ALTA MacLEAN, 98, of Zephyrhills died Friday at Zephyr Haven Nursing Home. A native of Jasper, N.Y. she moved to this area four years ago from Sarasota. She was Baptist. She is survived by two sons, Norbert Sr. of Island Heights, N.J., and Richard MacLean of Torrance, Calif.; a daughter, Hazel Bornefeld of Zephyrhills; six grandchildren; 14 great- grandchildren; and 15 great-great- grandchildren. EDNA L. "NONNIE" NEWSOME, 84, of Dade City died Friday at Royal Oak Nursing Home. She moved to this area several years ago from her native Tampa. She was a retired sectionizer for the Pasco Packing Co., a wrapper for Circle B Meat Co., a shoe department clerk for Hardy's Department Store and a member of the First Baptist Church of Dade City. She is survived by her son, J. Lamar of Dade City; five sisters, Bessie Custard of Trilby, Reba Breeden of Lacoochee, Geneva Huffstutler, Katheryn Tinsley, and Mildred Rosier all of Dade City; nine grandchildren; and 11 great- grandchildren.
