William Stepp III

HOLLY HILL -- William R. "Billy" Stepp III, 29, of Bay Street, an animal sitter, died Thursday at home.

Mr. Stepp, a 1993 graduate of Mainland High School, was born in San Mateo, Calif., and moved here in 1980 from San Jose, Calif. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church. Mr. Stepp enjoyed listening to Elvis Presley music.

Survivors include his mother, Ella Kay Talley, Port Orange; his father, William Jr., Lawrenceville, Ga.; and a brother, Daniel Stepp, Mayport Naval Station. Cardwell & Maloney, Port Orange, is in charge.

Rosemary Wildrick

MARCH 3, 1937 -- JUNE 3, 2004

DELTONA -- Rosemary M. Wildrick, 67, of Algoma Street, a claims examiner for an insurance company, died Thursday at home.

Mrs. Wildrick was born in Newark, N.J., and moved here in 1990 from Blairstown, N.J. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Deltona and its Women's Society.

Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Lloyd; two sons, L. Tom, Bushkill, Pa., and Gerald, Sussex, N.J.; two daughters, Laura Primirano, Deltona, and Leslie Ziegler, Mountain Home, Pa.; a brother, Robert Gangwisch, Glendale, Ariz.; and three grandchildren. Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, Gift of Remembrance Headquarters, 1101 N. Lake Destiny Road, Suite 415, Maitland, FL 32751-7105. Baldauff, Orange City, is in charge.

Martha Bodish

MARCH 9, 1923 -- MAY 30, 2004

DELTONA -- Martha Bodish, 81, of Vicksburg Street, a retired cosmetologist, died Sunday at Florida Hospital-Fish Memorial, Orange City.

Mrs. Bodish was born in Rices Landing, Pa., and moved to this area in 1984. She was an inspector for the Navy during World War II. She was a member of the Lutheran Church of Providence. Mrs. Bodish enjoyed oil painting, gardening, sewing and cooking.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Eugene; two daughters, Karen Progar, Aliquippa, Pa., and Louann Meisinger, Annandale, Va.; two brothers, Theodore Sova, Sylmar, California, and Donald Sova, Rices Landing; a sister, Theresa Belski, Rices Landing; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Memorial donations may be made to the Lutheran Church of Providence, 1696 Providence Blvd., Deltona, FL 32725. Baldauff, Orange City, is in charge.

Glen Boyer

AUG. 27, 1975 -- MAY 28, 2004

DELAND -- Glen Lee Boyer, 28, of North High Street, an Orlando native, died Friday as the result of an automobile accident on Lemon Street in DeLand.

Mr. Boyer, who worked in the construction industry moved to this area in 1986 from his birthplace. He enjoyed fishing, the beach and swimming.

Survivors include a son, Drew, DeBary; his mother and stepfather, Mireya and William Jacks, DeLand; three brothers, Percival Fowles and Randolph Boyer, both of Orange City, and Anthony Boyer, DeLand; and a sister, Babette Boyer, Lake Helen. Allen-Summerhill, DeLand, is in charge.

Louise Collins

AUG. 18, 1920 -- MAY 27, 2004

DAVIE -- Louise Rice Collins, 83, of Davie, a former Ormond Beach resident, died May 27 at a nursing home in Davie.

Born in Grant, Ky., Mrs. Collins, a retired retail buyer, moved to Ormond Beach in 1988 from Cape Coral. She moved to Davie in 2002. She was a member of Tomoka United Methodist Church, Ormond Beach, and the Moose and Eagles lodges. An avid bowler, Mrs. Collins enjoyed casinos and playing cards, shuffleboard and bingo.

Survivors include two sons, J. Ronald Risheberger, California, and Bob Collins, Nevada; two daughters, Sandra Gilmore, Davie, and Patricia Gay, St. Augustine; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Forest Lawn Funeral Home South, Fort Lauderdale, is in charge.

Mildred DuVal

OCT. 19, 1929 -- JUNE 1, 2004

DAYTONA BEACH -- Mildred Lamastus DuVal, 74, of North Paul Revere Drive, a personnel director for the Miami-Dade County State Attorney's Office before her retirement, died Tuesday at Halifax Medical Center.

Mrs. DuVal was born in Lebanon and moved here in 1988 from Miami.

Survivors include three daughters, Suzanne Freshko, Port Orange, Yvonne Hickman, DeLand, and Renee Clark, Pine Island; two sisters, Nancy Bass, Winter Haven, and Elizabeth Doyle, Cave City, Ky.; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association of Florida, Central Area, 412 S. Palmetto Ave., Daytona Beach, FL 32114. Allen-Summerhill, DeLand, is in charge.

Albert Edwards

JUNE 15, 1951 -- MAY 30, 2004

JACKSONVILLE -- Albert Lee "Red" Edwards, 52, of Jacksonville, a native and lifelong resident of DeLand, died Sunday at home.

Mr. Edwards, an Air Force veteran, was a member of South Street Church of Christ, DeLand.

Survivors include his wife of three years, Geneva; a son, Frederick, Atlanta; two daughters, April Edwards, Deltona, and Shimetre Kyler, Daytona Beach; two stepsons, Shawn Jackson and Steven Sloan, both of Jacksonville; his mother, Dorothy Edwards, DeLand; a brother, Ervin, and two sisters, Catherine Looney and Helen Cummings, all of Hartford, Conn.; and two grandchildren. Unity, DeLand, is in charge.

Stephen Gates

FEB. 22, 1932 -- JUNE 1, 2004

PALM COAST -- Stephen H. Gates, 72, of Westrobin Lane, a former admissions director for Penn State University, died Tuesday at Florida Hospital-Flagler.

Mr. Gates, an Air Force veteran of the Korean War, moved here in 1994 from his native, Altoona, Pa. He earned his bachelor's and master's degrees from Penn State University. He was a member of Penn State Alumni Association, Daytona BeachPalm Coast chapter, and a lifetime member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, Palm Coast, and the Bavarian Hall Club, Altoona.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Joyce; three sons, Stephen, Centre Hall, Pa., Gregory, Seneca, S.C., and Donald, Tyrone, Pa.; his father, Quentin, and a brother, Quentin, both of Bellingham, Wash.; two sisters, Barbara Barr, Sun City, Ariz., and Joyce Jewell, Pittsburgh; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Memorial donations may be made to Daytona-Palm Coast Chapter, Penn State Alumni Association, co Student Scholarship Fund, Alan Rigner, 955 Lynn Circle, Ormond Beach, FL 32176. Anthony Kiziukiewicz

JAN. 31, 1971 -- MAY 30, 2004

PALM COAST -- Anthony Conlon Kiziukiewicz, 33, of Woodhill Place, a printer for RC Images, died Sunday at home.

Mr. Kiziukiewicz was born in Ocean County, N.J., and moved here in 2000 from Lacey, N.J. He played in the StemmCell Band and was an avid New York Yankees fan.

Survivors include his father and stepmother, Robert and Carol Kiziukiewicz, Palm Coast; his mother, Susan Kiziukiewicz, Lacey; two sisters, Sherrie Baggett and RaeNell Saparito, both of New Jersey; a stepbrother, Derek Reeves, Jacksonville; a stepsister, Erica Reeves, Navarre; and his stepgrandmother, Helen Guerin, Palm Coast. Coastal Cremation is in charge.

Eileen Marzullo

MARCH 17, 1923 -- JUNE 1, 2004

ORMOND BEACH -- Eileen Marzullo, 81, of Volunteer Lane, a teacher in New Jersey before her retirement, died Tuesday at The Arbors.

Mrs. Marzullo was born in Bordentown, N.J., and moved here in 2000 from Tucson, Ariz. She earned a master's degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University, Teaneck, N.J.

Survivors include her husband, Joseph; two sons, Charles, Lebanon, Ohio, and William, El Paso, Texas; a daughter, Ellen Dahlin, Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif.; and six grandchildren. Newlife Cremation is in charge.

Roberta Mathis

JUNE 5, 1920 -- MAY 28, 2004

WINTER HAVEN -- Roberta Casdorph Mathis, 83, of Winter Haven, a former Volusia County resident, died Friday at Winter Haven Hospital.

Mrs. Mathis, a bookkeeper and teller in the banking industry in Charleston, W.Va., before her retirement, was born in Charleston. She lived in DeLand and New Smyrna Beach until she moved to Winter Haven in 2002. She was a member and Past Worthy Matron of the Order of Eastern Star, DeLand.

Survivors include a son, Robert Jr., Charleston; a sister, Etheyn Fox, Alum Creek, W.Va.; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Edward Pierce Jr.

SEPT. 26, 1919 -- JUNE 1, 2004

WARREN, R.I. -- Edward A. Pierce Jr., 84, of Warren, the father of Ponce Inlet resident Cheryl "Sherry" Quintal, died Tuesday at Philip Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence, R.I.

Mr. Pierce, an Army veteran of World War II who was awarded the Purple Heart, was born in North Attleboro, Mass. He was the former owner of XL Jewelry Polishing Co. in Attleboro.

Additional survivors include his wife of 63 years, Norma; a son, Ronald, Anchorage, Alaska; a brother, Alfred, Maine; two sisters, Annie DiMoia, Attleboro, and Minnie Wakefield, Plainville, Mass.; two grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter. Alicia Reyes

JAN. 13, 1936 -- JUNE 1, 2004

PALM COAST -- Alicia Reyes, 68, of Fleetwood Drive, a resident since 1983, died Tuesday at Florida Hospital-Flagler.

Mrs. Reyes, a homemaker, was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and moved here from the Bronx, N.Y. She was a member of the First Hispanic Baptist Church of Palm Coast and the Spanish Social Club. Mrs. Reyes enjoyed reading, cooking, bingo, Mexican media art and church activities.

Survivors include her husband of 20 years, Daniel; a son, John Fitch, California; three daughters, Sonia Rivera, Queens, N.Y., Elizabeth Hricik, Warrensburg, Mo., and Lillian Rivera, Effort, Pa.; a brother, Eddie Rivera, Long Island, N.Y.; and two grandchildren.
