in South Carolina before her retirement, died Thursday at Florida Hospital-Ormond Memorial.
Mrs. Lowe was born in Greenville, S.C., and moved here in 1999 from Travelers Rest, S.C. She was a member of Order of Eastern Star.
Survivors include a son, Les, Edgewater; two daughters, Dorothy Weedman, South Carolina, and Barbara Powers, Mauldin, S.C.; 11 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. Woodward, Holly Hill, is in charge.

Alfred McCauley
NOV. 29, 1920 -- NOV. 25, 2003
DELTONA -- Alfred William McCauley, 82, of Radford Drive, a former security guard for General Dynamics, Sanford, died Tuesday at Florida Hospital-Fish Memorial, Orange City.
Mr. McCauley, an Air Force veteran, moved to this area in 1953 from his native Wakefield, Mass. He also worked as a security guard for Martin-Marietta, Orlando.
Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Isabel; a son, Ricardo, Deltona; three daughters, Mariselle Ward and Annel Walker, both of Deltona, and Anna Merlino, Daytona Beach; and a grandchild. Tri-County Cremation, South Daytona, is in charge.

Mark McGaha
AUG. 9, 1961 -- NOV. 25, 2003
LAS VEGAS -- Mark Robert McGaha, 42, of Las Vegas, a former South Daytona police officer, died Tuesday at Sunrise Hospital, Las Vegas.
A native of Cincinnati, Mr. McGaha was an engineer at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas. He was a founding member of the Metz Social Club, South Daytona.
Survivors include a daughter, Lauren McGaha, and five stepdaughters, Sheri, Julie, Melissa, Angie and Katie Baublit, all of Las Vegas; his mother, Betty Jane McGaha, Ormond Beach; four brothers, David McGaha, South Daytona, Dan McGaha, Port Orange, Kevin Mitchell, Minnesota and Larry Yates, Charleston, S.C.; and a sister, Linda Souders, Malabar. Pinello, Daytona Beach, is in charge.

Janet Macey
MARCH 6, 1935 -- NOV. 27, 2003
LAKE HELEN -- Janet Mae Macey, 68, of Hickory Lane, a former financial clerk for a housing authority, died Thursday at home.
Mrs. Macey was born in Pittsburgh and moved to this area in 1985 from Ashtabula, Ohio. She was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church, Deltona. Mrs. Macey enjoyed crafts and sewing.
Survivors include three sons, Charles and John Bracken and Anthony Michaels, all of Deltona; five daughters, Dianne Woodring, Lake Helen, Cynthia Bracken and Rene Thomas, both of Ashtabula, Lana Ward, Granbury, Texas, and Lisa Squires, Saudi Arabia; two sisters, Dee Lightcap, Lake Helen, and Ruthanne Dietrich, Boca Raton; 26 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Alavon Direct Cremation, South Daytona, is in charge.

Melva Moret
OCT. 18, 1926 -- NOV. 29, 2003
DELTONA -- Melva Moret, 77, of Antelope Drive, a native of Panama City, Panama, died Saturday at Florida Hospital-Fish Memorial, Orange City.
Mrs. Moret, a homemaker, came here in 1993 from Puerto Rico. She was a member of Trinity Assembly of God. She enjoyed sewing and cooking.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Rafael; a son, Ricardo, and a daughter, Argelis Moret, both of Deltona; a brother, Fernando Sanchez, and a sister, Geraldine Emiliani, both of Panama; two grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter. Baldauff, Orange City, is in charge.

Kenneth Ritter
JULY 18, 1920 -- NOV. 25, 2003
ORMOND BEACH -- Kenneth Paul Ritter, 83, of Ocean Shore Boulevard, who retired from the Air Force as a lieutenant colonel after 28 years service, died Tuesday at his daughter's home in Waukesha, Wis.
Born in New York City, Mr. Ritter, a World War II veteran, moved to this area in 1970 from Princeton, W.Va. He was a member of Riverview United Methodist Church. An avid baseball fan, Mr. Ritter played in the minor leagues in New York City and was scouted by the New York Yankees. His career ended when he dislocated his shoulder while pitching. He continued to coach and enjoyed watching the sport.
Survivors include two daughters, Candace Lockhart, Micanopy, and Deborah Knuth, Waukesha; three grandsons; and a great-grandson. Memorial donations may be made to Riverview United Methodist Church, 2253 John Anderson Drive, Ormond Beach, FL 32176. Haigh-Black, Ormond Beach, is in charge.

Robert Strawn
SEPT. 16, 1956 -- NOV. 28, 2003
DAYTONA BEACH -- Robert David Strawn, 47, of Ora Street, a landscaper and maintenance worker, died Friday at Halifax Medical Center.
Mr. Strawn was born in Landstul, Germany, and moved here in 2002 from Tennessee. He enjoyed riding motorcycles.
Survivors include his mother, Dorothy Strawn, Stuart, and a brother, Willis II, Storm Lake, Iowa. Alavon Direct Cremation, South Daytona, is in charge.
